Thank you so muck 3Axel for bringing your videos back 💖
@Ardenis9 Unfortunately, that was the American Commentators for you. They were often ridiculously biased, esp with Slutskaya. If you weren't Michelle Kwan, or Sasha Cohen or Sarah Hughes, they were very harsh and compared everything to their own, it made me want to throw things at them. Slutskaya isn't Kwan, she shouldn't be expected to skate like Kwan.
❤💐🥰
These commentators are horrible
Слуцкая не гармонична !!!
Telegraphed entrance into the flip? How? it was 1 foot choreography. Usually she does telegraph but that was better
I have never seen it and it's amazing looking on her
Peggy Fleming is ridiculous with commentating and criticizing on her spirals on every performance. I mean Yuna Kim's turned in foot on her spiral irritated me more, yet no one said anything cus she's YUNA KIM. This performance was great!
They, especially Dick, did criticize Yuna’s spirals and layback
They’re just saying the truth. The extension really wasn’t good & is letting everyone watching the difference between good & bad spirals.
Dick Button used his very last breath as a commentator to pan Yuna's spiral.
@@crazyasianman07 Actually the most relevant thing about a spiral is deepness of edge, not extension or amplitude. That is why Irina got very good marks in spirals in the COP.
@Dylvente She tried to improve her artisitry, but she was at her best when she accentuated her natural energy and speed and athleticism. I never liked the ABC commentators, when it came to Irina, they were always complaining and comparing her to Kwan and talking about her weaknesses
That’s what they were doing with every non-American skater who could be a potential contender.
2000 WC in Nice, ladies short. Butyrskaya skates a program of a century, especially artistry-wise. What do the American commentators focus on? “The spiral not as good as either Kwan’s or Sarah’s”. “Neither is that laid-back spin”. Lol a huge lol
@ChristineTheHippie Good points.
I agree. A beautiful dress. I just wish I could say the same about her program. All those poorly coordinated, overdone arm movements are just painful to watch.
The "choreography" is hideous. Who designed it?
Why did Uncle Dick called Biellmanns "catch-foots"?
It's beautiful music, but I just think she was trying too hard to convey the drama of it, resulting in a lot of awkward and unnecessary arm movements. Still a great overall skater.
It is clear she has never seen the Opera Tosca as she misinterprets the character of it. Michele Kwan's Tosca which some rave about I think it is also overrated. Totally different interpretation to this, but it also does not properly interpret the character of that Opera. I am trying hard to think of someone who successfully did though. Yagudin in 2000 was probably the closest I can think of for now.
