Shah of Iran was a Amazing guy. People of Pakistan send our love to you.He kept Iran out of wars. Kept his country strong both military and economically and was a friend of Pakistan.He was not perfect, made mistakes but still he made a major impact on the lives of all the people of his country. Peace and prosperity that was Iran during his reign, not for all iranians but still better than nothing.
It’s so difficult to watch this and not cry. I was born after the revolution and have only known darkness in our beautiful Iran at the hands of heinous Islamic regime. I can only imagine the greatness we would have reached has HRH Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi continued his reign in our beautiful land. I pray for the freedom of Iran so that, one day, his soul will truly be at peace. Long live the memory of His Royal Highness and long love Her Royal Highness, our beautiful Queen of our hearts, Empress Farah Pahlavi! 💚🕊❤️

Educate yourself about the dynasty before the Pahlavis, the Qajars, and how they lived in luxury while peasants were living in poverty. Iran was a very prosperous country in the Safavid era, in the 16th-18th centuries, and then it went backwards on every level - economic, military etc. The Pahlavis in 50 years managed to undo much of the damage the Qajars had caused in 2 centuries. Don't compare Iran of 1970 to Switzerland. Compare it to Iran of 1920. The technologically advanced, industrialized country with a highly educated population that Iran is today, owes its progress to the Pahlavis.

I visited this mosque and the tomb in 2016. The mosque is pretty historical. As seen here, the tomb is not too fancy, and perhaps quite modest, with the Iranian flag next to it. Egypt always had old ties with Iran, being part of various Persian empires from 500's BC to 600's AD.

Very interesting documentary, and of great emotion, I have great admiration for the Empress of Iran, one of the most beautiful women of its time and beautiful until today. When she was in Brazil she was much admired and praised by all. This documentary only shows the great love that the Empress had for the emperor of Iran.
It was his first wife the beautiful woman of her time, even today, there fews that compete with her beautiful.
Note the stark contrast- Iranians will always remember our great Shahanshah and Shahbanou but IR will be forgotten and disregarded as a dark chapter in our history the day it falls.

Did the Shah make blunders, and I'll-advised actions? Yes, like every leader, he was a flawed human. But he also did so much to bring his country into modern times. The Khomeini has set Iran back to medieval times. A true shanda.
As to their two adult children who took their own lives, try to imagine the anguish and deep perplexity of being uprooted, turned out of all that is familiar, of having your father die at a relatively young (60) age. The life you were raised to believe you would lead, what you were trained and brought up to believe you would do, suddenly evaporated, leaving you without focus, shamed by your countrymen who could not, or would not, stand against the unreasonable rule of a power-mad religious despot. And if you are prone to depression, you may wonder if the pain of living is worth continuing on.
I have great respect for the Shabanou and Mrs. Sadat. Both have presided over great chapters in history. Both have suffered great loss at the whims of political greed and selfishness, both have continued to quietly continue support and encourage open government of, for, and by the people of their respective countries. Both have continued to actively support the betterment of their people. I sincerely doubt anyone will look back on Khomei as a positive force for the people of Iran. So very sad, indeed.

How I love the Pahlevis ! The last Shah, that sadly had such a short life (barely 60 years old) was a great, intelligent man that wanted the best for his country. He pulled Iran out of the Dark Ages within a few decades! Then came hell in the shape of Khomeini and his thugs! It’s so sad what happened in Iran aka Persia. Other countries have monarchies and manage to work things out. Persians/Iranians have contributed so much with their beautiful mosques and arts & Islamic Calligraphy eg the Taj Mahal in India. It’s a shame they can’t have religious and political and monarchical freedoms.
