Some people say that Storm the Sorrow is the worst in this "mini concert". To me, it is the best. The reason: to determine if a musician is good or bad, it´s not enough to play 20 instruments and study 10 years. It´s their skill to take one type of music, and arrange it into a whole other music style. In this case, they took a metal song, and manage to play it in a jazzy style, and still make it a great song. All you "black metal" musicians: if you can take a Depeche Mode song and make it a black metal song, and KEEP the essence of it, then you will have my respect. Epica = Musicians
From time to time I listen to this video just because of this arrangement of Storm the Sorrow. To me it's much better that original version. I love you Epica!

Great! I love this version of Storm the Sorrow! It allways gives me so much energy to watch how they are enjoying it (especially Isaac ;)). Can't wait to see them at Masters of Rock this summer!
I could watch them jam Storm the Sorrow like this forever. Love the impromptu chromatic line Coen does going into the last chorus, and then Isaac looks over amused. These guys have such great chemistry and they're such great musicians, and of course one really can't say enough about Simone's vocal chops. Wish they would do this kind of stuff more often in their regular live shows!
Gasp. What a babe. And she can sing. And the guys are total pros. Epica rules. Tryin' to imagine down-voting this. Who would down-vote this? Some dang particular people in the world, I guess. Epica rules. That is all. :0
She is asking if they are pumped up for the Pinkpop festival and the guitarist is making jokes about how some pleople have their tongue out of their mouths.
It was hot during Pinkpop in 2014. Between the second and third song Simone makes a remark about how the guitarist is melting. He then replies that there will be pyrotechnics during their main show later that day, so it will be even hotter on stage then.
Epica just keeps putting out great records. The vocals and orchestrations are just impeccable. They kind of remind me of this other heavy symphonic band from Canada called Ascendia (they are pretty fucking sweet). If you like Epica and symphoonic metal you will probably dig this stuff --> ruclips.net/video/AAJu0JEazw8/видео.html

when they played "Storm the Sorrow" i saw exactly whats wrong with todays youth. No one dances anymore. If i'd been at this show and had a partner, I'd of danced. No one dances anymore
Acoustic is not necessarily 100% without any electric instrument, although it most cases it is. "Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means."

7:51 Somebody say: "Hot?(or something similar)". She was ashamed and just said "NO!"
why mark never joins acoustic sessions at pinkpop? he didn't either join in 2010!
Not much to do for a rythm guitar growler in a acoustic session i guess.
Where is Mark?
Awesome! Can someone translate the dialogue between songs?

Oh, it's 3 songs on stage, not 3 performers, was wondering why they had more than 3 people there lol
The 3 is in fact from 'Radio 3' which is a radio station (who covered the festival on national radio)
Não imaginava ver o Epica tocando sertanejo universitário. kkkkkkkkkk
Simeone knows the name of the sons

@AlvinHansom how am I remotely overthinking it boomer?
@AlvinHansom np
Acoustic show: rob playing electric bass
Me: wtf
Acoustic is not necessarily 100% without any electric instrument, although it most cases it is.
"Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means."
I think it's too low for her to sing like that. No? Especially at the beginning of the song
I don't like Storm the Sorrow acoustically
Worts crowd ever.
go back to basics please
