Weve got to stop suggesting that industrial hemp is different then cannabis. Once everyone learns this vegetable is harmless, prohibition will end. Not that anyone with legal right to grow will work to end prohibition on cultivating cannabis, but hey...

Yep... CBD-only laws are complete *bullshit.* It's not meant for small farmers, it's not meant for patients, it's strictly a way for fat cats to get even richer while they maintain the insane Drug War. Keep fighting until *everyone* can grow their own or grow commercially, whether it's for fiber, CBD, THC.

Realistically how many acres of hemp would one need to successfully grow to turn enough profit to survive this industry?

The money is in creating CBD oil

For now it's a massive gold rush. But as prices fall and corporations gobble up more of the market, that bubble will burst like every other bubble does. For some reason most small farmers do not seem to understand that at all; most just follow the herd and plant the same thing everyone else is planting. Diversify or die. Unless you own a processing plant, relying only on CBD for oil is just not terribly wise.

The long term money is in Industrial Fiber, CBD is great, but it is the low hanging fruit and too many folks have thrown everything, without a true market and contracts are written to favor the buyer, not the producer. When there becomes too much supply and no or low demand, the buyer just walks away, leaving the producer holding the hemp with no options.

We don't get involved in the processing. You might want to contact legacy Seed directly or even a grain elevator in your area.
