Hahaha, no joke this is the exact same reason I finally caved and bought the 5e players handbook - the first half dozen or so of my DnD videos were actually coming from a Pathfinder 1 perspective
You know, I think I started watching your channel at around that time, and I recall being impressed how you were talking 5e - but everything you were saying was general enough to be applicable to my Dark Heresy games!
Rather well done. Personally this is how I approached 5e overall. I did eventually delve into the rules proper (I mainly would highlight part 2 of the PHB is really helpful to get into some of the nuance of the system). If you've got a player-centric question, short of spells you may very well have a solution there on something you'd like to know some more on.
Dude thank you so much for pointing that out. I bought all the books but due to several chronic illnesses, it can definitely be difficult to focus! Knowing what to book mark n read before hand will be awesome 👏🏽 😊 👍🏽 Edit: Now that I seen the whole video, honestly it wasn’t all that helpful at all, what pages would you recommend 😅
Before I hear anything 1 combat 2 stats and when to use them 3 how to make your character 4 ...Ideally more than this but you may be able to get away with this for now if you really want to learn on the fly 5 talk to your DM so you know how things work at your table. The rules for magic items in 5e are actually pretty cool but if he won't let you craft your own maybe don't disappoint yourself... also whatever is relevant at your table is relevant...

Everyone should read chapters 7, 8, 9, and 10 first. Long before anything in the front and back of the book.
