  • Hi guys ! You may remember that we talked about battery management systems to be used with li ion batteries in a previous video. When creating a battery pack using lithium batteries, a suitable battery management system or a BMS module must be used. . So today we will talk about a BMS module which is operated by bm3451 single controlling ic in this video.
    --Description--
    1. This protection board is 3s 4s 5s in common use LiFePo battery protection board
    2. specific chip, stable performance, support disconnect protection, over-current protection, over-current protection, overload protection, with balancing, etc.
    3. Common use for "same port" and "different port", the protection board uses 15 ultra-low resistance high-power MOS tubes (discharge of 8, recharge of 7), in the same port mode can support the current of discharge 60A, recharge current 60A;
    4. Can be used for LiFePo batteries, battery packs etc.

    Single cell battery overcharge protect recovery voltage: 3.5-3.6V
    Overload protect delay: 1.5-2.5S
    Single cell battery over discharge protect voltage: 2.27-2.43V

    very good explanation. I personally use this board but i didn't know for a trick vith additional soldering off board conductor's for adding conductivity. nice touch. made a few dozen battery packs and never had any issues with this bms. 👍

    I bought a 5s bms and applied it to 21 volts. It was charged but the LED on it was supposed to light up. It didn't light up. I would appreciate it if you could give me some information.     Hello, I was looking for information on what those LED lights mean.
    As I understood - LED lights enabled when balancing for that cell is happening. Somewhere near the end of charging.
    It is indicator that balancing for this cell is happening (additional current flows over that balancing cable)

    I tried to change my 5s bms to 4s.
    But I don't have 0ohm resister. Then, Is it okay to solder Directly without 0 ohm resister?

    hello. i bought a similar BMS circuit using 4 lifepo4 cells to make a battery for my motorbike, but it has a problem that the led and lcd screen will be flicker like unstable voltage.
    I don't know how to describe it but if I connect a led buld into battery, the light will be very bright and stable, but when I install the battery in the motorbike, the led bulb on the motorbike will flicker a little, the screen brightness is flickering aswell.
    can you help please

    Very nice job. Thank you..I have a question. I want to design batteries for a motorcycle, knowing that the main battery is 13 volts and 13 amps. And while the engine is running, the charge is 14.8 volts..Do you recommend using BMS .3s.and BMS .4s Which is better for a project knowing that I have bought both and thanks in advance ❤

      as a cheep bms this one is good
      For your project. But if you can spen more money buy smart BMS. Then you can monitor battery status wirelessly

      This BMS work as 3s ,4s and also 5s . you have to change jumpers and resistors to setup the modes .

    Всём доброго дня , ребята вопрос такой , смонтировал bms 3S 100A на пакет 18650 , пакет заряжен 12.4 , а на выходе 10В , на выходах балансировок почти ничего нет , проверил другие 2 платы , такой же эффект , что с ними не так ? (До этого собрал 4 пакета , всё работает) , заранее спасибо !!!

    මම 3s pack එකක් හදල ඕකක් දාල තියනව. හැබැයි රතු led පත්තුවුනාම 12.6v වලට පැක් එක එනව..ඒත් මුලු දවසම කරන්ට් එකට ගහල තිබ්බත් ඒ led off වෙන්නේ නම් නැ. Power disconnect කලාමනම් ටිකකින් off වෙනව led

      ඔයා bms එකට දෙන charging voltage එක වැඩි ඇති . මේකෙ මේ led වලින් pack balancing වෙන එකක් වෙන්නෙ. ඇඩිපුර voltage එද්දි led ඔන් කරල cell වල voltage 4.2 අතර තියාගන්න එකයි වෙන්නෙ. ඒකයි ඔයා charger එක ගැලෙව්වම led හෙමීට ඕෆ් වෙන්නෙ. 12.6 input කරල check කරල බලන්න ප්‍රශ්නය විසදේවි. එහෙමත් හරි ගියෙ නැත්නම් පොඩ්ඩක් check කරල

      ඕකටනම් වැඩුපුර දෙන්න එපා අර මම කලින් දාල තියෙන්නෙ bms එකක් ඒකටනම් 13.5 අව්ලක් නෑ හැබැයි ඒ උනත් ඉතින් ඒකෙත් එක දිගටම charger එක ගහල තියෙද්දි voltage balancing resistors heat වෙනව. මේ module එකටනම් හොදම දේ 12.6 input එකක්
      දෙන එක තමයි. එහෙම නැති උනොති over voltage යද්දි led turn on වෙලා ඒ voltage එක balance වෙයි. මම 15 input දීල bms එක check කරා led දෙකක් පිච්චුනා.

      There are 2 different versions. You have to pick the right one for 3.2V
