Please, no more 'Mozart Black'. Joseph Boulogne influenced Mozart and he should be judged by his own merits as a great composer. Neither 'black' a racist term based on a social construct, nor Mozart apply. Both terms are diminishing and insulting. Just call him by his name, Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, as you would call other greats such as Beethoven.
Except that he is not anywhere near as great as Mozart or Beethoven, although certainly very, very good. He literally was black, so bizarre to say that's a racist term, and overall, calling him the black Mozart only does him honour.

No wonder people had been and are presently jealous of him & his accomplishments. Attempts to diminish the man and his work are damned to failure.
This concerts are not earlier than 1770 or 1771. At that time Mozart was composing, for example, the infinitely superior Symphony No 13 K.112, was only fifteen and of course sufficiently intelligent to learn from everybody... Boulogne and early Mozart sound similar: of course, same time. Influences on Mozart? dozens I suppose, he travelled all around Europe: Mannheim, London, Italy, Paris... Bologne was a talented musician, Mozart was a genius.
Since his music was been destroyed, I think he Mozart made a vow to Saint George that he would make sure history won’t forget him and made adjustments to pass the music off as his ( Mozart).
Actually, his music is very, very well preserved. Within the bounds of those times, he was also extremely successful and respected, in fact fawned upon.
The story has been told that Mozart was quite jealous and quite extroverted about it. Mr. Chevalier's playing was far more superior than Mozart's. I don't understand why he is taught about along side Mozart? Damn shame
@@YNGVIRTUOSOVIOLIST err.. Mozart was primarily a keyboard player (the modern piano did not exist back then), Boulogne was a violinist. So where exactly is this "superiority" coming from? And no, musically he's not within lightyears of Mozart's genius.
