Tomo's first ever show with MARS :') Today is the 10 year anniversary of him joining the band, crazy! Also can't believe how much better live they are now, Jared's voice especially has matured so much since this :)

Not usually this one, since before Beautiful Lie it sold something like 40k records and only ever hit #107. I think if this was when they were at their best, they would have sold more records, made more than two videos, and played their own tours rather than just as opening band. BL sold half the amount S/T did in its first week than S/T did in 3 years. Still, to this day its got the least amount of sales. I'm not saying its a bad album, Buddah is actually my favorite of all their anthology. But to say their least popular, worst selling album that couldn't get them a headline show, the shows like the one here being a bit rough and without the later ease of confidence they have, thats just hipster. Honestly, if this was when they were 'good', this is when they would have blown up. I cant say I ever remember seeing Capricorn being played when it came out, and I watched all that MTV shit back then in highschool.
I think their good live when I went to the hollywood bowl they were amazing to me I think they've grown a lot but I have to admit I like their 1st and 2nd album better than the 3rd and 4th forever Echelon

And it's sad. Still listen to their first album in the car about once a week ... They were magnificent. And all the talk about how they are "grown up" nothing more than an excuse for the weak. I preferred their 1st album and even the 05 one. They had a much heavier sound. Mixed in with that electronic sound or prog rock. The later more poppy rock songs aren’t that bad, I just feel the early 2000’s albums more.
A lot of people saying they wish they would go back to this sound. I get it - This song, this album, is incredible! But if they stopped evolving, and stayed with one sound, then everyone would be complaining that they have no imagination! That they're a one-trick pony. I congratulate them on being open to new things, and continuing to make quality music. Rock on, boys!

Sorry but sadly 30 seconds are NOT a band anymore and that breaks my heart!!
Jared's voice is so different here than it is now. They do kinda' suck live. I hate to say it but it is true. All the live videos I have seen of them so far have sucked. I think this type of music was a bit out of his range live but the music they make now suits his range better. The thing that sucks is I like this music better than the stuff they have now! I wish I could like the new stuff but it isn't as good in imho.

I love this, it's purity. And it is really amazing how much Jared has improved in his voice. But this, I like this, it's raw... and I like raw.
It's the opposite. His voice got much worse over the years. That's why he doesn't scream anymore and sings mostly acoustic.
