    The ILIAD 62 is the ultimate fuel-efficient power catamaran that will take you further.
    Featuring a bridge deck height of 1.15 metres at half load, the ILIAD 62 strikes an impressive silhouette and boasts one of the longest-range capabilities in her class at more than 3,500nm.
    The catamaran is designed for sublime relaxation and social gatherings with a choice of spacious alfresco areas. The superb flybridge (open or fully enclosed) seats ten in luxurious comfort and features an independent galley complete with refrigeration, BBQ/grill, separate bar fridge, ice maker and more.
    Recline on the foredeck’s decadent lounges at sunset, and enjoy casual dining in the generous cockpit, which features seamless access to the epicurean galley and saloon.
    Accommodation onboard is voluminous and beautifully proportioned, with each cabin featuring oversized ensuites, superb natural light and absolute privacy. For extended-passage voyagers, the exclusive owner’s hull can also incorporate a dedicated laundry, workshop, office and even separate crew quarters with separate bow access.
    The ILIAD 62’s design allows for either traditional davits fitted to her transom or a transom-lift platform for launching the tender and use as a dive platform. An optional flybridge-mounted crane can also be fitted to lift. Optimal safety is assured with clutter-free decks, wide walkways, and full composite-built stairwell with ergonomic handrails to the flybridge.
    The ILIAD Power of Choice allows you to express your individuality with the flexibility to choose your layout, finishes and options to make it as distinctive as you are.

    Nice job on the walkthrough. I’ve looked at a lot of power cats lately after shopping for a trawler for 2 years. I’m impressed by a lot in this yacht, especially an entire hull dedicated to the owner. The laundry and additional room forward check a lot of boxes. I’m not a fan of interiors resembling an IKEA showroom, but they sound very flexible on designs. Thanks, I hadn’t checked this brand before.

      Hi Shady, thank you for your comment and your interest in ILIAD Catamarans. The beauty of the range is that they are customisable - you can choose from a selection of interior colours and materials to create your ideal boat. ILIAD also use real wood veneers and not a synthetic veneer like most production boat builders. Please don't hesitate to contact us for any further information. Many thanks, ILIAD Catamarans.

    Beautiful and well thought through. Still, i can't help but keep thinking what a difference 8ft can make. Thank you so much for the walkthrough, Marcus. I have been waiting for this one. The 70 is still not only Iliad's most impressive cat, it's the most impressive and best designed production cat - period.

    Nice looking if a little austere interior. Would be great to see a really independent objective set of reviews between all the newcomers to the Powercat world and the Aquila Catamaran range.

    I think with a few tweaks you could have a real winner here. I would start with removing the door to the bow. I can just see a big wave coming through their breaking the door and causing a real bad day. Also I really don't understand why a 60-foot boat has such a sorry Helm. You need to put a stidd chair there and open it up. Good job on not using pods

      Hi Andrew, thanks for your feedback and comments and I'm glad you like the 62. I can relate to your thoughts about the forward door but if you notice the boat has a high bulwark running up from the deck about 1ft across the front and down the sides of the boat which protects the boat from green water much more than a conventional boat. Our 62 hull#1 has been up and down the Australian coastline including around Tasmania in the south and been through some nasty weather without any issue. Regarding the helm chairs, this is the beauty of a semi custom boat - we can change it to the design you like!

      Hi Hilda, thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment. Portuguese bridge's are a great feature but when designing this boat we decide to go for maximum flybridge space/area instead. Regarding the machinery, we can certainly look at installing MAN or CAT's to the boat if that is what the client specifically wants. It would be subject to a feasibility study of course but that is the freedom of choice we are able to offer at ILIAD.

    lets see some rough water sea trials......some cats wave slap/pound the center section due to the design vs having a deep V which cuts the waves.

      ILIAD catamarans are built for offshore passage making, hence the high bridge deck clearance (1.15m off the water) and high freeboard. This design makes for a comfortable ride in rough seas. We are working on some further video to demonstrate, or please don't hesitate to contact us if you're genuinely interested.

    Nice white interior clean looking but needs white fiberglass flooring wood is absorbent to water and cooking oil

    • @iliadcatamarans4243
      @iliadcatamarans4243  8 месяцев назад

      Hi Hilda, the boat is the video had real timber flooring but we also offer a hybrid vinyl flooring that is very hard wearing and won't absorb any moisture as you point out. Of course if there is a flooring you prefer to use, we can look at using that.

    IPS drive available?

    • @iliadcatamarans4243
      @iliadcatamarans4243  Год назад +5

      Hi Steve, all the ILIAD models including the 62 have beachable keels suitable for remote cruising. This arrangement protects the shaft, props and rudders in the event you have to make an emergency out of water repair. This would not be possible with IPS which need to extend below the keels and have clear water to operate. These days with advancement in technology most shaft drive engine packages now have joystick controls so the ability to manoeuvring the boats using both systems are very similar these days. Please let me know if you would like me to email you any information.

    Why not IPS

    • @iliadcatamarans4243
      @iliadcatamarans4243  7 месяцев назад

      Hi, we have chosen to use a direct shaft drive propulsion system as it allows the hulls to be beach-able in an emergency. This wouldn’t be possible with an IPS drive. Please let us know if you have any more questions or you would like us to email you some further information.

    • @bobbuilder5362
      @bobbuilder5362 4 месяца назад

      IPS is basically redundant for this boat, shafts will likely achieve better slow cruise economy 'due to larger prop area'. Tougher, just as manageable at docks with Joystick, less servicing, not prone to gearbox failures due to seal leaks, Can be 'beached', boats have sunk due to IPS drives ripping hole in hull. With Ips you also lose reduancy as the IPS unit acts as a rudder, lose IPS lose steering. IPS is for weekender warriors, not a serious long range cruising vessel.

    Keep a liferaft in a locker and you break class safety regs.

    • @iliadcatamarans4243
      @iliadcatamarans4243  10 месяцев назад

      Another place for the liferafts can be on the flybridge deck behind the stairs, which makes more sense I agree.
