very interesting thank you, i agree almost with everything you said, except when you say that we should all run with a fixed cadence of 180 spm.
It's true that you need at least 180 spm, but the optimal range goes up to almost 200 spm.
Look for example at Jacob Kiplimo (half marathon record holder) , kelvin Kiptum (third fastest marathon time ..), Haile Gebrselassie, and i could go on.. they all run or used to, with a very high cadence above 190-195 rpm...

How do you address the problem in order to maintain the cadence to keep up the pace for those who turn their legs over faster?
Does height affect optimal cadence?
Not qualified to answer, but leg length and center of gravity probably effect it a little
You skuld get longer strides but the same cadence, so essentially just faster. Thats how I look at it.
