yeah don't worry this tends to happen when new units are added with little testing in the test server. Should become more balanced over time, so keep pushing for it.

@@phonicstream9740 ah yes, asking for it to get nerfed but also showing how to counter it (hence why it isn't too op).
@Boolard-ln2pu though they are still op if you let them loose. They are a menace that needs to be stopped, and some of these methods help in this purpose
I like the idea of an SMG Squad but I don't enjoy having my grunts obliterated by some freaks with submarine guns and potatoes
So its fine if a unit that costs 140 less TIX can kill the mobility of a tank that cost 180 TIX, but it is not fine when a unit that costs 15 less TIX can obliterate a unit that cost 40 TIX.
@@goldenzed6455 RPG does mid damage to bt (40% max) and cant do anything against snipers and grunts (50% less damage against them) so he usually dies after attacking meanwhile SMG Squad is jack of all trades able to deal with grunts and armored units (SMG Squad does 20% max against bt while also having more hp and being cheaper).
He isnt anything OP but still annoying thanks to him being a glass cannon.

i absolutely despise SMG because even though combat engineers exist, their grenade does 20 DAMAGE to apcs and light vehicles like supply carrier, how does a grenade penetrate or even slightly scratch a BATTLE TANK (12 damage) COMPOSITE ARMOUR 40 CM THICK
funnily enough theres a more balanced version of SMG squad in the game, its just only obtainable with commands

The closest to anti-tank grunts we'll get. (I was thinking of an OP unit where grunts carried an RPG / bazooka with them, like weapon squads irl)

I use my grunts m and they die in one grenade smg combo
i feel like combat engineers are more of a menace than smg squad there grenades deal like 30 dmg to heavy armor

At least make its AT less because it still deals 20 damage to light armor

How to eat up your enemy's whole infantry group in pvp mode:
First you need light gunners positioned in their pushing way(predict it)
When you caught an enemy pull out a sniper to make sure there isnt any armor and just pull out a medium armored tank and a whole smg squad to eat up their whole infantry
Sniper team + Rocket Truck duo will obliterate SMGs

As someone who has gotten board of the campaigns and have beat them all. I mostly play PvP to show my skills and boost my ego. Im pretty sure SMG got nerfed but you still will find a SMG spammer in a lobby once. The problem is that they are not noobs and use BTs to sniper heavy armor for the SMGs. This really pisses me off because i dont want to change my loadout to counter SMG and not normal loadouts. So i've slowly merged rocket truck into my loadout and the nerf made it much better.
Nah grunt with the radio can still gang up on a smg.... WHAT IF i scout it down then take care of it first before it clap my grunts????

SMG is sooooooo broken that it instantly invalidates rifleman by alot aside of the pitiful 1 tile radio

I will say, in the defence of SMG users, I usually only use 2-3 SMG’s per starting spawn. And that combined with ambulance is a personal favorite.
The reason I use SMG’s is because I don’t use artillery in my attack builds (don’t say it’s not effective) so I have no need for radios, and using Grunt M is with ambulance is pointless. So SMG’s can use grenades as a substitute for arty, while being healed by ambulance.
Plus, I use modern tactics with SMG squads, such as tanking damage with vehicles and using infantry to snuff out other infantry.
All together (plus the German skin) I use blitzkrieg tactics most of the time, and SMG is perfect for this.

This video has a bit of fun in it, but honestly it was very useful for me. After this tutorial I understood how important is it to be able to pin down or scare a unit. I understood the importance and sheer power of snipers, now they always hold special place in my inventory as an ultimate anti infantry unit.

Flame tank actually does more damage than most of the rest of the options for fire, but is vulnerable to other tanks and AT
Flame tank is weird. It doesn’t have the range or flexibility to be used as effectively against infantry as other options yet it lacks any means of de de being itself against other armored units
Fact: grenade in SMG squad can anti-tonk if you have enough squad and do it (throw grenade) alternate, tonk will be lost hp. so I use this one to anti tonk if my tonk is out of fuel or don’t have a anti tonk unit
(Idk this fact is new for me or it just a normal one and I think my English skill is bad😅)

For me i chose the smg squad and grunts or grunts m (heres because: i was testing the test Server on ts but then... in normal ts i got the smg squad soo any body they not goes rage soo... yeah..)
how to destroy smg squads (simplified)
1. use aoe (they're cheap so they're very spammable so aoe)
2. sapper (use mines to slow them down)
3.tanks (distract and block the path)
4. recon car (go forward, attack, retreat, repeat)
5. high damage (one shot them)
Hmmmmm, might start using CS tanks, I have been looking for a tank that be anti infantry, yet still keep up with the tactics of the battle tank, CS tanks might just do it

How to neutralize SMG Squad one get sniper team as they have the longest range in infantry but you need to get the pins so you don't have to worry about your snipers getting killed by the SMG Squad how do you know that units these behind bullet trails when they attack the sniper team also has a radio to call an artillery if you have any artillery units on standby within range that have ammo
Me summarizing the video
I think that smg squad had their flaw and advantage their advantage is that is they are shock trooper so they will destory infantry in the way and light armor vehicle just like german ww1 stromtrooper now their flaw is when they attack and already use grenade that is your chance to counter back with grunt or artillery
Also I think that remove their multi attack would make them useless since they are not shock trooper anymore they would die before even had a chance to throw grenade

The balanced smg squad be like:
-25 > 30 tix
-can attack with its submachine gun twice
-Gernade cooldown: 3 > 2 turn
-Gernade dmg: 35 > 20
-Gernade 0 > 5 AP
-Submachine gun 4 > 2 ammo (both)
-Sub machine gun does 7-8 x 4 (28-32 dmg) instead of 10-11 x4 (40-44 dmg)
-90 HP > 85 HP
Just use rocket truck and howitzer. I don't even need anti vehicle in my deck because of them

I absolutely hate enemy smg units, i have full hp grunts, and some guests with fast rifle and exploding potato killed my grunts with 1 turn

My strategy for deleting those annoying guys who make playing on the veteran whatever difficulty like the second difficulty whatever extremely hard is to simply be like I don't care if you're good against vehicles or guys without much armor when it comes to your little grenades because I'm going to make them explode you with my SPAAAAAAAAAAAG and the extra a means them screaming as they get teleported into heaven faster than when you did a tutorial but you bring your own units such as a battle tank

when i play bedroom attack rigged trio i spawn many strong unit but third player spawn four smg squad to face 2 recon tank atgm and 1 recon car and second player spawn transport truck and rocket battery and yeah just transport truvk and rcoket truck no radio unit

Well because it’s a pre evolution to grunts, everyone is forced to at least use it a bit. Which is kinda a shame those players have to get dogged on for using smg when they have no choice
