Good guide and learnt a lot even though had played early test once on it earlier. Indeed Chill and frost weapons blesses suspect. Idol of beasts also efficient on Regen and get SR or even fire. I found main problem early was sacreds barely scratched but they got conditions. Whilst unaging OK it does not get Jarnvidja young enough for recuperation. I went Monolith imprisoned with unbreakable, unaging, +2AS (compliments thug and unit sacred strength), LLV and MS for those frozen passes (morale alternative).
Giants do tend to rack up afflictions. Guess there is a reason that they tend to not let them get healer units. Recuperation is also primo for them. I wish front weapons were better. I think I will probably give it a go, just to show them off, but /sad. :(
I like recruiting some Jotun scouts early on to help with expansion, sad to see they lost sacred status from dom5->dom6 though. Still, getting them to throw some javelins and then run into melee can help.
We searched the world with an A2, there cant be that many >2 sites. Just got unlucky. :( Fair point though, we could at least invest in hitting the high value territories with a seach.
@BabelBuilder in my current game I casted 6 Aspexs I got 1 site with 2 Air and one with 1 Air and 1 water. And I believe that is worth it with just 12 Air gems.

In ea at least (haven't tried him in ma) the Son of Fenrir is definitely enough to expand at baseline (remember that his spawned wolves also cause fear). Obviously not against barbarians and against provinces with particularly high numbers you wait until enchantment 2.
@@BabelBuilder Did some quick tests. This reminds me that I need to play different nations more. I don't think the vaettir were a thing the last time I touched a jotun nation. I've heard consistently good things about the giant-goblin combo though.
Man looking at the thumbnail, this is one messed up family tree they got going on here lol. In all seriousness though, Jotunheim has never been a bad nation. Even in LA, Utgard is still a good nation to play, even if the loss of the Gyjas to Vaettiheim means the turbo communions are dead. In MA thou? Turbo spam skeleingtons all day and night long lol. I must be doing something wrong because I always get terrible attrition when using Ulfhedin. Anytime ive used them, I've been sorely disappointed. Some notes -Abductors eagle form has 4A and no inept smith so can forge air helm natively or cast raven feast -If you are greedy enough, D gems are excellent for twiceborning Jardvinia, Niefel jarls, skratti . -In a emergency D gems also are great for raising longdead with d1 vaetti since you get 15hp armored Giant longdead -You can also try just ignoring the expensive sacreds and go full scales since Jotun loves spending $$$. Growth and order 2/3 sets you up for blood late game too.
Really nice notes there, thanks. I think you do need to be a tad careful with Ulfhedin, like getting some charge soaking chaff, but otherwise, I have had good luck with them. Length 4 repels and regen/second form are pretty nice.
In my totally real and not backseat gaming knowledge, I'm thinking something in the line of regen and ditch the miss weapon because you said it yourself that it's a meh weapon bless, if you can, add either magic leadership (because i don't know if that little ice gobo is consider to be a magical being) or magic weapon (because we know that babel gonna regret not picking magic weapon in a fight)
I want to at least show mist weapons off once. Who knows maybe Illwinter will watch and agree that they need buffing. Vampiric weapons just got a major buff, so it could happen! I am taking this one for the team! The Rimvaettir are not magic being somehow. Regen+Magic weapon would be a fine bless otherwise.
@@qaz120120 To the right of the map are a bunch of province stats: population, income, resources etc. One of the stats is corpses (maybe unburied corpses). @perryshaffer8358 is correct. The ability to see corpses is not a default thing. There are a few craft able wolf pelts, but nothing that is nation specific. Man an armor that gave you second shape would be really powerful.
For the live stream having one fire/heat nation and one air/shock nation as opponents would be interesting.
I'll try to remember!
