    It's funny a working class man without a ticket is a fare evader but a middle class man is just making a mistake. Funny how he accidentally bought a cheaper ticket not a more 3xpensive one.

      @zitzong Год назад

      A middle class man is a whole class above the working man so he will be treated better, therefore when he does not have a ticket he simply 'makes a mistake'.

      Big black dingus Free da guys they don’t do it as much nowadays because of the money the government has cut down on staff on London Underground and also the inspectors have to be more careful and they can’t touch you nowadays like they used to before

      Big black dingus Free da guys not now no they could be done for assaulting passengers and it’s taken really seriously now, before inspectors would have people on the floor for trying to run away

    I also checked a lot of customers tickets when I was working on the gateline for London underground. Also worked on the bluebell railway at East Grinstead checking customers tickets and advising them to queue up for tickets as well as printed tickets from Sheffield Park (Sussex)

    When I worked on the construction of Cross Rail, I used the Tube from West Ham to travel to work and a combination of Tube and DLR to get home. Paying for the journeys with an Oyster card, while apartment hunting, I'd sometimes get off at a different station and forget to scan out This was easy to do as DLR ticket machines are placed in different locations from station to station. The lady at Liverpool St. station ticket office got to know me, as I would then have to report the missed scan out or be charged to the end of the line.

    As long as customers listen to our advice not to get aggressive. We must act responsibly to passengers and in case customers said they had tickets incase they don't they need to purchase one or penalty fares. No matter what customers think of our services

    Now I work at London transport museum checking customers purchased annual tickets with ID shown. I also work at Epping ongar railway for station duties at north weald which is a former LU central line branch closed 1994. At least I had the experience over 8 years ago obeying signals, checking passengers tickets and advising them to stand back when train approaches or departs.

      Mid October 1995 to probably sometime in November that same year. The episode mentions the final score of QPR 2 Newcastle 3 which took place on 14th October 1995. The programme itself was broadcast sometime in early 1996 since I remember it well

    • @NoddyMaccy
      @NoddyMaccy Год назад +6

      They have scanners that read Oyster/Debit cards so they can see whether you’ve touched in and paid for your journey.

      @@NoddyMaccy What if my oyster card failled at touch in?

    • @NoddyMaccy
      @NoddyMaccy Год назад

      @@wits3392 If it failed during touch in you shouldn’t be able to enter the network. If the card failed during your journey you’d have to dispute that with revenue and through your card number, they’d be able to access the cards journey history and see your card failed during your journey, which you’d then win your appeal.
