I like that they just straight up admitted that "yeah, we want to make some silly cosmetics at some point, but we also want to keep it serious at the start.". I like that they aren't acting like there won't be some pretty stupid and silly looking things at some point down the road. That honesty seems invaluable in modern gaming.
But that means whoever comes a few months after won't get this same feeling
They are giving a hint that a giant spoon part 2 is coming soon

@@Lucios1995 And is that a bad thing? I mean, me personally, I'm glad to have some of the "silly" mixed in. That's why i loved payday 2. If I wanted a full on serious 100% heisting game, I'm not so sure Payday is that game franchise. Perhaps it's because of 10+ years of payday 2, have always viewed Payday as having elements of silliness mixed in. I know the OG Payday was a lot more grounded, but that doesn't mean we should be pigeon holed to just that. I think having some "silly" stuff mixed in will breathe extra life into the game and make things more interesting. If you want a realistic FPS simulator, there's plenty of those types out there where they don't do any silly things and it's all serious and realistic. Me, I don't feel that's what Payday is though. I think Payday is about incorporating some fun in the mix.
i mean, we even get lovecraft cthulhu and magical shit in official lore. so yeah, next gun probably we will have harry potter pointy stick as legit gun
Just pointing out that they listened to feedback and fixed the heister's faces, I know looks are subjective but I believe they look so much better than they did in the beta.

Dallas and Chains both look just perfect, actually prefer them that way. Wolf is a lot, LOT better than it beta mostly because in beta he was awful, but i still think that he was cooler in 2. Hoxton tho is very different, i don't think many Hox fans from PD2 would like his new look - he looks more like a brute than british gentlemen from TH and 2
I feel like Hox could use some more wrinkles or a slight stubble

I just love the redesign for wolf, he legit looks WAY more unhinged so crazy... With tape patches on his coat, those things on his sleeves to keep em from falling (he has 3 per sleeve) and the little gadget on his hand... Plus the fact that he is the one that looks around and moves more from the other 3 heisters, cuz y'know he is kinda paranoic and crazy
I hope the customization for clothing is gonna go be seperated like bottom shoes top etc. in the future
I also hope they have a simple balacava in the game, like a grotty one with handmade looking holes, like some of the ones in GTA5
Same, the Infamy balaclava was the only mask I used in PD2, and I even made it a boring matte black colour just because.
I can tell he's thinking about Couch Baby when mentioning silly masks.

The note that rarities are not gonna be displayed in game gives me sooooo much hope. We all know the game will have microtransactions, I really wish that this means that all payed cosmetics will be equally priced. Now the question is, will the be reasonably priced too? Because I do want to give my money to SBZ. I just don't want to feel robbed.
they'll never all be equally priced, but if there are cool ones at all price points that will be good. also some cool looking ones you can grind for and do hard challenges to get, would be awesome
@@johnsmith-fk7fwI just really hope the cosmetics aren't just full blown masks with a single cosmetic but have like animated texture packs or something later down the line. Or you know have a community slot or something for $20m from a ingame heist that allows you to input your own texture or image onto your mask if you don't like the stuff in game. It's not like tony hawks underground 2 (PC version) didn't have A feature to take a photo of your face and map it onto your skater or mgs3 snake eater 3d didn't have the ability to add camouflage textures from the camera or every GTA game allowing you to load music out of a folder so you can jam out to your favorite music. Like using user made external files as assets aren't uncommon in videogames but are becoming less common. I wish to go back in time where you can layer your music and stuff in Xbox games and bake it into the soundtrack rather than just having to turn down the music in game and have to configure your ingame sounds to mesh well with the music

Unlike payday 2 they actually seemed to have learned their lesson with in game purchases and are heading towards a much more realistic and value for money approach which most of us will be fine with

Honestly if they were to Livestream development like on twitch like how deep silver used to do with saints row 2 and 3 when they used to give a damn then more people would have more faith.

I wanna see really high level masks that are just the face models from PD2, just because of how iconic and funny they look in comparison to PD3.

I would like some customisation to things you interact with, maybe drill skins or money bag skins and have them fit a theme across all your customisations like a mask, outfit, weapon and money bag for example all fit a theme like anime or blacked out

I was kinda disappointed when I found out that you can't layer or move around the mask patterns but then I realized what people can and will make with such power
Case in point, Forza Horizon
exactly why they should have that power. The forza horizon livery mods are pussies that ban anything fun.
Just throw some feedbacks after release then, they have very good communication with community

@@PhillyJuggalo Payday 2 worked flawlessly with VR PC integration, on Diesel no less.
@@Airbomb yes but as they stated this is their first time ever using URE which naturally makes it harder until you fully understand every capability and it’s max limits, plus VR wasn’t out when the game released it came later which they explained that when doing VR you do have to sacrifice stuff where as this game they were going fully in on details and everything, so imagine how hard it was to begin with when they said they were only able to pull it off with next gen console and PCs lol. I never said it isn’t possible just won’t expect it on launch with everything else, it also depends on if they have enough people to do that while constantly putting out new material for the console/pc but also remember so far they haven’t even mentioned anywhere that they are planning on doing a VR version either even during the entire game showcase or their website.

Hoxton’s redesign doesn’t really look like him but other than that the redesigns look great

Honestly, I hope there’ll be more reason to spend money than what we already have in Payday 2. For example, upgrading or buying new getaway vehicle (land, air, and sea), upgrading/decorating or buying new safe house, more clothes than just static unlockables. Basically, kinda like the ending where Dalas bought a freaking yacht and named it Medic Bag. Our money shouldn’t just be for everything heist related.

man i wish we got more modular mask patterns but seeing them fit better is a plus
So happy there’s no stocks on the patterns. that was probably one of the most frustrating things about payday 2 customization

We may not start a comeback in a chicken suit but in two years I'm sure we'll be stealing golden eggs from a mansion in a chicken suit using a harpoon gun and it will be the most stupid fun we've had in a while

Im pretty sure noone from devs will read that but adding like a bag to change to your loud setups when you go stealth would be great. instead of restarting the game or breaking crime spree you could just change to your loud loadout and survive more than 2 shots

Yes more customization is great. We should have character creation too. Hoping for a paragon infinite leveling type system where you can keep upgrading stats. Would play this game for years and years and try to get friends into it.
Speaking of the web series... you should make a full blown TV show! I haven't played any Payday but I would watch the show right now
As someone who played a bit of payday the heist and have good memories and have full trust of payday 3 with the amount of transparency the devs have given the consumers what seems like almost weekly til the point of launch is leagues better than most publishers out there. This is why I preorder the 3rd entry and not the first or second entry in a series because the 3rd entry in a videogame usually either ascends the series into popularity or nosedives it into obscurity. Persona 3 being the example of ascending the series into popularity and mass effect 3 an example of nosediving into obscurity.
Will we ever have the ability to design our own mask paints (like how racing games allow you to make your own paint job for cars) that would be sick.

On the topic of weapon customization, can you use weapon modifications to make some weapons hurt to look at? Making some really absurd creations with just how much attachments a weapon could have.

2. I meant most people don’t actively, blink most of the clips of the faces were around five seconds and I don’t think people blink that actively.
3. Realism is important and I do like how wolf has “shaky” eyes but when most of the game is with masks on and not looking directly in a npc or players eye it’s doesn’t feel like a necessity.
Constructive criticism is kinda hard to convey in a short sentence I honestly just wish they made Dallas and hoxton look older.

I wish it would always stay gritty and cool
I'm actually getting the feeling that eventually Legendary Armour Skins is going to be canonized into PD3 when the devs begin to do the silly/goofy stuff that ''enriches'' the player's fashion a decade ago, but if they don't want to do it for valid reasons they deem fit, then the modding community can do it as well on Mod Workshop, I'm certain of it. A modder that can port models/textures/animations/firstperson arms from Unreal Engine 5 very well could be a cake walk. Only time will tell.
