@@NK-rm7kcthe isle of man TT is definitely crazier, even the tiniest mosquito sized mistake can be death in an instant, and those guys tackle it on motorcycles at easily 200kmh. The only thing thats safer about it is the fact that they actually know where theyre going, which rally drivers dont particularly know that well.

Yeah rally is crazy, in one section I didn't stop sliding for the whole 25kms😮😮low traction surface, my female navigator couldn't believe it, can't believe she doesn't get sick, with her head down trying to read the whole time and without being able to know exactly which way the car will move next. I could still feel the adrenaline 3 weeks later 😅😅 after that section. That was in Queensland Australia 🌏

The suspension on those cars are marvels of engineering. Look at number 3 and see how easily it deals with dampens those bumps while dealing with directional changes all while being smooth as silk. Or the way its able to absorb all the punishment from the big jumps.
I used to work at an auto auction. There is no car with perfect suspension it's what your willing to settle for. I drove cars from. I drove everything, you name. Crown Victoria police package no soft suspension. Bentley Continental isn't nearly as smooth. But its not built exiting a corner at speed like rally cars.😂
I was going to say the same thing , I could only imagine with a suspension set up like that on a regular car you could probably pass down a that car to your grandkids
The crazy part is they don't have a lot of droop in the suspension to compress when it lands . The variable valves are amazing at how they can help keep the car under control

yeah because so many drivers have died over the years in f1. f1 is constantly at 100% speed right on the edge of performance. in rally the drivers have the ability to leave atleast some margin for error while they race because its not wheel to wheel.

Rally is insane and these cars have relatively low power (supposed to be around 350 hp) Group B rally racing was just plain bonkers with 500+ horsepower cars going 120mph within inches of fans. The old footage of Group B with hundreds of spectators standing on the track until the last possible second is incredible, its a sea of bodies parting in front of a car going 100+ mph. The real surprising thing is how few fatalities there were.
People call f1 as the pinnacle of motorsports, and while they are insanely skilled, these guys are even more skilled. You have to be able to make quick saves, drift, jump (without destroying your car), use racing lines, and be able to drive in tough conditions. They are just built different
I had an experience that was really like when I was working. I was on my way to work and I was drifting on the logging road when I came up on an s turn. Midway thru the turn I passed a motorist drifting as well. We only had time to acknowledge each other with a nod as we barely made it by each other with inches to spare. 😊
Numbers one and three - you can just see how important the correct suspension settings are in these cars. Amazing engineering. These drivers commit to there task like no other drivers in the world of Motorsport. I agree with others who believe they have to be considered to be the best drivers in the world 👍🇦🇺

Driving on tarmac results in fairly similar traction all over. Driving WRC on snowy, icy roads, the traction is constantly changing, very very tricky
