the only character that made me beat a game 10 times dedicated just to her and her content, after analyzing everything I can say with certainty that the best ending for her is with her parents alive and being the player's romance

Ever since they added the hug to her post personal quest camp scene it's just so wholesome, and she's indeed way more happy on this route.

@@anonimos5533 That is also an amazing series. Haven't played Veilguard so don't have much an of opinion on that one but recommend the rest of the franchise. Origins is the most like BG3 and was likely a great inspiration to Larian. DA2 is more action oriented but still retains most of the tactical aspect of Origins. The worst part about it is that because it was developed in less than a year, you are very limited in terms of exploration, with only a few areas for the entirety of the game. Still, the characters, story and writing are excellent in my opinion. DAI is firmly an open-world action-rpg, gone are the tactical aspects of DAO. Quest design suffers greatly due to the open-world nature sadly and that's easily the worst part of the game. Thankfully, the main story quests and companion quests are still good. Other than that, the story, writing and characters are all is still great, especially including the Trespasser DLC, which is a must play after finishing the main story.

Dunno, I kinda like her "dominate the brain" ending. It's definitely less depressing than the Dark Justiciar ending.

Indeed, weirdly enough, I just can't see her dedicating her life to the source of her trauma since childhood, it's just too sad and cruel for her, at least with this she'll be free from Shar's torment even though we'll never know how Shadowheart as a goddess will look like, but I know that she's better than Shar that's for sure XD

A lot of the "bad endings" in BG3 are basically "the cycle of abuse continues". :/ It's most evident with Astarion's ending if you choose to Ascend him, and also if Shadowheart chooses to remain loyal to Shar. In Shadowheart's case, she literally gets to witness her own future in Viconia's demise; she, too, was somebody who devoted her entire life to Shar, chose Shar's path time and again over things like love or companionship. (It's hinted that at some point between BG2 and BG3, Viconia surrendered most of her memories to the Mirror of Loss, which might explain why her behaviour is so different from the person she was in BG2.) Viconia gave EVERYTHING to the Nightsinger, and ultimately Shar just cast her aside once she was of no more use to her. This fate awaits Shadowheart as well, but she is either blinded by the promise that "she is different" (a tune sung by many abusers), or she has just been beaten down so much that she sees no other choice but to obey. Who else but Shar would ever accept her after all the things she's done?

In my opinion the greatest middle finger we can give for Shar is sparing her parents while romancing her. She overcomes her fear of wolves, learns to swim and despite the wound remaining she will be happy with her loved ones, which is everything Shar despises. In that epilogue she also mentions that the wound flares less and less often as well, and I'd like to think that Warding Bond should also help to ease the pain caused by the wound.

Yes, reuniting her with her parents is still the greater good than sacrificing her parents to be free of Shar's curse, her love for her parents beat that Shar's curse on her hand, and her deepest desire is always to be WHOLE, so living with her loved ones after all the pain and suffering caused by Shar is always the best thing to happen to her, and according to Shadowheart's writer, once she's eventually passing by old age, her soul will be taken by Selune anyway despite the curse in her hand, it'll take a long time for the 3 of them to reunite in the afterlife, but eventually they will, and that makes me feel relieved just knowing about it.

Shadowheart sacrificing her parents is also exactly what Shar wants. She would be free of the curse, yes, but she would live the rest of her life always mourning and wondering about what she lost, and might have been. In short, Shadowheart would become a walking example of Shar's doctrine, that only in loss can you be free of pain. That's why, even though I do have my misgivings about what plots Shar will cook up in the future, imo the right choice is to free her parents.

@@Zaxares Vigilance is necessary. But then I also think resist Durge is the best ship for her and that makes two of us. Also the Owlbear will make short work of those who seek trouble around the farm :D
Also Jaheira's reaction sums it up pretty well: "Shar thinks us so afraid of pain that we would empty our lives just to get rid of it. I will admit a petty pleasure in Shadowheart proving the goddess a lackwit"

The “bad ending” one I have no clue, the “good path” clothing is the elegant robe and can be found in a few places but I always grab it from the Szarr Palace (coordinates x: -1241 y:982)
If your referring to everyone else I’m not sure the only one I recognize is the elegant robe
