I've been a fan of Queen since BEFORE they were famous. Freddie would have loved this version. His vision of a mini opera realised by Classical and crossover singers. I'm going to say it... when Cho Mingyu sang "Mama just killed a man" it hit me harder than even Freddie, as it felt like a little boy telling his mum he'd done something wrong.
Queen never sang the middle section live. They played a video and left the stage, only returning with Brian playing his guitar. I hope Brian, Roger and John see this homage to Queen and Freddie. ❤️
I think this is how Freddie envisioned the song to be. He must be smiling now. Freddie struggled with the opera section. Forestella was able to pull this off so well because they are a cross over group with members who are skilled opera singers, rocker and a a musical artist . They all cross genres and they all can sing in chest and head voice covering a very wide range. Their synchronization and harmonization is simply amazing. No group has performed the complete song live like this.
Forestella has performed this song many times . So there are many video’s of their live performances. I was fortunate to watch them live in California. And I was spellbound. I think you should watch other live performances and then judge.

Forestella first sang their version of Bohemian Rhapsody in the KBS Immortal Songs which is a kind of remake competition music entertainment show. It made them known to the world, and later they put it in their 2nd album titled Mystique. They had concert tour under the title Mystique. This video was filmed at the Mystique encore concert, the last of the tour.
I prefer their Immortal Songs video because it shows their acting in the performance better. Here it's too dark to see it well.. I recommend Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel. There are 2 more Queen renditions in addition to the very first performed Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella.

They are truly amazing in each and every aspect, whether it's a cover or an original song. Always unique, paying homage to the original song (if it's a cover) and always outstanding. Please keep in mind that no song is going to sound the same and that's what makes it special and that's one of their many attributes! ✨

Forestella has done a cover of “Till” in Korean and English mixed. This was originally sung by Shirley Bassey.
Forestella has done many Korean ballads with heavenly harmonies.
“Spread silk in my heart” is a performance where they turned a rock song to something with a middle eastern / Indian vibe.
“ Nella Fantasia” and “ Je Suis Malade” are other choices.
They are a crossover group, so they have a wide range of genre’s . Forestella is also very creative. You can pick the style of music you enjoy.

Forestella is alway superb and dominate my playlist. I prefer their rendition to the original, once again just my opinion.There is something magical about it.
Perhaps listen to their renditions of Bad Romance or Shape of You, they have changed those a bit more.
Or listen to some of their crossover music like Parla Piu Piano, Dell Amore Non Si Sa, In'Ultra Vita or the song Champions ( Seoul Festa version has the best autistics.)

If you preferred Scarborough Fair to this, perhaps you'd most enjoy some of their other vocally impressive performances, such as Je Suis Malade, Parla Piu Piano, or Champions. The bass, Woorim, is also especially highlighted in Hijo de la Luna, and one of their more upbeat performances, Bad Romance.

I think fans Should learn to accept opinions from people who react to their stans or groups without necessarily getting offended. If I understood them they like the first one (Scarborough fair) better than this which is their honest opinion they didn't say they are not good.
I as a fan prefer Inner Universe, Nella Fantasia, Champions covers more to Bohemian Rhapsody cover though they were phenomenal with that too. It just a matter of which genre or track one likes it doesn't take away the greatness of the performer ❤ Thanks for your reaction 👌🏼

That being said, I think it's very legitimate - and intended on their part - to take into account every aspect of a Forestella performance, right down to the lighting and the costumes. So I liked that you paid attention to and commented on some of those aspects. Everything is chosen by them very deliberately; I'm sure of that after watching so much of their work. Yes, their voices are their most important instruments, but they are also very good actors and great visual storytellers.You'll see what I mean the more performances of them you'll watch. forestella is such a magical group. So much talent and versatility! I know there a quite a few great song recommendations here but also if you interested down the road, perhaps watch the guide to forestella 2024 on youtube? Its a great introduction to all the members individually, their backgrounds and how forestella came to be.

Perhaps watch middle section of Queen’s original again …it is a video recording, then watch a Queen live performance, then watch Forestella Live version again…they are the only group who has successfully done the middle section LIVE in my opinion….many have tried. And Forestella have successfully done this so many times over the years now. QUEEN NEVER DID! .… this is a fact. Queen admitted they could not do it successfully, so they always played their MULTI-TRACKED middle part of their video on stage for this part,…. So maybe revisit Queen’s recorded performance and then revisit this amazing live interpretation, at their concert or any other live version of theirs. This cover is what began their exposure to international audiences. Forestella are not trying to BE Queen or any artist whose work they perform covers of,…they are Forestella who pay homage to the original then add their own interpretation and will rearrange for their 4 voices…obviously with full permission and relevant fees paid to the original artists, in this case Queen.
I liked the performance. I gave it a 9 out of 10. I wonder if I may have enjoyed it more had we seen this before we saw them do Scarborough Fair.

For me, this is currently the best interpretation of this classic. But tastes differ. The middle section is the heart of the song and FORESTELLA has deliberately made very few changes to it. On the one hand, it is an absolute homage to Queen and on the other, this part is also performed LIVE. And Queen themselves have never played this part live. FORESTELLA shows it works. And to be honest, there is no other version that even comes close to this.

Hi!!! Thank you for your reactions!!!! The middle part is the operatic part, and the group does have two opera singers (+ a musical actor and a Chemical ingeneer with no previous musical training, but with a privileged voice), so that may be the reason they stuck to it more on that part (totaly agree on the bad lighting), Of course it all depends on personal preferences.
