I feel being Design engineer is best job for women in Mechanical Field. And also if you are really good in Technical You can become scientist in ISRO or DRDO or BARC. If you are trying abroad better go for MS/Phd you will get much better Profile.

Gone are those day's now most of mech guys work in non core sales/marketing/banking jobs or in small companies on very low wages! Mechanical Engineering is just a HYPE!
