I miss RSD. Our store went ka-put a couple of years ago and the a hurricane destroyed the mall and FYe went away. The small local store was pretty cool and always had a good selection on RSD. FYe only had a few items but now there is nothing. I used to get there a few hours before the small store downtown opened and be one of the first ones in. Then one year I got there really early and the door was unlocked. I went in and he said "Oh sorry I am setting up and forgot to lock the door back but since you are here you get first pick! Go ahead and look around". Picked up a couple of LP's and a 45 that day before they even opened! A few months later they went out of business but rumor is they will be coming back soon. I hope so, I miss RSD.
lion king..can you feel the love tonight.....lol..lol...lol....i`m sure that`s by elton john.......lol..was relieved when it went back in the box....great vid.amazing looking player.ade
6:25 I mean, they could've used the standard size hole that's used on 33rpm LPs, instead of doing the engineering all over again. The clear plastic reminds me of the clear Gameboy Colors.
Well, it's a niche product. Fun but it probably won't last. That said, it got me thinking...a full sized quality turntable with a transparent clear acrylic plinth and platter would be very interesting... Back on the 90s, I had a 3 inch b and w cathode TV in a clear box maybe 6 inches square. It was in my kitchen hooked up to a cable box 5 times its size. I thought it was pretty cool looking at the electronics inside but that too was a niche product. But it was fun.
Im impressed but, i don’t like that each 3 inch record, only has one song on it. and costs almost as much as a full album. That is the whole reason I’m not buying it. Id like to see them make a similar player for 45s, That would be just too awesome.
It's so funny to see that every Chinese TT maker, even the makers of these three-inch things, is trying to imitate the looks of the SL-1200. S-arm, pitch slider, etc. Imagine if, instead, they set their eyes on a Beogram, with a classic STP arm... The world will never be the same.
3” records are just so odd to me. Clearly there is a market for it, but I guess I just don’t understand the appeal. But I also don’t understand the popularity of picture discs 🤷♂️
I'm pretty sure it's the same basic idea as 'Pocket Rockers' in the late 1980s. More accessory fad/gimmick than actual useful product, but with a 'cute and small, collect 'em all!' kind of marketing idea. Not unlike trading cards or beanie babies or cabbage patch kids of years past. I imagine soon there'll be one or two records everybody's clamoring for and selling for exorbitant prices on ebay because only like 20 were made or something. Maybe even fast-food tie-ins. "Get the new (insert artist here) exclusive mini-single with your purchase of a Happy Meal at McDonalds today!" Brrrrr. I remember the lines when McDonalds was giving away those Beanie Baby things... Invariably I'd be behind someone who can't seem to comprehend that they very specific one they want was LAST WEEK'S toy, and now they're out of that one and they're giving away THIS week's toy now, and no, lady, they can't just pull one out of their a**, now getoutofthewayandletmeordermyfrigginlunchwillya?!
I wonder What Shango would say, i bet i know what would Happen if Shango got hold of one. But This first time i have seen these in a while Though there are other Mimi- records out there that were older types played on Mini-gramaphones or some thing like that, i have seen those before, so the tech for the records has been around a while, just made Differently now.
Thumbs downed your comment for being an insufferable elitist snob. Beauty in the eye of the beholder....sound familiar? I'm not a fan either, but i don't base my opinion of others on it.

" Crosley packaging is always right on...phenomenal..." then proceeds to RIP the box open !!! impressive ...
14:27 The way you just tossed that insert away... LOL!
I don’t have a 3” record player, but I am sold on this device.

I love the 80's aesthetic of it I had to pick up the new model.
Now we just need an oldies series and some 80s records to go with the new player
Hi, its possible connect with the laptop and digitalize the noises ?
With an analog interface yes.....usb is power only on this
Can you play 5" records on it too?

Lovely! And fun!
Nice, small and cute player. Do these 3" records can be played on both the sides or only one side.
He mentioned in the video they are only 1 sided.
I need to get into these 3" records !
And more coming out here too!
I WTFd so loud when the box was torn!
lol sorry

What's the speed, I think it 45 rpm !
It looks like 33 to me, but I could be wrong.
33 1/3.
any word on the price?

I second the WTF, as ripping the carton is a sin! Maybe some clear packing tape can almost restore it . . .
love it

Those small records are not made of ABS, ABS is not transparent, can’t be. They are made of either styrene or PVC.
MABS can be clear, and in fact all ABS is a type of styrene.

Same here. Picture disks have a ton of surface noise and pictures on the covers look better anyways.

Worrying about wow and flutter on that is like worrying about wheel balance on a tractor.

It's pronounced "SAN TROPAY"

Made in China & will not last but nice novelty item. I wonder what radiotvphononut would think of this as he loves Crosley lol -Cheers

Clear is a big no no for me a clear platter is fine just not the whole turntable
Come to think of it, I'm unsubbing. I'm relatively certain I have nothing in common with someone who thinks post malone is even worth listening to
Don't let the door hit ya in the ass.
Hahahahahahhaah possibly the best comment ever....
Thumbs down for thinking post malone is cool or even remotely talented in any way.
