As a half Japanese myself, in regards to making friends with Japanese people, I think the reason you kept getting rejected is due to your initial approach. Your first line, "do you want to be my friend!?" can seem too abrupt, without any context explaining Why you want to be friends. I think if you approach them casually, introducing yourself and that you're looking for more Japanese friends, and Then inviting them to your party, I feel you would've gotten more approvals.

    • @NO1xANIMExFAN

Like the half Japanese girl said in the video, it all depends on the place you go. The places he went most people are on the move in their own mindset going about their work.
You go to Shinjuku or Shibuya and I guarantee by the end of the night there would be at least 100 people going to that party.

OMG I mean ur not actually becoming good friends here but by asking "would u like to be my friend" you're instantly breaking the ice and making yourself very vulnerable - its a high risk high reward strategy and some people definitely would love to make friends by just being asked.

I’ve been here afew years. And honestly Japanese are very difficult to befriend. Like they’ll be polite and friendly on the surface. But once you try to build that long term friendship they get flaky, the stop replying to messages, etc. not all of them ofcourse, but foreigners are waaaay friendlier. On the other hand, I’m dating a Japanese girlfriend and she’s easily the best dating experience I’ve ever had. And one of my close friends here is Japanese and he’s super supportive and great

It went actually very well! Thank you for showing us. I am 100% introvert but I enjoyed the video very much! I am learning Japanese and will for sure visit Japan some day. Living in Germany, I find it way more difficult to make friends here than in Asia. If you are non-asian, trying to make friends in Asia, it is not THAT hard. But as an asian, in Europe, we are like invisible lol
