i watched this entire thing expecting a joke. But then I realized it wasn't hugbees. I just spent 15 minutes learning about how you actually make chocolate.
Different seasons and regions have different narrators. This channel usually has the Canadian versions, which are actually the original of any given episode. But I usually prefer the US version with Brooks Moore narrating. I still remember how disappointed I was when he left for a few seasons back around 2010.
I have this friend I go to church with. I've known him ever since I was 15 years old. I'm now 27 years old. When this friend of mine was talking to my cousin, he said, "I'll tell you what. Why don't I buy a huge chocolate bar so we could both eat it together?" Since this friend of mine is married now, I would love to buy him that huge chocolate bar so he could share it with his wife.
Are the nibs roasted before or after shelling? The video didn't align with what was being said. Just asking. I thought they were roasted before shelling
The people who grow and harvest cacao pods generally can't afford and don't eat finished chocolate. Unless curious journalists give them some for reactions.

YOohoo has been made since 1920. Not the 70's. I'm 70 and have been drinking it since childhood! I am currently working on a sugar free version since there is no such thingb9n the market.
It is, unfortunately. Notice how most of the people doing the manual labor were people of color? That's because the beans grow best in countries from Latin America, where corporations from rich countries take advantage of the poor labor regulations in LA countries to essentially enslave the rural villages that grow the beans. Recently they found that Hershey's in particular used children in many of their plantations. Most luxury items rich countries enjoy are unfortunately made like this, such unimaginable labor... and yet it's very uncommon for them to even know who made those items or where they came from.

Why did you think this was a joke
@@BringBackCyParkVendingMachinesbecause hugbees (the channel OP mentioned) makes parody how it's made videos.
That's why I came to comments. To see if this was a joke

It's just not the same anymore that old narrator really made it what it was
Watch the original how it’s made chocolate from the science channel
IKR huggbees is the best!
You guys should bring back the original voice over like from the show
Yeah
Yeah it's just not the same anymore without that deep voice
The original how it’s made chocolate does have it

You can make it a simpler and quicker process, but the result will be crumbly, uneven, and have off-flavours.

How much is actually made from the beans and how much is from added butter, milk powder and sugar?

The video is good but the voice over is trash. Why does he have to talk like he's a news anchor? Bring back the original voiceover.
