Wow, I love your videos! You make things so simple and easy to follow! I wish you have a book or some training videos, I would buy it! I've been watching your videos a lot and its very confusing and overwhelming when you're new. I bought 2 books and its a lot of information... Thank you! If I ever do hit a big pick, I'll tip you!
Paul you the man.. a great handicapper
thank you
Ty for the info of finding Lone early speed.
Can you do another video on how to identify running styles?
im thinking of doing a handicapping series just trying to find the time
paul arnold would really appreciate it. Still new to handicapping. Going off brisnet running styles next to there names.
good stuff Paul. How exactly does a horse earn a heart? I'm not quite following your explanation at 4:22. Thanks
a heart means that a horse went faster at that point of call than any winner that day
I make a daily track profile every day an adjust the times of all the winners so I only compare time to other races on that day
just for the same distance of the race on that day or all races on that day? wondering because what if there's only one race at that distance that day. And what if the winner was a closer? He'd be going slower up front on purpose, what's the logic behind that?
building a track profile for a day t do sprint dirt , turf sprint. dirt route. turf route keep dirt an turf separate
sprint 7f an under. routes. 1mile an over
so I compare splits 5.5 f to 7.f not much difference at most tracks
routes I compare 1m - 11/8 not much difference
the 1st two calls r the most important to understanding racing
I don't worry about finish (if you care about finish Beyers an every other speed figure dress that)
if only 1 race was run that in a group I don't use it in a profile if 2 races were run I use profile with caution 3 races in a group I get a good idea
Key Paul may I ask where did you get the racing form from?
you can get forms from daily racing form. drf.com. or who u bet thru online. I go thru twinspirles.com
Would it be to much to request some good cappers?
discord.gg/Jn99Ge. discord horse racing chat. bunch of people playing an giving picks. also answers. questions. and a noob section
You actually bet that? 12/1 down to 4/1 = -EV.... That's a great horse if your in lockdown horse racing tournament but if your betting cash you gotta hit the DD or make a exacta out of that especially at 4/1.
yup you are assuming that that odds line is good. Handicappers make their own odds line looking for mistakes made by the public I had the horse at 2-1 lone speed , my highest marks there was also a scratch in the race making that odds line invalid. Remember the morning line is just one persons opinion on what he thinks the odds will be
I rarely bet speed
