My home is in Oregon where we Oregonians boast lush valleys, majestic mountains and awesome Pacific oceans. But there is something so magical about Thailand! Ay sorry for commenting on such an old comment but I'm also an Oregonian born and raised!! And one of my grandmothers is from Thailand, not far from the village featured in this video, so naturally I've felt a fascination with Thailand just as well my whole life. Plus, my grandfather is Laotian and Telugu Indian, our cultures are so beautiful and ancient 💖
At first I thought having Mark say every time "I hope you are having an amazing day" was going to be boring, I really look forward to it on every video. I watch them just for that opening now. Aww, wow, this village really did roll out the "red carpet" welcome. My ethnicity is Hmong and we hail from this part of the world and also practice this ceremony. It's reserved for honored guests, new babies, or new marriages of the like. Very special. Each one of those white strings tied is an individual blessing that was spoken and wished upon. Love it.

Aww, wow, this village really did roll out the "red carpet" welcome. My ethnicity is Hmong and we hail from this part of the world and also practice this ceremony. It's reserved for honored guests, new babies, or new marriages of the like. Very special. Each one of those white strings tied is an individual blessing that was spoken and wished upon. Love it.
