You no longer have to wait until rush hour. Just go during non-rush hour on the J, they will have at least 3-4 sets (R32 trains). During rush hour (7AM to 8:15 AM & 1:30 PM to 5:45 PM), they run like 5 R32 sets for Z skip-stop rush hour service. Good luck trying to catch the 1964-65 Budd. The R179s will be out of commission for a while, as they undergo engineering inspections, repairs, as well as major hardware upgrades and improvements to the new cars so that an incident like this doesn't happen ever again. The announcements on the A-Train are similar to the announcements on the R179s, but there's shorter dwell times in the station.
