Hi Galina, you can cook the same way with a pork leg (front leg). Just ask your local meat shop butcher to cut it to pieces and cook it that way and we call this dish "PAKSIW NA PATA NG BABOY." Salamat! P.S. - don't forget adding cruched garlic and let the pork cook til it is tender.
Good job, Galina!! Your mom knows how a food taste good….. you made that “humba” a Visayan delicacy, very well done with the banana blossoms as the prime ingredient!! 👍🤗🫶🏻🇵🇭

Humba ba yon parang hindi nman, wlang suka, wlang asukal, di rin gumamit ng sprite sa paglaga black beans ang ginagamit sa humba hindi red..pro kng yan ang version ng humba nya pwd na rin😁
Galina cooking filipino foods in your country 🇵🇭🇧🇾 why'd you try to have a business venture using social media as a platform like catering in big event or near establishment
Your cooking is not right... your mom doesnt taste the real filipino foods...theres no beans in Humba... pine apple or banana called sabà is better than beans
You can correct her in a nice way.Remember that she is just experimenting and learning how to cook humba! She may have used beans because black beans are not available! She will cook it perfectly next time with pineapple juice,a little brown sugar and vinegar.
