Tyler Durden false stat and there’s a lot of economic reasons that can contribute to that. How am I encountering misogynoir in the comments of a Star Wars video?
No. It's just that most of the Jedi we've seen so far, and the Jedi Council's methods have been really flawed. The Dark Side is easier to tap into and use, but the Light Side is the natural manifestation of the Force, and as such is stronger. It's like the Dark Side has a lower skill floor than the Light, but the Light Side has much higher skill cap/ceiling.
Reason for Rule of Two Sith apprentices usually being stronger than most Jedi: The Sith will almost always pick someone that has the potential to equal or surpass them as their apprentices and successor. They followed this criteria for 1000 years. The Jedi take any force-sensitive child they find, regardless of potential. Therefore, on average the Sith apprentices will be more powerful than the average Jedi because the reason they were chosen was because they were anything but average. Also the dark side provides quicker results whereas the light works more on the long run, from my knowledge at least.
Not to mention Sith are trained to be hard from the beginning. Bane who made the rule of two left his apprentice on a remote planet with NOTHING and told her to meet him on some other planet in 7 days. She acted like the lil girl she was, killed a whole crew and stole a ship which she had NO IDEA how to pilot lol. And that was the first apprentice trained by the rule of two so just imagine how hard each one became there after
You did not explain the rule of two at all. The rule of two was created due to the constant infighting amongst the sith, where multiple weaker sith would topple a stronger one in order to gain its knowledge, but ultimately this caused the order to deteriorate in quality over time. Darth Bane solved this problem by creating the rule of two, where one sith learned from a master, and when ready, would challenge that master for the mantle of Dark Lord, continuing a progressing legacy of powerful sith lords.
On the contarary. Most Sith are scrubs. They are individuals too weak to forge any real bonds with others. This is why they choose the destructive and degenerate path of the Sith. It offers immense power to weaklings. Look at Palpatine. Once a tiny little boy who killed his entire family because of the intense power you can aquire by studying the Sith. The formal Jedi aren't much better, but this was just some food for thought.
Vyrisus The Sith code of passion and free will is exactly what leads them down the self destructive path. This could be the dark side consuming them from the inside, use of death sticks, rule of 2, senseless murder, etc. To me, this will to not want to forge bonds is a weakness as it is not self sustaining and will always stir up dissent. The empire almost never had a time of peace due to the fact that they were fighting fire with fire. If the Sith code is passion and free-will, why did the Emperor try and restrict the freedoms of others by military force? The Dark side IMO is one degenerate contradiction. One set of rules for the individual, another set of rules for everyone else. The Jedi aren't much better. They are the lesser of 2 evils, but they are/were the best choice for peace to be established on most planets. It paralells modern day American government. It's not the greatest, but it's a much better alternative to Communism and the like. Just to reiterate, when I say "weakness" it is more of an internal psychological weakness that chains into a path of self destruction. That is the way of the Sith. Palpatine felt the full wrath of his lack of bonding with Vader when he was chucked into the reactor core for using Vader as a pawn. This was a power play. Not a friendship. A sick and twisted apprenticeship. Nearly all Sith have a legacy of murder, death and genocide. You could argue the same for some Jedi, but at least from what we know; the Jedi council used Democracy to sue for peace until the Emperor took control. As Luke said in the 6th movie, "you're arrogance is your weakness". Palpatines retort was something to the effect of, "Your faith in your friends is yours". You can only remain king with no allies for so long before you are dethroned.
The Force is created by life. Most likely, it is quite literally the same as person's nature in the case of most living thing as we know them. Everyone has a dark side and everyone has a light side. The person is a mixing of the two in various quantities and ways. The mistake of both Jedi and Sith was that both cut out part of themselves. If they thought of "balance" as "a sane and well adjusted individual who accepts his nature and chooses to be benevolent" then we wouldn't have all these wars and they'd all be far more powerful.
So you're telling me that Jedi use emotions such as love for their power yet they aren't allowed to love anyone or grow attached to anyone? No wonder the Jedi are so goddamn weak.
@@brent9355 They do - because strong emotions usually end up leading one's decisions instead of reason and self-control. No matter what that strong emotion is, when it starts leading you instead of rationale, you are going down the dark path where you lose yourself. That is why they say that love leads to the dark side - not love in general but specific. I won't get too much into theology but think of it this way - God loves (according to various religions) but he/she/them don't love in the same way as us humans do. And that is the difference in love that light side and dark side users experience. "Godly love", love of everything but not attaching yourself to it is the Light side. Feeling love towards something or someone in particular and attachment is the dark side or better said, it leads to the dark side. That is why Jedi might seem "above" ordinary emotions - they spend years getting control over oneself and reaching higher methaphysical levels while Sith is in the moment, "living the life". They are completely different life philosophy, which you can find in our world as well - after all, this world was an inspiration for them. So yes, Jedi do feel love, but their experience of it is radically different than that of a Sith. They spend years to know the difference and master it. To a Sith, it is not a thing to be mastered but felt and lived.
Vader’s training of Starkiller is my favorite example of this. Despite being 17, thanks to the brutality that was having Vader as a master, he was able to become a grenade when he used the Force. He had to train while being constantly starved, having his limbs broken beforehand among a myriad of other things that forced him to learn to fight at a disadvantage.
Luke: "Is the dark side stronger?" Yoda: "No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive." Pretty much sums it up. It's easy to get strong fast as a dark side user.
@@Crazywaffle5150 Considering how difficult and grueling the path to becoming true Sith is, i'd not say that. It demands much more of you than the gradual and careful nurturing of the Jedi ways, but for the ambitious Sith that manage to do this it obviously does get them the returns they crave. (Although their path doesn't end there either)
@@Crazywaffle5150 Because when they do acquire power that frees them to do whatever the heck they please, they are not bound by Jedi code that tell them to dampen their emotions and not have relations or any of that either. It's something for either the truly ambitious or those that just want to explore this without the heavy restrictions the jedi would put on them. Jedi are bound to a life of duty with no romance, while Sith have more freedom in what they choose to do as long as they have the power to back up any higher ambitions they might have regarding that. They aren't 'chained' to the life of a monk, essentially.
@@waaromn Being chained to the life of a monk is what made the strong Jedi, strong. Hence why the "strongest" Sith lords were killed by Jedi who werent deemed the greatest.
"Is the dark side stronger? No no no. Quicker. Easier. More seductive." It's not that it's stronger, it simply requires less training to become good at, because you don't need resist your natural tendencies so much.
@Marek Mikuš The dark side consists in using your negative emotions, but you still have to control them. Otherwise instead of becoming stronger you become weaker.
mksmike strong Sith knew that strength came not from being angry and becoming impulsive from that anger, but using those feelings to sharpen your senses and better your decision making during a fight
@@WastePlace Yes. Strong sith knew that you had to control your anger and not let yourself be consumed by it, otherwise you'd become weaker instead of becoming stronger.
@S C Not really. The hard part of following the light is achieving the tranquility to resist the temptation without pretending it can't tempt you. This requires a level of understanding the jedi simply do not teach their students, out of fear that they might fall to the dark. Which in turn produces weak jedi, since their teachings are incomplete. The problem is not the light itself, but the jedi. Their teachings are too technical, they needed to be more practical. Do like Luke in legends did, let the students go out, explore, discover. If they let their students have a better understanding of how the dark side works, why and how it's more tempting, the light side users would be at least as effective as the dark side users.
We're constantly told that Dark Side isn't stronger yet we perpetually see otherwise. e.g. Maul (Sith apprentice) killing Qui-Gon (Jedi master), Dooku beating both Obi-wan and Anakin, Palpatine defeating Yoda, etc. Jedi seem to have serious problems whenever Sith appear on the scene, not the other way around. However, this video supports my theory that both sides of the Force are able to achieve the same level of power but Dark Side gets you there more quickly and more self-destructively.
Well, yes and no. On Bespin, Vader beat Luke quite profoundly. Onboard the Death Star II, Luke bested Vader only when he temporarily gave in to his emotions, tapping the power of the Dark Side. So, yeah, Luke won but with a little help outside the Light Side. Still, a Jedi had serious problems with a Sith.
So you hate him because he's overpowered? That's kind of the point of his character though... I mean, do you hate Nihilus because he's powerful? Do you hate Vader because he's the best duelist with a saber?
The best defense is a good offense, especially when you have a lightsaber. Beyond all of this and force powers, there is a fundamental skill discrepancy with bladework to be noted. The Jedi mostly don't fight properly with their tool (no one truly does, but I digress). A light saber is the ultimate rapier/fencing/dueling sword. Being aggressive is largely rewarded, as if you land first hit, there often are no more hits to be landed. You can fence defensively, but this is largely through dodging/parrying and riposting. Jedi are great at parrying but kinda shit at dodging and riposting. Maybe this is so they can lock blades and talk, but if a Jedi would learn how to backstep and quick lunge, they would destroy at least half their opponents outright. And from my experience fencing, it is a lot easier to all in someone than block. People who are inexperienced panic. So the aggression Sith use against Padawans would likely be overwhelming at times.
I'm curious now, you say light-side emotion like love and compassion ...yet jedi try to not feel anything at all for more clarity not muddled by emotions...while there are light-side sith...what gives?
The Jedi are able to love they just preach against connection. Plus that's a big flaw and inherently messed up way of thinking; which is why they ultimately failed.
I think there was only one notable light side 'Official' Sith lord, Darth Gravid. Gravid failed to perceive either the old ways (Sith Academy) or the new ways (Rule of Two) and he thought the Jedi way was right such that Sith won't kill each other and power could be preserved not by Two but by many. But he was just an ignorant who failed to understand Bane's philosophy. His belief of the Jedi way therefore was not built on his understanding of the Light Side, which is like love, compassion, purified emotion..., but only on his own undoing and confusion of both sides of the Force.
Simple: Dark Side is the path to quick power that ultimately corrupts and eats you from the inside out. It is not more powerful, but it peaks much quicker. True master Force users are about the journey, not reaching a destination (power level) quickly. Yoda is a perfect example. Discipline and patience >>> raw, quick-earned power, in the end - every time.
JuanJuanFive I would, but they're all dead... o.0 The Cosmic Force, eternally seeking balance, will ALWAYS equalize the balance of power. That's why the lie that the Dark Side is more powerful is exactly that - a lie. And since Dark Side users never abdicate power, there's a reason Luke was the most powerful Jedi/Sith of all time by a huge margin. The most powerful will always be Light Side.
Numinous lol sidious cloned himself, not dead. Nihilus was unmatched except by meetra, a wound in the force, sion couldn't be killed by anyone but himself. He had to let go of his hate to die, otherwise he was completely immortal, and yeah bane died but you gotta admit he was a beast in his time
JuanJuanFive There's nothing to dispute. If EU is allowed, everyone knows that Luke if by FAAAAAAAR the most powerful Force user ever by a huge margin; no Sith even comes close.
@@darkdragon3265 I honestly don't remember what I was really trying to say but I think i talking about the fact that one was a clone and the other was real.
All these people saying that they don't like Starkiller just because he's "overpowered" are dumb. Obviously, in film, he wouldn't be as powerful or at least not be able of the feats in the games. Stop whining about him already
Emon Clayton Exactly! I think it'd be really interesting especially with Ahsoka as his former apprentice. At the least they could do something in Rebels
I want StarKiller to be cannon, i want to see Ashoka and Starkiller meet. i just think it would be interesting to see two people who had the same person as their master but at two different points of his life
I think sith apprentices mostly only SEEM stronger than most jedi, because the nature of the dark side leaves only the strong ones alive. The light side of the force is safe to use and is more likely to protect you than put you in danger, so if you're an inept, weak, foolish, or merely average force user, you're still going to be able to stay alive as a jedi using the light side - remember, the jedi recruit from young children based solely on their force sensitivity, so aside from that sensitivity jedi should be a pretty normal spread of innate intelligence and strength. Among dark side users, on the other hand, the weak and stupid (at least, some types of stupid) die quickly and so we never get to see them, we only see strong ones. Therefore it may not necessarily be that sith are generally stronger, just the fact that weak jedi survive and weak sith don't gives us a distorted perspective.
Even so Jedi council members are supposed to be an elite group of the most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy and the majority of them were killed by regular nonforce sensitive stormtroopers Only exceptions being the 3 Jedi masters who tried to arrest Palatine, obiwan, and yoda.
Neither the dark side nor the light side are the strongest. The Jedi were strangely of the opinion they are the right ones. In the end, however, the prophecy was right that the Chosen One (in this case, Anaken Skywalker) balances the power. A Jedi = A Sith.Against this background, Jedi's eternal battle against Sith is nothing more than a simple interpretation of the eternal struggle good versus evil as two aspects of human psyche. "The Force" in itself is nothing but nature, or the natural power, which is neither good nor evil, it is simply there. It's not good or evil, it just depends on how you interpret it, nothing else.
No, he still destroyed the Sith. "Balance" in the sense of the force is like "Balance" in the sense of Taoism, where unbalance (dark side) needs to be eliminated for balance to be maintained.
I love that there stronger considering there's 1 sith for every 1000 jedi. My favorite sith apprentice is Asajj Ventress. Her story is great. Fallen jedi to sith assassin to bounty hunter. She falls in love and fights for that love. She redeems herself by clearing Ahsoka Tano's name. She is a prime example of the saying Love is the death of duty.
I don't think he would've fallen. His whole thing was that the Jedi didn't trust him and that they were evil. If Mace Windu agreed with him and simply disarmed Sidious, that would have stalled Anikan's turn. He would've been on the edge, but still in the light side of the Force. If Palpatine actually stood trial (I can't remember if Anikan said with the Council or the Senate but I'm going to go with Senate b/c there would be no doubt about a conviction from the Jedi), I think the Senate would have convicted him. Here's why: First of all, it would not be an immediate or unanimous decision. He would be locked up under 24/7 watch in a special cell guarded by Republic special guard troops(The dudes in blue who aren't clone troopers) and Jedi. The Senate would here testimony from Anikan and from Windu. I believe Anikan would tell the truth because Padmé's in the Senate. Before the testimony but after Palpatine's arrest, Anikan would receive counsel from Obi-Wan, Yoda, and other Jedi that he was close to. They would rationally explain to him why Palpatine couldn't help him. I believe that Obi-Wan at least would confront him about Padmé(I'm pretty sure that Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were aware of their relationship by the end of the clone wars cartoon. Ahsoka has noted on multiple occasions how close Anikan and Padmé are. Anikan has also told her that he's had feelings for somebody before(in response to her asking what to do about Lux). I'm pretty sure that she could put two and two together to get 4. I think Obi-Wan would've known because he's extremely close to both of them and has been in Anikan's situation before-he knows what it's like). He would explain that the Sith can't grant immortality and would remind him about Qui-Gon. Anikan would tell the truth at the trial and so would Windu(obviously). Palpatine on the other hand would try to weasel his way out of the situation. I also believe his duties as Chancellor would be temporarily suspended until the verdict of the trial and so Order 66 would not happen. The Jedi would have to admit their mistakes to the entire Senate or risk the Sith Lord getting away scotch-free. This would crate doubt in the Senate, but Senators like Padmé and Bail Organa would advocate for the Jedi. The medical reports of the Jedi Masters Sidious killed along with his light sabers would be presented as evidence. Remember, Sidious's face is still disfigured. The accounts of the fight would match up perfectly with the evidence-better than any lie Sidious could concoct. After a recess, the Senate would narrowly convict the Chancellor. This is becuase in many cases the Jedi have helped the worlds the Senators represent more so than the official government has. That and the fact that Padmé and Bail have pretty significant influence in the Senate would lead to this outcome. The chancellor would immediately be removed from office and a new election would occur in the Senate. Ideally Bail or Padmé would be elected, but some other senator we don't know about who's insanely popular could be elected as acting chancellor by the Senate. Or it would go to Palpatine's second in command(I'm not 100% sure how the Rpeublic line of succession works). I think that Anikan would be granted the rank of Master for his service to the Jedi. Obi-Wan would definetly advocate for this and it would be put to a vote to the Jedi Council. I believe the council would vote in favor. After all, Anikan resisted the dark side and exposed one of the most powerful (cannon) Sith of all time. This would easily earn him the rank of master. Sidious would be sentenced to execution, but would escape before the sentence was executed. He probably had some sort of redundant system to fall back on or could've used some Sith Force ability. Either way, he escapes. He would somehow acquire lightsabers, most likely from one of his Seperatist bases. After all, we see the Sith give their apprentices new weapons all the time-it would not be unreasonable to assume they have spare or easily obtainable crystals. Worst comes to worst, he could just make another one since Sith crystals are artificial(not sure if that's still cannon though. Rather than using clones for Order 66, he would hunt down and eliminate Jedi himself much as Vade had done. He would take a new apprentice and retreat into the shadows. The republic would remain intact but weakened and shaken to its core. The clone wars would come to a diplomatic end when the new administration promises to fight internal corruption and advocate for the people. To avoid further carnage and bloodshed, the CIS would reluctantly agree. A new chancellor would be elected on this platform, but corruption in the Senate would not immedietly end. The Jedi would still be attacked and be back where they started at the end of the Phantom Menace: They know the Sith exist, but have no clue how to find them or kill them. I believe that Sidious would bend the rule of two a bit here. He would train a main apprentice along with tons of Assasins/Dark Jedi to attempt to wipe out the Order. Palpatine would expand into the Outer Rim and betond searching for and training Dale side users. Some worlds would also throw their lot in with Palpatine. After the end of The Clone Wars and the election of a new Chancellor, Palpatine would convince a few key worlds of the Jedi's incompetence and corruption and of his innocence. His words would fall on sympathetic ears-those of the worlds plagued by crime and corruption in the absence of the Jedi to keep the peace. He would recruit the Zygerians(or whichever race used to have a galactic slave empire) to his cause. He would continue to train darksiders as assasins but not as true Sith while secretly training a Sith apprentice. These darksiders would be like the Inauistiors-they would enforce HIS rules and HIS laws on these worlds. This new collection of systems and planets would resemble the Galactic Empire very closely. Meanwhile, the Jedi are still fighting off the Inquisitors(the assasins the Palpatine is training) in addition to reforming their corps. They would be on higher alert for Sith walking among them and would have to make an exception for Anikan and Padmé's children. They couldn't risk losing Anikan again, especially since he was so close to the dark side before. This is not a major concern though-he's a Jedi master now who has resisted the most direct temptation to the Dark Side any Jedi or Sith has ever seen. I don't think the likes of Obi-Wan or Yoda would want to kick him out. They also couldn't risk the children. They would need to be trained in the light side of the force at the Jedi temple to protect them from being kidnapped for Palpatine's army(there is evidence in TCW that he kidnapped force sensitive younglings to train in the dark side). After ignoring the problem for awhile, the Republic would need to go to war again. This time, however, they would learn from their mistakes and commission a Police Corps to keep the peace domestically. This corps would be an alternate path for Jedi Knights: Either become a general in the army or an equivalent rank in the Police corps. Citizen generals and police would be utilized this time around. I believe that clones would still be used as soldiers, but with their chips removed. After many long years of war against the Empire(which would be like if the rebels equivalent to their strength in ROTJ had Jedi on their side-an all out war against a slightly more powerful opponent.). The Empire would be more powerful initially becuase they wouldn't waste time with diplomacy or democracy like the Speratists did. Palpatine would carry over plans for things such as the Death Star and other super weapons either by stealing them himself or via his people in the Republic Senate. Ultimately Palpatine would lose the war like in regular continuity. Then events would set themselves up for Episode Seven. I think that by this time Yoda would've passed away naturally. Luke become a powerful and influential Jedi Master( I believe Leia would receive Jedi training and reiceve the rank of Master but would take more after her mother and work in politics to better the Galaxy-she would become a respected Senator, maybe even on the Republics equivalent of the security council after her mother retires rather than a Jedi council member). Luke would be the most powerful Jedi by that time and would advocate for reforms of the shrinking Jedi Order(Jedi are being killed by assasins faster than they can train them). While Yoda was alive, he too would have advocated for separation from the Republic politically. Luke would have his own Jedi academy off of Courascant, like a second Jedi temple just in case Palpatine managed to take the first one. It wouldn't quite like the original, but almost as massive and well protected. Kylo Ren would still cause a tradgedy at Luke's academy(killing almost every youngling in the Corps) and form the First Order under Snoke. Luke would go into hiding and the rest of the order would fade into the background. As for how Palpatine falls, I think it would be cool if the child of his secret apprentice became a Sith assasin but turned to the light side and managed to turn his father Luke-Vader style, but that would be stretching it. TL;DR: Anikan's a master, Luke's Jedi, Leia's a Jedi turned Senator, Padmé retires after serving one term(the most allowed after Palpatine) and being in the Senate, there's another war (Jedi v Sith) and everything works itself out to set up for Episode VII.
there was a quote by some sith lord i can't remember that there's always a balance in the force and since the rule of two was "forcefully" introduced to the sith by darth bane: the dark side of the force literally is split between the master and the apprentice thus they become more powerful in the force than most jedi
Darkonn 27 It's still a valid question. Not all darksiders are Sith, but that also means you can't only consider a trained Sith when discussing matters of the dark side.
i';m not sure but i think it's relative though , the dark side of the force isn't exclusive to the sith but they are the most powerful and the best trained in the way of channeling emotions. it's not like a weak force user becomes suddenly powerful i guess it';s more like a fate that takes form from the balance of the force, in clear words: my understanding for it that as long as the the sith are few the dark side of the force will be gifted by powerful practitioners of the dark side ! i could be wrong but that's how i understand it
The picture at 1:24 is haunting on such a deep level. You think back to episode one when Anakin and his mother lived happily on Tatooine. Anakins dreams of becoming a Jedi and saving the galaxy, Shmis hopes for her son to break out of the poverty and have a better life. And this is where they end up. So tragic.
A dude's thoughts they could but the fan backlash would cripple the movie or series things like changing a costume design will "ruin childhoods" for people. making a character a different skin color or even genderswapping also has the same effect.
The Jedi are, in fact, responsible for disrupting the balance of the Force. By forsaking the Dark Side, they made Tython uninhabitable for a time, and made it possible for members of their order to fall to darkness.
If they do that...I kill myself. Ezra firstly, is much MUUUCH younger than Starkiller. Also if Starkiller appears again, it could be that they take the end of the Light site ending, and make him the Founder of the Rebellion. Which Ezra isn't. Ezra is a looser. With a big nose.
I thought that the Force was in a constant struggle for balance, and a part of the Rule of Two had to do with the fact that when both the Jedi and Sith were numerous, the Light and Dark side of the Force were balanced and the powers of the opposing forces were comparable, but when the Sith limited themselves to just two members, the Force compensated by granting greater powers to the limited number of Dark Side practitioners in order to achieve a semblance of balance over the multitude of Light Side wielders. Darth Bane thought that dominance could be achieved more effectively by two very powerful cooperators rather than an army of weaker Force sensitives.
There is effectively no balance, the galactic wars continue, whether there are Jedi and Sith or not, granted that the millennia of wars between the two factions were led by both the Jedi and Sith, and you could say that they are the Force's physical manifestation of the struggle, the way I like to look at it is this way. -The Jedi hunted down and killed pretty much all of the Sith EVEN the mass genocide of the Sith race itself, which the Jedi not only lead, but they are the ones who brought their lightsabers down onto the Sith men, women, and children, they went harder than Anakin did on that Tusken Raider camp and the younglings combined. And when that happened the force became further imbalanced, so what happens years later? When the "Chosen one who will balance the force" is born? He ultimately slaughters all of the Jedi down to a number equal to the Sith and then he destroyed the Emperor and also died himself, which left Luke at that very moment, the only trained force wielder at that time, not only that but he's experienced and used both sides of the force so there is a sense of balance in him with the force, as to why Lucas said that Episode VI was supposed to be the last Star Wars movie ever, but then Disney decided to get their monopoly on and buy everything so now they are making Disney princesses from Star wars and in my opinion are effectively fucking it up, there's a lot of people upset with the movies now-a-days but that's a topic for another time.
Bane instilled the rule of two because he believed while the spring of light side force power was infinite, the spring of dark side power was finite. Therefore the more unworthy practitioners that tapped into the well, the less power was available to those truly worthy.
Liam DLiam soooo lets just think about this. Batman a mere mortal took on a god like creature by himself and won. Superman out ranks every sith amd jedi and yet batman nearly killed him. You still think batman would lose? Also batman took on the flash whose punch is equivalent to that of a dwarf star explosion and beat him.
tito22212 the dark side is NOT more powerful. quicker, yes. More violent. The Jedi focus on things that are not as showey. Healing, balance, meditation. maybe a Sith apprentice can kill a Jedi master sure, but a Jedi who has mastered the force and himself can not be stopped by death. Darth Vader killed the Jedi which started an empire that lasted decades. the Jedi order watched over a republic that lasted (in what was probably a boring state) peacefully for millennia
William Bodack I do not deny Yoda's wisdom, but he is a dogmatic monk who could not see the error of the Jedi Order and its teachings until after it was destroyed.
Peace is a lie. There is only passion Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power I gain victory! Through victory my chains are broken! THE FORCE SHALL SET ME FREE!
This bickering is pointless. The Jedi are extinct. Their fire has gone out of the universe. The last traces of that ancient religion have been swept away.
No they're not. Luke Skywalker is alive. Unless Snoke is an old Sith Lord, they're the ones that are gone, Moff. 'Sides, didn't you die in a REALLY big housefire?
WaifuBeater technically it wouldn't. Because it would leave one Jedi(luke)and one sith(snoke) in the galaxy. So balance would still have been achieved in the force.
Zack Frailey It usually does. That's like saying if you have five men and each of them have a sidearm with 20 bullets they can kill 100 men armed with assault rifles.
I did.. you are still assuming there is no logical explanation which there clearly is he became arrogant. It happens in real life as well fighters get arrogant because they think they are winning then next minute they are on the ground k.o
Im fairly certain that Dooku was, while not entirely informed as his face shows in Episode III, was told to basically not kill Anakin himself. Probably expecting to just stay in power alongside Sidious regardless of outcomes as he knew about Order 66 and was already in play with Sidious during Episode I albeit just behind the scenes as Palpatine was not Chancellor yet... so no full out war. All in all my point is really Dooku was well informed, this what if is something but he was never going to kill Anakin, just give him reasons to turn to the darkside. When da Emps was like "Good good Anakin... kill him." Dooku was like "Yo dude thats some bullllssshiiiitttt we did all this shit and to turn this dumbass but now.." and yadda yadda yadda not gonna kill Anakin. Dooku actually had reason not to, the plot didnt just demand it.
I would not care if my face is scary, fear is a tool of the Sith, and yeah beating a bunch of treehugging hippie Jedis would be a hell of a time. Also the eyes look awesome.
Fox Hound how is Palpatine a slave again?! How was Marka Ragnos a slave again?! How was Vitiate a slave again?! If you serve an ashole Sith yes it sucks, but sometimes you have a cool master, and better when you become the master. Now being a Jedi, having to be in balance all the time, not feeling emotions besides compassion, never banging anyone, I bet Obi Wan died a virgin, same as Yoda and Windu, really sad old virgins. Also using the Dark Side you dont have to follow a master, you can just go out in the galaxy with your Smugler/Pirate/Bountyhunter ship mind raping everyone to get all the ass you need. Just if you take Maul and Vader they were depression masters cuse their leader was an ass.
Kai Lester Yeah but Mace Windu actually uses the dark side to give him more power, but he doesn't let it control him. He uses both light and dark to his advantage.
not scrody no he is not he uses both like a grey but he does not follow the will of the force he was a slave to the republic which is why he isn't a grey
One additional reason you didn’t mention is that Sith knowledge of the force exceeds that of the Jedi for two reasons. 1. While the Sith focus primarily on the Dark side, they are not forbidden to use aspects of the light, while the Jedi treat the dark side as strictly taboo. A Sith, Dark Jedi or Grey Jedi can therefor draw on more of The force than can a member of the Jedi order. 2. The Sith have more force knowledge than do the Jedi because their knowledge comes from the combined heritages of the Dark Jedi who landed on Korriban, and that of the ancient Sith race who had their own Dark force traditions (such as Dark force alchemy) that were unknown to the Jedi.
Actually a very good statement. Good attracts more "go with the flow" types. Evil attracts people with much more motivation and competence. It is true in the real world as well.
Started roughly 4 thousand years ago, look at wookipedia for specifics before the first death star was destroyed. Before there were jedi or sith. There was a debate over the rights of force users. Obviously one side felt that they should be restrained, the other side felt that they had a right to rule all others due to their superiority. A civil War started and consumed both sides. In the end the side that would become the jedi won and banished the other side that would become the sith from the known galaxy. The defeated Dark Jedi as they were Known at the time wandered the Known territories until they wandered across a hospitable planet called Koriban. They found the race known as the Sith there. Yes the Sith were a species first. The sith were naturally force sensitive but didnt know how to use it. The Largely human Dark Jedi conquered them easily and then using sith alchemy changed their anatomy to be more human and well they intermingled for about 2k years. The Sith would eventually start the first Sith Empire in the unknown territories and finally launch the first wars against the Jedi and their republic, who thought that the original Dark jedi they banished where gone long ago. This war forced the Jedi to advance their battle tactics and create what would become known at the Army of Light. They were extremely successful drove back the sith took their territory until all that was left was Koriban. Dont remember the story past this point but at some point the sith that were more sith species related were all killed. Sith came to just represent the name of those that followed the original sith species and their Dark Jedi masters ways. Hence the birth of hte modern sith and jedi.
Honestly, I think people just make the whole Jedi/Sith difference more complicated than it has to be. At its core its actually very simple. See, a normal person without force sensitivity or powers isn't really all that dangerous in comparison and they can swing both ways and "screw up and clean themselves up" without much determent to others. The problem with Jedi and Sith is that they are playing with A LOT of POWER. And with power and control comes much RESPONSIBILITY. That is why one needs to choose a side and just go with it. There isn't much room in the middle to screw around. The reason why is because one must learn to use the force responsibly OR do the exact opposite, use the force completely IRRESPONSIBLY. A Jedi has learned to USE and WIELD the force with complete control. This takes much more personal responsibility and care as the power must be used CAREFULLY. A Sith on the other hand is more POWERFUL because he learns to use brute power with NO CARE IN THE WORLD - He simply UNLEASHES it without giving a second thought to who he may hurt or what he may damage, In this condition of denial, he thinks he is in control of great power, but in reality the sheer power of the force is controlling HIM, destroying him bit by bit as he destroys everything. Remember it is soo much easier to destroy then to save or create. What is easier to do ? save 10 people from destruction, or destroy 10 people ? See its actually just EASIER to be a sith, and once a Jedi has reached his true potential, its VERY difficult not to just "flip the switch" and watch your power go 10 times stronger because you basically just let go and stopped giving a fuck lol. This is why you can only go one way or the other. You are either responsible for your actions or not. It takes quite a unique and rare individual to "master" both sides and it seems like putting oneself through the hell of attempting this would just be a real waste of time and cause real conflict within an individual. The whole purpose of training to be either is to BECOME more powerful. But do you choose to use your powers for the benefit of others, or just for yourself, because anyone who would desire such power to further ones own ends would have to be evil as there is just no need for a good person to be so powerful, unless he was going to use it for good things. Power corrupts. It must be wielded carefully, and properly, or else it will destroy other people and things, as well as the wielder. And with the Force we are talking about the very essence of LIFE itself... The light side of the force IS life, the dark side is death...
I think this makes sense. Sith are quick to punish failure and intolerant of weakness. It is much harder to become a sith apprentice than it is to become a Jedi padawan, although its easier to use the dark side than the light. The standards are much higher for sith and they often suffer from arrogance and infighting which is why the Sith Empire(s) Failed. So you'll be more powerful but also be more likely to die. Its a trade off I guess
These are pretty good points and make good reason in lore. Outside of lore and entering meta, there is also a very good reason for the Sith to be individually strong enough to face a Knight or two and win: in most cases, the Knights are so numerous that they are literally just soldiers in an army, while the Sith are so few that you know each by name and unique attire. The few cases where all these rules are broken have the Sith ruling as an Empire, such as The Old Republic trio of games, where KotOR1 has a whole army built up straight out of the Order, KotOR2 has the remnants of that army and also had destroyed most of the Order, leaving alive the Council and some stray Knights and Masters, reversing the equation, and TOR has the Order and Republic galactic armies against the Sith Empire, which is constructed of soldiers below and Sith above. Even the Galactic Empire didn't have an actual Sith army because Palpatine feared his Rule of Two alone would be the end of him, so much so he had his engineers make Vader's suit more restrictive than it could have been.
That is why my favourite EU character is Revan, granted that people thought of how his story ended was silly but the fact that, that guy was so powerful in the force on both spectrums that when he died, he came back to life but split in half as two beings, one of light and the other of dark. Pretty crazy if you ask me, and both orders would have you believe that the teachings of their enemy with fuck you up if you learn, I think that's just foolish.
There are a couple of reasons how Jedi "weigh out" the Sith. That is to say, the allusion to Yoda replying that the dark side isn't more powerful than the light. It's a fast and easy path to power, but power isn't ultimately what Jedi are seeking. Power is just an incidental result of seeking enlightenment on the light side. How the light side balances is both through long-term involvement with the Force, like with Yoda, as well as being able to integrate with the force as with force ghosts. What's more, Jedi make better neighbors, so to speak, so they are better able to form alliances, respect the autonomy of other cultures, and peacefully coexist. Sith seek to dominate and overtake, and while they seek peace, the only peace they tolerate is that of submission of those who differ with them. In the end, the light and dark side tend to remain in balance over time, neither being more powerful, just differing in how the power is attained and why.
The problem with the Jedi order is that they don't use positive emotions, they try to have no emotions. This is evidenced by their ban on having relationships. While the stated reason is that it avoids them giving in to negative emotions, it also stops them from cultivating strong positive emotions such as Love. Darth Revan advocacy of true balance being rejected.
I excuse myself in advance if there's a video already covering the topic, but now that you mentioned it, you know what would be really interesting? A video explaning how sith came to choose their apprentinces throughout the ages. You mentioned that some sith apretinces are genetically made, but in the case that they go and look for an student, how did they do it? That would be a nice video!
By far my favorite sith apprentice was Galen Marek/Starkiller. I've read both books of TFU and played both games. I've also watched your video of "How powerful was Starkiller" which was awesome.
Thats a different game, rey sue is a class on her own, it grands divine rank 0 as well on level one and has the prerequisite tio be the storytellers girlfriend. Also most tellingly its homebrew.

And when she's the last one coming then the game is dead.
As always Stu...great video!!! Young Maul was my favorite sith apprentice!!! Question.....Do you think Luke has used Force Lighting, and against Snoke? That would be the reason for Snoke's scares and the reason Snoke fears Luke.
Anakin is my favorite jedi apprentice that or Ahsoka my favorite sith is definitely Darth Vader although Darth Revan(is that how it's spelled? I've never seen it written down) is cool
Really it comes down to the fact that the Jedi seek to be peaceful and do not use The Force as a weapon, or they aren't supposed to anyway. Being the more peaceful of the two, they've never trained to the point of life or death struggle, whereas it is common for Sith to throw each other into pools with piranhas and offer no praise if they make it out alive. Just the simple act of having to duel to the death is a great labor for a Jedi. For a Sith it is just like any other day. They also have the tendency to adopt more exotic lightsaber fighting styles, which aren't trained for, and develop Force powers that the Jedi refuse to use.
Fav Sith Apprentice: Maul Not the most powerful but one of the most coolest and badasses. Fav Jedi Apprentice: Obi-Wan. The DUDE KILLED A SITH, as a young Jedi apprentice! Also the coolest character of the prequels, hands down.
nice analisis, as for your questions: 1) yes, i am okey with sith aprentices being so powerful, most of them were jedi before ever becoming siths so they have the training from both worlds, plus the fact they are so powerful helped give a sense of urgency to their defeat, for me the siths were the embodiment of the phrase "Quality over quantity" and, should they fight head on with the jedi order they would have been decimated, giving them the handicap of the Rule of Two not only made them become more clever and secretive, but it also made them far more interesting as villains since not every story has the villains starting on the struggling end. 2) my fav sith aprentice: Darth Tyranus (yes i'm a noob when it comes to the E.U, bite me lol)
Sith are like Spartan IIs, where only the very best of the best are selected. They're (usually) going to end up stronger and more skilled because the screening process for entry is so much more strict, but at the same time there's only ever a handful of them. Jedi are like Spartan IVs, where most people with even a hint of skill are accepted. They cast a much broader net, which means the average skill and potential of their candidates will be lower than that of the Sith (even though their strongest, like Master Windu and Master Yoda, are on par with the strongest of the Sith), but they compensate by having much greater numbers available.
There's another reason. The presence of the lightside is diluted by the numerous jedi whereas the relatively few dark side users embodied by the 2 sith at any point and the odd witch means that the dark side concentrates and pools much more strongly in them. Balance
There is also 1 on 1 training vs 1 training many. 1 on 1 training allows fine tunning down to every flaw. However 1 trainer training many allows flaws and hik ups to slip through in the beginning.
Long story short: The dark side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural.
Is it possible to learn this power?

The Stupendous Wave Haha, thank u, thank u.
B.t.w., maybe do a vid on Bane vs. Malgus? 😉
So basically Star Wars is completely flawed, because a jedi just gets killed no matter what?,unless the turn to the darkside?
John-Michael Barnhill agree tp starkiller but jedi aprentice ahsoka tano
Reason for Rule of Two Sith apprentices usually being stronger than most Jedi:
The Sith will almost always pick someone that has the potential to equal or surpass them as their apprentices and successor.
I see
what is the purpose of this comment this was literally said in the video
@@ejlo8650 exactly saves me the time from wasting my time watching a 5 minute video which really should be a single minute
Because the Sith don't pick scrubs.
Exactly, it is like the Sith is playing with a stacked team, no bench riders.
Vyrisus
The Sith code of passion and free will is exactly what leads them down the self destructive path.
+BigEvan96 What?!
+bigevan I disagree, sith weren't accepting weaklings and failures.
Honestly the force is such a good analogy of the human condition and the duality of human nature
@@midgetydeath agree you need both

So you're telling me that Jedi use emotions such as love for their power yet they aren't allowed to love anyone or grow attached to anyone? No wonder the Jedi are so goddamn weak.
Exactly. they made the mistake that strong emotions would lead to the dark side, when that isn't always thrue
They forgot their #1 rule. Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
@@nomad40025 That would make every Jedi a Sith - because the moment you say "Only a Sith", you are expressing an absolute statement. XD

Sith are lazy fucks.
@@waaromn Why would you wanna be stressed out. ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Why be sith when you can just be chill?
No no no. Quicker. Easier. More seductive."
It's not that it's stronger, it simply requires less training to become good at, because you don't need resist your natural tendencies so much.
This requires a level of understanding the jedi simply do not teach their students,
out of fear that they might fall to the dark.
Which in turn produces weak jedi, since their teachings are incomplete.
The problem is not the light itself, but the jedi. Their teachings are too technical, they needed to be more practical.
Do like Luke in legends did, let the students go out, explore, discover.
If they let their students have a better understanding of how the dark side works, why and how it's more tempting,
the light side users would be at least as effective as the dark side users.
That makes the most sense.
Geddit is that you?
No.
Not always. Luke (Jedi Padwan) defeats Darth Vader (Sith Lord). He only became a Jedi Knight AFTER he defeated Vader.

Do you hate Vader because he's the best duelist with a saber?
your right
Mine is Vader
That's why my SWTOR Jedi learns Lightsaber Form 4.. it's aggressive and highly acrobatic. I focus on damage.
Love as in compassion for all, not holding any more of it for any one person than any other like how Anakin loved padme more than anyone else.
The Stupendous Wave did Luke's new Jedi order solve this issue?
Love does not mean "romance". Love as an action putting others before yourself is true love.
Numinous tell that to sidious, sion, bane and nihilus
He had to let go of his hate to die, otherwise he was completely immortal, and yeah bane died but you gotta admit he was a beast in his time
JuanJuanFive You have been seduced by the lies of the specious power of the Dark Side, and the imagination of the EU o.0
JuanJuanFive There's nothing to dispute. If EU is allowed, everyone knows that Luke if by FAAAAAAAR the most powerful Force user ever by a huge margin; no Sith even comes close.

DevilJin Yeah, and it doesn't even need to be the exact same character (though preferably similar).
Eh I mean we are kinda getting hints of a "starkilleresque" character in Ezra.
Even so Jedi council members are supposed to be an elite group of the most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy and the majority of them were killed by regular nonforce sensitive stormtroopers
Only exceptions being the 3 Jedi masters who tried to arrest Palatine, obiwan, and yoda.
Because of this I'm an grey Jedi
No, he still destroyed the Sith. "Balance" in the sense of the force is like "Balance" in the sense of Taoism, where unbalance (dark side) needs to be eliminated for balance to be maintained.

karma lord lol right? Cause really that was the no going back moment for anakin.
Nishanth Narayan. i gotta say that scenario you made would of been very interesting.
there was a quote by some sith lord i can't remember that there's always a balance in the force and since the rule of two was "forcefully" introduced to the sith by darth bane: the dark side of the force literally is split between the master and the apprentice thus they become more powerful in the force than most jedi
Dodo Shade that's actually a really cool thought, but what happens if there is an assassin like Ventress? Would that means it's split 3 ways?
Nate Kerr ventress is a sith assassin(she used the dark side but was not teached in the sith ways)
Darkonn 27 It's still a valid question. Not all darksiders are Sith, but that also means you can't only consider a trained Sith when discussing matters of the dark side.
i';m not sure but i think it's relative though , the dark side of the
force isn't exclusive to the sith but they are the most powerful and the best
trained in the way of channeling emotions. it's not like a weak force
user becomes suddenly powerful i guess it';s more like a fate that takes
form from the balance of the force, in clear words: my understanding for
it that as long as the the sith are few the dark side of the force will
be gifted by powerful practitioners of the dark side ! i could be wrong but that's how i
understand it
Ventress at this point is a Dark Jedi. She uses the dark side of the force for her own selfish ambitions instead of for the betterment of the galaxy.
So tragic.
We need a star wars film over the rise of Star Killer
True, show that one of the kickstarters of the rebellion was Vader's secret apprentice!
He's not canon anymore.
TheMatriX dasaan and Kyle katarn
why he's a stupid op character that doesn't belong in the lore, it's a good thing starkiller isn't canon.
A dude's thoughts they could but the fan backlash would cripple the movie or series things like changing a costume design will "ruin childhoods" for people. making a character a different skin color or even genderswapping also has the same effect.
A quote that always stuck with me.
"Unlike. the Jedi, the Sith are not *_afraid_* to feel. This is why the Sith will always be stronger."
The Jedi are, in fact, responsible for disrupting the balance of the Force. By forsaking the Dark Side, they made Tython uninhabitable for a time, and made it possible for members of their order to fall to darkness.
They actually catalyzed the inception of the dark orders by exiling the "fringe" Jedi 5k years I think before BBY.
Another impeccable video by Stupendous Wave.
Thanks so much!
i really hope starkiller is introduced into the cannon in some form or another
Lewis Aldridge L
Lewis Aldridge Ezra
If they do that...I kill myself. Ezra firstly, is much MUUUCH younger than Starkiller. Also if Starkiller appears again, it could be that they take the end of the Light site ending, and make him the Founder of the Rebellion. Which Ezra isn't.
Ezra is a looser. With a big nose.
Lewis Aldridge no.
TurKlack thats awfully dramatic.
Adam Johnson darkness rises and the light to meet it
There is effectively no balance, the galactic wars continue, whether there are Jedi and Sith or not, granted that the millennia of wars between the two factions were led by both the Jedi and Sith, and you could say that they are the Force's physical manifestation of the struggle, the way I like to look at it is this way.
He ultimately slaughters all of the Jedi down to a number equal to the Sith and then he destroyed the Emperor and also died himself, which left Luke at that very moment, the only trained force wielder at that time, not only that but he's experienced and used both sides of the force so there is a sense of balance in him with the force, as to why Lucas said that Episode VI was supposed to be the last Star Wars movie ever, but then Disney decided to get their monopoly on and buy everything so now they are making Disney princesses from Star wars and in my opinion are effectively fucking it up, there's a lot of people upset with the movies now-a-days but that's a topic for another time.
youa re correct sir. the reason sith are stronger is casue the rule of two.
Bane instilled the rule of two because he believed while the spring of light side force power was infinite, the spring of dark side power was finite. Therefore the more unworthy practitioners that tapped into the well, the less power was available to those truly worthy.
Kyle Katarn once told me sides of the Force don't matter.
of course they dont as you can learn both dark and light powers at Luke's jedi academy without any consequence at all
What if Batman was force sensitive?
Too overpowered
he could nearly defeat Vader without any force powers
Liam DLiam soooo lets just think about this.
Batman a mere mortal took on a god like creature by himself and won. Superman out ranks every sith amd jedi and yet batman nearly killed him.
You still think batman would lose?
Also batman took on the flash whose punch is equivalent to that of a dwarf star explosion and beat him.
JuanJuanFive and you can't take a joke
Liam Dunn and vader without his suit hes weak and can't move. plus he is slower than shit
Favorite sith apprentice 100% fallen starkiller
Mr Trooper finally someone who likes me
Galen Marek > all
well i didnt expect that
I agree! He's been my favorite since the game came out. I really appreciate the path he took from the dark side to the light side.
I was the greatest apprentice to ever live!
The Darkside is ultimately stronger. Says George Lucas.
As it should be. The Jedi are pathetic and the galaxy needs the Sith in charge.
tito22212 the dark side is NOT more powerful. quicker, yes.
William Bodack You deny true power my friend. Maybe one day you will embrace the dark side >:)
Yoda warns us of this temptation. How does the internet so quickly forget his words, possibly the most definitive words on the Force?
William Bodack I do not deny Yoda's wisdom, but he is a dogmatic monk who could not see the error of the Jedi Order and its teachings until after it was destroyed.
Peace is a lie.
There is only passion
Through passion I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.

Fav Sith apprentice: Starkiller
Starkiller is one of my favourite Star Wars characters of all time. He is a powerful Sith-Turned-Jedi!
My favorite sith apprentice is starkiller and jedi apprentice is Ashoka
Mark B Ashoka wasn't a sith apprentice.
NetsuretsuAnimeFan fixed
they both became more like Grey jedi or dark jedi
That picture of Anakin and his Moms force ghost is dope af
This bickering is pointless. The Jedi are extinct. Their fire has gone out of the universe. The last traces of that ancient religion have been swept away.
No they're not. Luke Skywalker is alive.
Unless Snoke is an old Sith Lord, they're the ones that are gone, Moff.
'Sides, didn't you die in a REALLY big housefire?
Reports of my death were greatly exaggerated.
Snoke can't be an ancient sith lord because it would directly interfere with the prophesy.
WaifuBeater How would it interfere with the prophecy if he's an ancient Sith Lord?
WaifuBeater technically it wouldn't. Because it would leave one Jedi(luke)and one sith(snoke) in the galaxy. So balance would still have been achieved in the force.
Then why didn't Maul kill Kenobi?
Plot armor
He answered that in the video
Ebun321 Did you read my entire comment? ;)
Will M all it takes is one blow. In sword combat, victory does not necessarily equal superiority.

What if dooku killed Anakin/obi wan in episode 2
Nathan Jones no that would change way to much. It would change everything that happens from that point on.
Nathan Jones That's a great "What If!"
Nathan Jones then no star wars
Dooku actually had reason not to, the plot didnt just demand it.
sounds like the original trilogy is dead lol (or insanely different)
Excellent video description of the powerful Sith apprentices in the series.
Still not worth the risk of looking like a melted candle
darkblood626 But they get the most badass masks
darkblood626 last time I check. If you're completely power hunger like Palpatine then...... melted face
I would not care if my face is scary, fear is a tool of the Sith, and yeah beating a bunch of treehugging hippie Jedis would be a hell of a time.
Also the eyes look awesome.
MrFantocan i dont see how being a sith is cool, i mean sure they have cool powers but they become slaves to their own powers
Just if you take Maul and Vader they were depression masters cuse their leader was an ass.
the other reason sith kill so many Jedi is because sith take the offensive
Raz Taz not necessarily, while sith might more commonly use aggressive light saber forms, Jedi such as Mace Windu use aggressive forms as well
Kai Lester
Yeah but Mace Windu actually uses the dark side to give him more power, but he doesn't let it control him. He uses both light and dark to his advantage.
Dr. Steve Brule yah he is a grey Jedi
not scrody no he is not he uses both like a grey but he does not follow the will of the force he was a slave to the republic which is why he isn't a grey
Raz Taz i think your right, because sith uses anger and hate from the dark side. Plus into the heat of the moment, they always want to strike first.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb - Dark Helmet :)
true
Actually a very good statement. Good attracts more "go with the flow" types. Evil attracts people with much more motivation and competence. It is true in the real world as well.
hsatan20 yep! That’s why the nazis were defeated
do what if count dooku killed anakin in episode 3
Rage may fade quicker than love but hate runs just as deep
The growth of a sith is logistic in nature- swift in its ascent, yet limited. The growth of a jedi is more linear- extremely slow, yet constant
No?
Great video as always.
Thank you!
That always tickled my curiosity, especially when I saw kenobi and quigon jin get schooled by darth maul lol.
when and how did the Jedi and sith started to fight each other
Taylor Rewitzer sith were originally jedi but there was civil war creating the sith
My favourite Jedi apprentice is the high ground...
I loved the slide show that went along with this one!
My Favorite Sith Apprentice is Savage Oppress..
Jedi padwan: Ashoka tano
Sith aprentice: darthvader
It's also because the ranking systems are very different. It would be like mace windu being a padawan because he wasn't able to kill yoda
But jedi master that turns to the dark side with full knowledge of the light and than gains knowledge of the dark will be one hell of a sith lord
Zuriel hell yea mine too😁
Like Count Dooku?
I don't agree with this one, Dark side grants you more power, force choke, and lightning.
Jedi? huh, shit, a hope.

Respectable choices. They’re among my favorite apprentices as well. My favorites are Darth Maul and Ahsoka Tano

I wouldn't be a Jedi or sith I'd walk the fine line
Honestly Anakin is more powerful than any character dark or light side of the force he is also the best
Blizzard * Ahem cough Luke Skywalker cough cough
@@joeshmoe6908 no Like Skywalker may be powerful but At mad he is equal at absolute max
Now that's an ín-depth analysis, good work.
But according to Disney light side users can use the force instantly

Thats a different game, rey sue is a class on her own, it grands divine rank 0 as well on level one and has the prerequisite tio be the storytellers girlfriend. Also most tellingly its homebrew.
@@ioanniskleanthous4810 Rey is like the potential girlfriend of the D&D Dungeonmaster who gets awesome items and easy stuff and lucky rolls because the dungeonmaster is hitting on her but she's clueless and thinks she's just naturally good at the game and doesn't understand why everyone else stops coming by the dungeonmaster's house every friday night... And when she's the last one coming then the game is dead.
Favorite Sith apprentice: Darth Maul
Favorite Jedi apprentice: Obi-Wan Kenobi
As always Stu...great video!!! Young Maul was my favorite sith apprentice!!!
Question.....Do you think Luke has used Force Lighting, and against Snoke? That would be the reason for Snoke's scares and the reason Snoke fears Luke.
What if palpatine killed Vader and Luke on the second Death Star
he would have blown up with the deathstar
Cho0segoose if he made it off the Death Star like Luke did
Mister Moose HD What is Vader could live?
TeqHDcasper he already did an episode on that
Anakin is my favorite jedi apprentice that or Ahsoka my favorite sith is definitely Darth Vader although Darth Revan(is that how it's spelled? I've never seen it written down) is cool
Blizzard * Revan
@@chuckfinley4258 the I fixed it
Really it comes down to the fact that the Jedi seek to be peaceful and do not use The Force as a weapon, or they aren't supposed to anyway.
Fav sith apprentice, Darth Zannah
😭
Darth Sidious she was a sith apprentice in all the books
Siyovaxsh En-sipad-zid-ana I know but she is more known as a sith apprentice
There is no such a thing as "Sith master" it's straight away sith lord.
My favorite sith is Darth Bane so his apprentice is my favorite, Darth Zannah.
good video!
it seems that you have understanding of the philosophy of the force 😊
"Ahsoka Tano is my favourite padawan because she's badass and hot".
Fav Sith Apprentice: Maul
Not the most powerful but one of the most coolest and badasses.
Fav Jedi Apprentice: Obi-Wan.
The DUDE KILLED A SITH, as a young Jedi apprentice! Also the coolest character of the prequels, hands down.
nice analisis, as for your questions:
1) yes, i am okey with sith aprentices being so powerful, most of them were jedi before ever becoming siths so they have the training from both worlds, plus the fact they are so powerful helped give a sense of urgency to their defeat, for me the siths were the embodiment of the phrase "Quality over quantity" and, should they fight head on with the jedi order they would have been decimated, giving them the handicap of the Rule of Two not only made them become more clever and secretive, but it also made them far more interesting as villains since not every story has the villains starting on the struggling end.
2) my fav sith aprentice: Darth Tyranus (yes i'm a noob when it comes to the E.U, bite me lol)
Off topic here but I think there should be a Death troopers film made
@Drew Moeller I 100% agree!
Jedi apprentice : anikin skywalker
Sith apprentice: darth Vader .
Asajj Ventress and Ahsoka Tano.
We Agree 💯%!
Favorite Sith Apprentice : Maul
Favorite Jedi Apprentice : Qui Gon Jinn
He was a Jedi Master.
There's another reason. The presence of the lightside is diluted by the numerous jedi whereas the relatively few dark side users embodied by the 2 sith at any point and the odd witch means that the dark side concentrates and pools much more strongly in them. Balance
FreeGoro that was the theory bane created and supported but that’s not how it actually works
He’s tough and slaughtered almost all the mandolorians
There is also 1 on 1 training vs 1 training many. 1 on 1 training allows fine tunning down to every flaw. However 1 trainer training many allows flaws and hik ups to slip through in the beginning.
Believe it or not there is no dark & light side, only the Force.
The Dark & light side is just another word for good and bad.
Sgt Palooggoo is that actually true though?
Dylan Velasquez
Well they always say "The Force is strong with you."
They don't mention a side
Dylan Velasquez
I think it's true but that's just me
it’s racist
(Lol)
The dark side is literally magic steroids.
