My mother died the week before I found out I was FINALLY pregnant, and we weren’t going to find out, boy/girl. BUT. I kept having dreams of my mother passing my wife’s mother a baby in a pink blanket. Our daughter was born right after my mother’s birthday.
I love those stories! My brother & sister in law had a similar story when they were expecting their second child. When she was pregnant with him the name Daniel was suggested to her by I think a family member. She hated it & my whole side of the family hated the name. Then like 2 other people (not related to her or us) suggested the name Daniel. She still didn’t want the name. Finally my brother was mowing their lawn one day & he almost rolled over this wooden plank. He picked it up & turned it over & low & behold it had the name Daniel on it. So we all said, ok God that’s his name. And now he’s 4 almost 5 & I can’t imagine him being named any other name. ❤️

Precious name! Our little girl's name is Amelia Louise. She was born on January 4th this year! When we were driving to my husband's grandmother's house for her birthday party, I had this vision of picking her up in our kitchen and saying "This is my daughter, Amelia." So I told my husband a few days later and the name stuck! We get Louise from my grandmother because that was her middle name - Helen Louise. It wasn't till later that we also found out my husband's great-grandmother's first name was also Louise! I cannot wait for y'all to introduce your little one to this world! You guys should watch the movie Splash. The mermaid in it is trying to pick a name and she chooses Madison from a street sign. Before this Madison was unheard of a a first name for girls, but the movie was very popular and people started naming baby girls Madison.

I just wanted to say thank you to you guys for your videos. I'm a new signer who just started learning sign last August and this past fall began attending Gallaudet university and your guys' videos have helped a lot because I am obviously still learning sign and there isn't much asl content on youtube and in particular deaf vloggers to keep that content interesting and learning and having fun at the same time. But I also wanna say thank you for starting to use your voice. Because I know that I will definitely get some backfire for this comment but as a hearing person still in the learning stages of sign I struggle with receptivity as many do, and it helps me develop my receptivity skills because you sign at deaf speed essentially and it's hard to pick it up and focus on the subtitles at the same time and develop those receptivity skills, so thank you. It has helped me pick up vocabulary also as its difficult to find synonyms for sign definitions which you have obviously developed and further move on with my asl skills. Lastly, I love the name MJ so I think Maddison is a great name and there are so many nicknames that you can really play with it loads. *Hugs* Dani

Just one night I said to my husband "....what do you think of Elizabeth for a girl and Jack for a boy?" and he said "yeah, I like it". A 15 minute discussion one night. And years later, that's what I named my kids. Never wavered.

Dad's sister comes to visit, "If it's a boy you should name him Jonathan." Mom's SIL calls another day, "What names did you pick out? I keep thinking about the name Jonathan." Mom ends up with and emergency C-section at 7.5 months, the nurse that came to get my dad in the waiting room says, "Your wife had a boy. Did you pick a name yet? When we were cleaning him up all I could think of was Jonathan" My dad said the same thing to my mom when he saw her, "Ok! You win!"
I don't believe in God and think your stories were coincidences but I love the way you feel like God has spoken to you. Sometimes I wish I believed in God so I could live moments like this. Good luck with the delivery. I hope everything goes well and you and Madison recover quickly
I just wanted to share a story I think you both will like. My husband and I had a baby girl almost 1 year ago and we also had the gender sealed in an envelope and neither my husband or I knew. A month before the gender reveal party my brother in law had a visit in his sleep from my husbands birth father who passed many years ago. He spoke (and I quote) "Tell Jen (he never even met me) and Joe that things are about to get tough but soon they will find joy. Please take care of that baby girl." Two weeks later my husbands uncle suddenly passed, then my aunt passed from cancer less than 24 hours after that. Fast forward two weeks and we found out we were having a girl :) Our daughter, Eleanor, really is the best thing in our lives. Enjoy the journey and enjoy parenting! I believe that God was sending you signals.

I liked a different name than my husband for our daughter. I was stubborn and called her the name I liked, but it just didn't feel right. Then one day I accidentally called her by the name my husband liked, and it felt so right. And I was like, no! I want this other name, but then I loved it too. =) I'm so excited for you guys.
When i named my son i was so set on it being just Christopher. Not chris not C not cj ( hes a jr) it was to be Christopher. 10 years later i call him cc cj Michael (his middle name) thing 2 (i have three boys with all names starting with c) and hes been called cj for so ling that he didnt no how to properly spell Christopher until this year. In his school photos last year he spelt his name wrong and it was the funniest thing ever! With that said I think you should call her what ever feels right to you. Throughout her entire life shes gonna have so many different nicknames some may not even pertain to her actual name just do what you think is right and thats all that matters!.❤

I liked a different name than my husband for our daughter. I was stubborn and called her the name I liked, but it just didn't feel right. Then one day I accidentally called her by the name my husband liked, and it felt so right. And I was like, no! I want this other name, but then I loved it too. =) I'm so excited for you guys.

When i named my son i was so set on it being just Christopher. Not chris not C not cj ( hes a jr) it was to be Christopher. 10 years later i call him cc cj Michael (his middle name) thing 2 (i have three boys with all names starting with c) and hes been called cj for so ling that he didnt no how to properly spell Christopher until this year. In his school photos last year he spelt his name wrong and it was the funniest thing ever! With that said I think you should call her what ever feels right to you. Throughout her entire life shes gonna have so many different nicknames some may not even pertain to her actual name just do what you think is right and thats all that matters!.❤
