I mix it with glossostigma in the beginning so that the glosso forms a carpet and gives time for UG to establish. ADA came up with this method. I also added some ostracods which (i think) can act as a food source for UG.
@@yuzhifan9010 interesting! The conditions in your tank were maybe better suited to glosso. In my tank glosso only seems to be able to compete with UG in low light areas. Otherwise it gets completely outcompeted by UG.
Excellent attempt....UG is always a difficult plant to acclamatise....plus I really liked your use of Hydrocotyles.....plant growth is brilliant...very healthy...but there is scope of improvement in the scaping part 😊
Hi, can I ask about the nutrition and maintain for Hydrocotyle tripartita? I planted it on driftwood like you and did not plant it under substrate for a while they grew very well, but later on, the leaves became less and almost stopped growing.
Hey. I add CO2, i use an ADA aquasky, amazonia soil and dose with ADA ferts. Recently i have stopped with ferts but the plants seem to be doing just fine….
It helps hold up the hydrocotyle and Cardamine, as well as moss and UG. And also aquascapes can be a bit hard to plan! Sometimes they don't always turn out how you imagine....
whats the point of using hardscape if You're gonna cover them all up with plants, rendering them invisible and unnecessary. Just use soil and powersand to make a slope on the corner and get done with it
I added the rocks to help create the two dark shadows you see (without them, you can see the light from the background shining through), and the wood acts as 'scaffolding' for the Hydrocotyle, Cardamine java moss and UG to grow on. And you can see the wood anyway?!.
how do you treat UG in the early phase? because they are very difficult to adapt in an unstable environment.

Nice layout man. thick and dense! whats your fert routine btw?
Thanks. I followed the standard ADA fert routine.
ultricularia graminifolia was a carnivore plant isnt it? ,. did you add substrate on it or just slap it in the hardscape/wood?
Yes it is. I buried it partially in the soil in the beginning. But after a while it began to grow all over the hardscape!
Beautiful. What is that flowering plant?
Thanks. Utricularia gramminifolia
@@_guppy_house thanks, I saw that on the video too. I didn't know they flowered so beautiful.
Very nice! Question: how many fish and how many shrimps did you introduce in your tank?
Hey. Thanks. 3 ottos, 10 amanos and 10 spotted blue eyes :)

@LinhNguyen-my5my oh that sucks! Such a cool plant.
What was the point of the wood when you can't see it?
