Your right Leopard's kill Silverbacks and have killed them in fights and tear them up . Gorilla's are a peaceful animal. Big Cats and Bear's are just to strong for any Ape ever .
I could be wrong. There have been stories of leopards attacking and killing gorillas but maybe these kills were female gorillas. Female gorillas are much smaller than the males. So I could be wrong.

It’s true. They ambush them from behind. A gorillas’ skin doesn’t have much protection against the claws and teeth of a leopard. And they aren’t predators.
About 30 years ago I was at Phoenix Park Zoo in Dublin, EIRE. I was then about 6"1` tall. The hippo lying on it`s side was `taller` than I. Ie, I couldn`t see over its stomach.

I read that a leopard can take down a gorilla. So if a leopard can take down a gorilla then obviously a tiger can aswell.
