Well done video exactly how I like them. Professional, concise, and presented so that all can benefit from it from seasoned techs to rookies. It'd be great if you did more on the x739 like greasing spindles and all other fittings as well as checking other fluid levels.

Great video of the process. These later models with the 'valve' are a huge improvement over the ones where you have to get a wrench in a pretty tight spot out front of the engine to drain the oil. Not to get into a debate on whether to pre-fill the filter, I found that if you fill it (in 1 shot, don't keep topping it off) and let it sit a few minutes, the filter media actually soaks up most of that oil so you can put it on without spilling a drop. It's not like the tractor is going to blow up if you don't do it, it's just been my oil change habit.

Thanks for watching, great point on that pre-filling method, I’ll try it on my next oil change.

How many hours were on your tractor when you did this oil change? My owners manual doesn't say any thing about the "break in" oil change. I did it at 10hrs anyways. Another excellent video.

Hi, and thanks. That is in the maintenance circular from Deere at the end of the video, they don’t describe it as ‘break in” that was my term, they just call for an oil change at 8 hours.
