Wonderful technique. Propagating pawpaws is very tricky when it comes to ensuring one gets female plants. This is where grafting becomes handy. However the issue is how to get reliable source of the scion?

Take the scion from mother plant that already produce fruits. if the mother plant don't have the scion, cut the stem then it will produce the scion.
