  • This boat is not only incredibly beautiful, it is also built out of natural and recycled materials such as Flax Fibres, recycled PET bottles and plant-based Epoxy!
This video shows the very first images of the FLAX27 during tests with the Magazin "Yacht" on 11 September 2019 on the Schlei close to Schleswig, Germany.
Design by judel/ vrolijk & co, built by GREENBOATS (Handcrafted)

The boat is beautiful like furniture but it makes my Morgan 28 back in the 1970s seem like it was a superyacht down below with headroom, galley, head, table sitting areas and bunks.

I put a reef in on my wanderer dinghy on everyone else’s behalf. It’s driving us mad!

Yea, my Soling is a day sailor, but I've passed out on her several times, so does that make her a cruiser?

Keel the mast and headsails. The normal basics of sailing is stem to stern keel line ahead of the sails. This will turn heeling into more speed and less heeling.

I’m not sure I understand but think I agree. This was a good breeze but she looks a bit over-canvased and a little weather helm. Maybe a slightly narrower main (shorter foot) and jib would bring the center of pressure down and forward? Not to take away from this beautiful boat and she looks awesome off the wind. Absolutely gorgeous workmanship and finish!

Boat beautiful, but presentation video annoyig with cuts and awful music!

Rich people’s toy. Impressive but only as a technical/technique demonstration. Even in these light winds you can clearly see the boat is being over-powered by her sail area. And it looks like only one reef point in the main.... Must be a real handful in anything beyond a light breeze.

I would rather have a demonstrator video, that was just flash and tat nothing to make me want to follow up and get a better look. If anything just makes me want to walk past your stands at the boat shows. On another note she looks short on ballast. And the lifting system looks slow clumsy.and badly positioned for single handed sailing..
