Okay, you got me with this block! I've resisted buying this kit because, 1. I don't need it, 2. I don't have room for it, 3. What will I do with it when I die, 4. I probably don't have time (without sacrificing housework, cooking, etc) to complete it! But, it is SO DANG CUTE....happy mothers day to ME! Got it and hopefully will get it done before the 4th of July!!! Can you guess... no cooking or cleaning will be done at my house between now and then!
Thank you, Becky, for demonstrating a double hooping. I have a Janome 350E that has a 5x7 hoop. It's become increasingly frustrating since the more expensive machines have larger hoops and the digitizers are digitizing larger designs. I finally bit the bullet and bought a Babylock Flourish II and can't wait to make all kinds of pretty things with it!
I have learned so much from watching your videos step by step. I have all my bags ready to go, but I’ve been watching you progress through the blocks first while I finish up alterations for customers. Then, let the fun begin! This has been way more helpful than any class I have taken at stores for my Babylock Valiant. Thank you for all you do for us.💕
I don’t own an embroidery machine nor do I want to but I’m addicted to watching your videos/tutorials. I really enjoy them. Thank you for the time you take to share.
Hi Becky even though I am not doing this project I have watched every one and learn something new each time. Today there were at least 2-one being using your new thread thru by attaching it to your old thread which save rethreading each time you have a color change and helps thread settle into the tension disks. Showing how to find your designs on the computer (I'm hopelessly computer helpless-I just don't get it and don't remember from one time to the next how to do it) and last the tips for marking your fabrics to place them in the hoop. Also I am disappointed in the back of my embroidery being so messy even after I've spent an hour cleaning it up so I'm glad that you showed that on yours when you flipped it over to do something from the back. It doesn't matter if you're putting something on the back but on something like a towel where you won't be enclosing it it looks terrible. On something for my 5 yr old great granddaughter it doesn't matter because she would be thrilled to receive anything that I had made for her but it is such poor quality that I would be embarrassed to give it to an adult. Again Thank You for doing these videos and helping so many of us out.
Two thumbs up. I have a Bernina machine and was hesitant to do the 5x7 size thinking it too small. The double hooping and the thumbtacks tip I will use. I very much appreciate your complete video of this block.
This is really cute. I think I will wait awhile on this block since I'm still in learning mode. Getting ready to do my third different block this week. It will be the Freedom block. I love that one--it's so patriotic! Love your tips! Have a wonderful day! Diane
The multiple hooping is so interesting; I have never done that! You have really inspired me to try new things on my emb. machine. I am taking John Deer digitizing lessons online, so soon I hope to be doing some of that!
When I made the Main Street Celebration bench pillow I had to double hoop almost every block. I didn’t use the thumb tacks, I just matched up the two sets of markings by eye and they came out fine!
Thanks for the great demo. I did notice when you were using the seam ripper you placed the steel blade inside the seam. I was taught that the ball part was supposed to go inside to prevent the steel blade cutting the item. It can also be used after the thread is pulled out to gently smooth down the displaced threads and small hole caused by the sewing needle. What’s your thought please?
I guess we were taught opposite ways. I've never ripped into the fabric with the blade in the position I use. As long as the red tip is angled down, then the curvature of the slicing part of the blade (in the U shape) is angled away from the fabric and toward the thread line. Glad you enjoy the same method! Smart stitcher!
Thank you for a great video for those of us who still suffer from "hoop envy". Would you please post the link for the USB gadget you use on Spanky? I am off to "sew something".
It's part of the Red, White, and Bloom wall hanging from Kimberbell. It will go into the quilt top and there are little lights that will go into the bodies and light up!
I just went to one of your more recent video to tell you TO HAVE A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉💐💐💐💐 I don't mean to bother you but are the other color usb sticks almost here?
I just successfully finished this piece with total help from your video and the 5x7 hoop. Would it work with the 5x12 repositioning hoop? That way you don’t have to remove it from the hoop after the first section? Just move the hoop itself?
You’re videos are great! I just finished the top last night with your help 🎉 now on to borders and binding. It’s not perfect but it came out fantastic! Thanks for the specific i frictions for the firefly hat for 5x7 hoops!
So cute
I love watching your RW&B videos every day.
Thank you so much 😀 You're the best Ellen!
Great tip for stitch removal with the beautiful seam ripper.
That is a wonderful tutorial on how to do a double hooping!
Another great video...... also love the peek at the new room! Looks great.
Thanks so much!
Thank You so much for taking the time to show how each block is done. I'm new to the Embroidery by machine and your videos have helped me so much.
You are so welcome!
The people at Kimberbell are so incredibly clever!! I love this block - it and the jar of flowers are my favorites.
A different view of your studio! Wow! It’s just incredible!!
Thanks so much! It's a DREAM to "work" here every day!
Another cute one!

You will love that machine! Congratulations!
Hi Becky! Just saw on the news that Texas is getting tornadoes again. Thinking of you guys. Please stay safe.
So cute! Thank you for sharing, Becky!

PS-when the guy at the Apple store said "it's so easy, it's intuitive" I almost went for his throat.
I just love your videos. This one is so helpful for the Red White and Bloom. Thank you Becky ❤️🧵
These are absolutely adorable. I could watch you make all the blocks all day. Lol

Glad I could help! Embroiderers like you are exactly why I did this! So glad you can join in!
I love your step by step videos!!!

Great view of you your room
Good to see you in the flesh today!!!! “🎶🎶I saw her face.... now I’m a believer...🎶🎶🎶”
I must catch up with everyone and quit working on work jobs!
Oh my goodness! You're a riot! 😅💖
@@PowerToolsWithThread Marilyn M - great song reference!! Cracked me up!
When I made the Main Street Celebration bench pillow I had to double hoop almost every block. I didn’t use the thumb tacks, I just matched up the two sets of markings by eye and they came out fine!
Thank you Becky. It looks so easy, now I just need to get up the courage to try downloading the cd again and see if I can do it.

Do you sell replace parts for the seam ripper? The tip of my seam ripper broke off when it fell to the floor?
Yes, there are replacement ends available on the store site. powertoolswiththreadstore.com Click shop and you'll find them.
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you! Already purchased it!
Those look like old fashion thumb tacks.
Yep! That's exactly what they are!
Thank you for a great video for those of us who still suffer from "hoop envy". Would you please post the link for the USB gadget you use on Spanky? I am off to "sew something".
Great videos Becky! What stabilizer are you using in your hoop?
The pattern calls for a cut away poly mesh.
I am way behind on this, but can you advise what to do with background quilting on this block.
I so want to make this love 💘the videos how can I order in a couple months
I love how easy you made this look, thank you. So what do you do with the block now?
It's part of the Red, White, and Bloom wall hanging from Kimberbell. It will go into the quilt top and there are little lights that will go into the bodies and light up!
Thank you. I found sites now that show me the whole wall hanging, sooo cute.
Where can you order the seam rippers???? I looked on your website and could not find anything about them. Thanks! And a thanks for the thumb tack tip!
We have them at powertoolswiththreadstore.com Thanks for the thought - I need to link to the store on my blog's home page.
Love the size of the handle of the seam ripper. Large enough to not turn in the hand. Question....why the Mylar when it is covered with the stitches?
Make em sparkle!
The wings are not truly a solid fill. They are stitched with little "windows" that allow the mylar sparkles to twinkle through.😃
