Is g23 titanium safe I’ve seen lots of jewelry that says g23 but I have no idea if it’s safe to wear or not

@@possumboi6493 G23 is a grade of titanium that is used for many things, including body jewelry, but not all of it is implant grade. The thing to pay attention to if you are concerned about it being implant grade is the ASTM code: Ti 6A4V F-136. Some people can wear other jewelry in grades of titanium usually called G23, but they would only us F136 for a medical implant.

Could you tell me about titanium jewelry with black PVD coating. Are they safe? Is it worth choosing such jewelry or is it better to opt for regular titanium jewelry without coating?

      Probably without coating

Yes, the jewelry will still be safe, but with any PVD plating, the color can start to wear off or chip with time. If you wear PVD coated jewerly in an oral piercing, the chances of it fading or chipping will be MUCH quicker than other piercings. If you still want a pop of color on titanium, you can get the jewelry anodized. While anodized titanium can still fade with time, there's no chipping. Since anodization is an electrolytic process, there aren't any other materials that are added to the metal. We have a blog on the differences between PVD plating and anodizing if you want to learn more: bodyartforms.pulse.ly/0mpni9p42i

hiya, if anyone could help me out it would be amazing, i've ordered 2 sets of titanium tunnels recently, weighed them with precise scales compared to my stainless ones i was replacing and they weigh the same... am i buying scam titanium? from what i understand the Ti version of the same design should weigh roughly 40% less?

@Greg_Fulcher the weight difference for a hollow eyelet made out of steel and one made out of titanium would probably be very close in weight. If holding a solid rod of steel and one of titanium you would be able to tell the difference between them, but the metal for eyelets is so thin and the weight is distributed in such a way that the weight difference between the two materials is negligible. Titanium is naturally more of a gray color in contrast to steel so that is one way to tell, and if you wanted to take the tunnels to your piercer and see if they can be anodized and they can, they are titanium.

Are the titanium products you sell from Invictus legit and verified as implant grade titanium?

They are, and you can find the Mill certificates for Invictus on their website 😊

@@bitchwormpuddin1499 Invictus doesn't hand polish all of their titanium pieces, but they are machine polished to a glossy finish. We are always concerned about the quality of the jewelry that we carry, and we make a point to look into it when we receive questions about the mill certs from of the companies that we order titanium jewelry from. We haven't found proof that any of the companies we currently work with have falsified any of their documentation. However, if you have evidence that someone falsified any mill certs, we would appreciate if you could send it to us so that we can research it further.
