Am from India, we have some 100 types of mangoes. There's no single way to cut a mango. For that matter, some mangoes don't even need cutting, one just sucks them from the top, and they are especially favourites of the kids. Its called chuska or chuski or something like that. Haven't had since I was a child.

But for other kinds of mangos, we peel off the skin

I use a potato peeling then cut around the seed and dice. It's the easiest way I've found with the least waste.
I have always done this and it is super helpful to eat it this way.

Don’t try to cut off as much meat on the side as possible. Just cut off some decent slices from the aide and munch on the seed with a lot of meat around it

You have good mangos in Jamaica. Outside Florida the USA has awful mangos that need to be cut because the skin tastes like cleaner & is covered in pesticides & wax
@@thehuntfortruth always a reminder to wash your fruits and veggies like they used to always say, it removes the wax which you shouldnt be consuming. its not dangerous to eat it whatsoever, but if you eat them very often you could end up causing some gut issues.

Crisscross method is for sure the best…except when they’re super ripe and juicy I might still eat them with my teeth.
The best way to eat anything is the way to it getting into your mouth, all other details leading up to that are for flair and flavor.

We always cut them this way, but I remember when my family went to Puerto Rico and one of my uncles down there picked a mango off the ground and started cutting it with a pocket knife to eat as we walked. I use this or a similar method a lot. When I’m making something like a mangoñada, I use a peeler to get the skin off then cut
I eat mangoes with the peel it's pretty tasty as the bitterness of the peel compensates well with the sweetness of the mango.
The skin is good af tho. So crunchy
I still like to peel it because doing the criss cross thing still left some of the flesh sticking to the skin. It felt like a waste

Mango is my favourite fruit of all times. I love eating mangoes because they are sweet and pulpy. My favourite part about eating mangoes is when we eat it with our hands and even though it becomes a mess, it is always worth it.
Moreover, the memories I have with this fruit makes it even more special. During my summer break, we visit my village along with the whole family. Thus, during the hot summer afternoons, my family sits beneath the tree together.
We take out mangoes from a bucket of cold water and sit down to savour them. Looking back at how much fun we used to have makes me extremely happy. Thus, I always get nostalgic when eating mangoes.
As a result, it brings good memories and happiness in my life. I love eating all varieties of mangoes. When we look back at the pre-historic existence of this fruit in India, we find that it has been around for many centuries.
As a result, a lot of varieties of mangoes are available. For instance, Alphonso, Kesar, Dasheri, Chausa, Badami and more. Thus, whatever the shape and size, I truly relish the king of fruits.

Definitely criss cross method! I have always seen mangos/mangoes sliced like that on mango products! Mango chunks, mango juice, and much more! And since I love mangos/mangoes I started wondering how to cut them like that. So, that's why I like criss cross method the most!

Cut the mango in half, peel the skin on one side, eat the side with no skin and use the other half the still has skin as a handle, and start eating, after I finish I peel the other half and eat it
