As a metalhead who has been to hundreds of shows, I can confidently say Dir En Grey put on the best concert I've ever seen. I will ALWAYS go out of my way to see them when they tour.
I went to most of their first tour (thanks to my best friend that was living in Japan at the time, he flew me over there, I could never afford to do something like that myself) and this just makes me wish I could go back in time and relive that about 5 more times, or 10?

I got my Blu-ray today but noticed that there are loads of effects over the concert like changing to black and white, changing screen size etc but your videos of the concert are clean? Do you have a different version to mine?
@@sattvio It's just me or there is a The Cure influence here (disintegration album mostly)? Wouldn't be surprising considering how much early visual kei was influenced by gothic rock, deathrock, post-punk, that kind of thing.
@@NikolasMitsuguiI'm actually surprised at how you are the first person I've ever found to point out that influence cause it's so obvious to me, in fact the idea of dir en grey covering the cure has crossed my mind more than once and I really wish I could hear how that would turn out cause I love both bands so much

sukekiyoを初めて聞いたときは「Kyoさん優しい歌詩が歌えるんだ・・・」と思ったけど、
最近の楽曲を聞くとただ優しいだけじゃない、その裏にある痛みも抱えてるって感じて
その痛みだけにフォーカスを当てたのがDIRで
優しさの部分にフォーカスを当てたのがsukekiyoなのかなって思いました
そしてその間にある激しさがラルクのドラムと組んだ別バンドなのかな
