    Very good and appreciate your videos :-)
    2 things for new people:
    1) Check your Finances to see what is costing you the most (Clan tab, other, right lower left box)
    * Finance will show you all your profits and losses. If you see that your 5 parties cost you 10000, and your 1 fief and workshops only make you 5k; you obviously will be loosing money each day. Then decide what to do to fix it (i.e. disband a party, lower party wages, buy more workshops, start caravans, smith more, do a lot of quests, fight more ,etc.)
    2) You mentioned garrison and ways to fix it (governors) 🙂 There is also the auto-recruit feature (clan tab, parties tab, near the bottom - you can adjust your towns garrison). Checking the cost of your current garrison could show you that its too big for your finances (you will also see it in the Finance section too.).
    Ex. I have left auto-recruit on with no wage limits and have had a town garrison that was 6000 a day. You need to be mindful. For my second/third fiefs, I just put auto-recruit to a max wage of 1990 - then forget about it. Unless I'm using that town/castle to help feed my personal parties, which then I leave it unlimited and accept that I might start loosing money.
    Note: adjusting your garrison to very low levels will result in a town with low security and other kingdoms will start to prioritize it. Ex. Your fief is near the back/far away from any fighting; but you lower your garrison that security gets very low; enemy parties will now start travelling far into your territory to capture your low security fief.
    2b) Parties tab. Checking and manipulating your parties tab can help you easily adjust all your parties (army parties or fief parties) $ on one screen.

    I most definitely rushed it. How could I not though? This game is amazing. I just bought it a few days ago. It's everything us "boomer" ex Age of Empires players and history nerds hoped the future of gaming would be. I'm a vassal for Sturgia, have 6 companions and 3 castles all with garrisons and I'm losing denars at a rapid pase. I don't think there was a point in this game I wasn't losing denars daily. Strange because I have a caravan and 3 workshops, but they don't seem to help. After watching this video I'll be going through everything with a fine tooth comb. Much appreciated. You got a sub.

      @@Flesson19 I actually do have a question. What do you reckon is the right amount of troops in a garrison? I checked the "finance" tab and it says that my garrisons, main army and mercenaries are my main expenditures. I don't remember using any mercenaries, unless that's troops bought from other kingdoms.

      @@irish2772 first mercs are paid from them being hired by a kingdom so I am assuming your in someone elses kingdom, just like you get and pay tribute for being in a kingdom. Garrison is super tough, you want enough to protect your place but too many eats money and also food. I like to hold about 250-300 with a good governor. In my death campaign I use my fief as a trap to get others, I let them attack it and when my garrison is down to about 75 then I attack its very effective. It all comes down to money. A town will never pay for the garrison, another TW mistake so you need to make a ton of money to pay wages. Smithing, crafting orders, high roguery with fighting for loot, having 275 steward and companions with efficient campaigner for cheaper wages. Its all about money management to determine it. I know, not the quick answer, but Bannerlord is this way. Keep asking if you want further answers. Always here to help

      @@Flesson19 oh ok. So because I'm a vassal for Sturgia, any troops I get from the king or kingdom of Sturgia are considered mercenaries? You must make one hell of a profit on caravans and workshops, because I cut my garrisons down from around 150 to 50 and all 3 still cost me around 300 denars each. I'm fairly new to the game but something I noticed quickly was that my wages decreased when I sent companions on quests with other units. Sending them off with the best, most expensive units means you're not paying those high wages. Obviously the downside is that you don't have those units on hand but during peacetime when you don't really need anything tier 4 or above because you're only fighting looters it's a good way to skimp. Maybe there's something I'm overlooking but it's seemed to help me quite a bit so far.

    I had I lucky break and had a rebellion like 300 days in and I found if you pick where you wanna go where you wanna go and do missions like caravan ambushes and escort missions and stuff as I go and it seems to keep you enough in the positive you can spend some money on your town and pay for everything as your upgrading your town so it starts going positive instead of negative. I've also got lucky and brittania is pretty week so to may a quick 100 grand I'm gonna start a war with them since everyone else is busy fighting them too. Hey guys just thought I'd pitch in a bit here. I found the following to work wonders. This will be long but I promise it'll help.
    1. Always get a governor who can boost loyalty just by being of the same culture. Focusing on loyalty and keeping it above 50 will increase building speed meaning walls and tax collector are done faster
    2. Always fight for your towns/castles. Often you can fight even if outnumber 3 to 1 and win. 4 to 1 depending on troop quality and 5 ton1 if lucky or very good. Meaning 200 can fight off around 1000. You do this by focusing on the gates. When they break through them you order your men to charge rather than take the beating. And they will win 9 out of 10 times and they will flank whoever is on ladders or towers. All the while your archers are still firing as the enemies on ladders are held back by your initial charge order.
    3. When getting prisoners. Click the double arrow to get as many as your party can take and they will always be the best quality prisoners to ransom.
    5. Do quests on the small villages or towns you own as they increase hearth which increases prosperity hence your money.
    6. Get a small and fast party led by a companions to defend your territory. You can limit is expenditure and therefore it will never grow beyond what it can pay for. Doing this and setting them in defense mode will make them fight all bandits. Again this helps loyalty, security, hearths, and prosperity.
    The basic idea on all this is that my by fighting your own battles (you can delegate command on all forces until needing to charge) and making small time or money investments. Think of the small party idea or the loyalty buff you can cut off loads of money from your expenses.

    On the garrison needed, thats an issue imo in tersm of "security".
    Tbh some of theese negative factors can last to long and that they never stop, is really bad imo.
    Example a hideout -2... while I have witnessed a lair being cleared by defeating bandit parties, I've seen it 2 times.
    I have however seen the same lair at other places for over 2k days now, never bothered to remove it, since its in my intrest to keep that towns security down ehem.
    Then you have various other quest, like "train troops" -1 pr.. and yah its really great when you own Seonon which have 4 villages attached and each have that quest! lol.. Not to mention you can only do 1 at a time + it can take some time(I usually craft and donate alot, so they lvl up fast tbh for that one(keep the other troops in garrison).
    The big issue with this is for the players like he who's playstyle means your kingdome basically is at war constant, cause well even with 2-3 enemies we win too much so they see no reason(while its easier to get peace now in 1.72 Beta it still not 100% like I want, main culprit for it not being good enough, is that peace dont last enough time. 30 days is basically a joke imo, should be 100 days, maybe as low as 60).
    30 days where its peace with tribute, then 60 days where there is no tribute and on day 100 war can be declared.
    This would also counter some snowball effects imo.
    Give time for those factions that "get squeezed" time to recover abit, before other factions pounce on them, AI vs AI dont do very well in 3 vs 1 (Battania gets hit by NE, WE and Vlandia in my plays alot(Sturgia for life here) So we then typically end up in wars vs Vlandia, and take the lands they took from Battania.
    Same in my plays with SE, who gets pounded by NE, WE, Khuzait + Aserai all the time.
    I digress, but yah for this factor that we cant be at our lands, and travel time from frontlines is 5-7 days 1 way takeing the time to go clear that bandit lair is really frustrating, as it ends with when you come back to frontlines, the enemy have now wiped out alot of progress.(sieges is too fast overall imo, should take longer for the AI vs AI(pretty sure that a siege that last for 2 days would be illprepared vs entrenched defenders to put it that way).

    • @Flesson19
      @Flesson19  2 года назад

      good points, one is for peace that is why I mod diplomacy covers that, these are all issues but once you have a kingdom its gets a bit easier. But when Im a vassal I want one town, thats it. And when in a kingdom, I give most away just not worth dealing with too many

    • @zoriononline
      @zoriononline 2 года назад +1

      @@Flesson19 I'm still strict vanilla until the game is released(even if it drives me up the walls, so I dont have other causes for bugs etc when I report and give feedback etc).
      I agree with the try to keep only 1 town tbh.
      In this play though, I actually got 2 towns and 2 castles(and they are still offering more, I vote on the others or take it, then give it away(there should be an "abstein from more land that lords could get, so that the king could take it, and once they get defecting lords, could offer it to them).
      I only play sandbox though, and only as vassal. I did become king once(and conquered the whole map).
      I do like this other strategy, find a rebelling city - conquer it! from the rebels, they will die, you got the town, however dont proclaim yourself a kingdome.. and thus the ai cant declare war on you :P
      And since the faction that had it is gone - they cant either :)
      This is a good way to get a nice town, and just watch the others wrestle for power.
      This way you can also influence the tide of war, and make a profit ->
      Follow the faction you want to support.
      Have tons of cows with you, and as they siege offer the cows for free(so they dont need to travel to get more food, and thus actually finish the siege..)
      Now you also want to stock up on all the goods you can like grain, meat etc, then the now starved town they conqured will pay really premium for your goods - profit!
      I wish they moved the "trade perk" endgame perk to be much lower, so you could trade with the lords in your faction when you are a vassal to one that is far from the frontlines and just keep that(and also not deal with the culture bias aswell).

    • @tdotfun
      @tdotfun 2 года назад +1

      Hideouts are interesting, in terms of affecting your town. Yes, it lowers security but you can compensate - you might need some kingdom policies (can get around +4 security)/governors (another ~4)/big garrisons to compensate (these are the base).
      So, getting more security fixes that about hideouts vs fief; but doesn't fix all the bandit parties killing your villager parties over the long term; which lowers your towns food supply and can cause the chain reaction of no food, no prosperity, no loyalty, into rebellion. I've waited a year in-game, at a far off town, and saw my daily income drop a lot. So..
      This is where I liked the Improved Garrison mod. You could have garrison parties patrolling about your fief, so going back to clear hideouts was a low end priority. But, with no mods now I end up going back every so often.
      About the consistent war's/peace. I agree and disagree; depending on your/kingdoms relation. If there is some really bad relations and everyone hates each other, it kind-of makes sense that the other kingdom just wants to kill you over and over - so, they focus you. If you/you kingdom has good relations (marriage, quests, etc.) then I agree; its too fast.

    • @zoriononline
      @zoriononline 2 года назад

      @@tdotfun I know about the polices etc, this is more an issue for the AI overall.
      But as I said when you get -4 from villages and -2 from hideout at times thats abit much and needs to be fixed.
      We should have an option like the mod you mentioned, that we could make say a companion be a "deputy" in the area and lead a party to hunt bandits(they wouldnt act like normal companion parties, as they wouldnt be called into armies).
      The problem with the endless/chain wars is that it just simply tank the fun when you get into that state.
      15 years of non-stop war vs 2-3 enemies at once just "isnt fun" and it also in some way kind of act as a snowball effect for your kingdome.
      Even if its the same 1-2 fiefs being flipped over etc, and many of the wars is short, it still usually ends when your kingdome have 1+ more fiefs.
      The thing the game lacks is what I've seen in some mods(I track a ton of mods, but dont play'em while in EA) war-fatigue, that your kingdome just plainly gets tired of war.
      And needs a breather.
      After all the joke of a tribute being paid, 3000-5000 denar for a kingdome is nothing.
      So paying that just to get some peace would be likely.
      Defeated kingdomes still acting like "pest-lords" raiding villages etc even if they only got the starting king clan left + some mercs at times, never ever do they siege - bring back "exile" from Warband, and if a town rebel of their starting cities - they get it and are returned.
      Or just make it so they are reverted to a normal clan after 100-1000 days without lands(Battania in my Play is prolly close to 1500 without land, Southern Empire close to 1000, but they still keep on declaring wars all the time on everyone).
      Dont get me wrong the game is awesome in so many ways, but there is some flawed mechanics still, that dont make "end game" pleasent(unless you behead ppl..)(which isnt relaly great, unless you play a ruthless type).
      I'm itching for the game to be released so modders can have stable mods to add in etc(but not on the expense of shipping the game premature though).

      Parts tip: I find a really good way to get parts is to smelt higher tier weapons. A lot of times, you'll make back your investment if you smelt something like a falx or even a ridged saber without too much work. The more expensive, the more effective. Even if you really want the weapon, you can pretty easily get to the point that you can turn around and buy another one for yourself from the profits you made off of the unlocks.

    Hey Flesson, Great video however, I have max'd out making money and can make as much as each Fief has in its bank as I tour the map so making money is no problem for me however, managing my expenses is very difficult mainly because I cannot see my itemised costs, I think because the list is so big, when I hover over the gold there is just way too much to see everything. It fills my screen Q: is there any other place I can check to see my overall accounts in the game?
    Here is my situation I was Battanian and then broke away and defeated the Empire. I have four factions left to completely own the map. My daily costs are ranging between $26,000-$35,000. I went around the map and reduced my Garrison to the minimum whereby there is a +2 food generation, I have 400-500 militia in each town. I have a 412 army and all my Fiefs are contibuting daily from 810 gold to 2800 gold per day and I currently have 27 towns and no castles. I have no workshops I just used Smithing to earn gold.
    Are these expense normal as I was making a daily income throughout the game until I defeated the empire and then I noticed my gold dropping fast. I smithed until I made 25m gold and was positive I have made more than plenty, I have 8.8m now and it is dropping fast.
    Any help you can give me to locate my full list of costs or give me some advice on how to manage the money I would be greatful. Cheers 🤔

      Day never: have fun. Min/maxing is such a freaking bore, I've been tired of this since RuneScape and then Skyrim threw it into overdrive and now here we are with Bannerlord and daggers/smithing is still the tired old min/max strat. I mean, go off if that's your bag, but acting like it's the only or best way to play the game is hella disingenuous and has the potential to ruin newbies' experience.

    What in the world how does that even work I am actually upset that I always make way more money then I need specially if there is war I make so much money from destroying armies it’s not even funny I have to constantly run around other town just so I can sell it because towns don’t have enough money ever ! For that reason alone I keep having to download mods to raise my troops salary and recruiting up to like 1000 denars minimum from lowest rank idk how people play this game but that was always my main issue since the beginning town never have enough money to sell everything and each sandbox late in game I am making way too much money to know what to do with! So I just keep selling everything after battles even tho i am losing 50k to 200k each trade since I always feel like I am cheating this is mostly mid to late game!

    • @Cavemanner
      @Cavemanner Год назад +1

      @@alexnaranjo4411 ah, yeah, you can do parties that big, sure, but you have to plan it out carefully. If you have even 100 of those troops at tier 5 you're bleeding out more than your workshops/fiefs are producing, and that's just that 100. The other 400 will be draining you on top of that, so you'll likely never even break even without maxed shops, several maxed fiefs, several caravans and even then you'd have to be lucky on top due to economic drift. It's better to just keep your party to a more reasonable size (100-200), keep ratios of higher tier units instead of blindly upgrading every troop (some tier 5s are actually worse than tier 4 right now anyway, so a tier 3/4 army is a good setup for pure offense like during wars), and watch your garrison levels (you can adjust your garrisons' wage caps in the clan screen, fiefs tab, under where your fiefs are listed).
      Hope that helps! Good luck, and feel free to ask any and all Bannerlord questions, I'll do my best to answer them or point you to another video that can!

    • @Cavemanner
      @Cavemanner Год назад +2

      @@alexnaranjo4411 oh, I forgot to add that while you maintain a party of 100-200, during wars you just recruit a bunch of lords to your Army to bolster your numbers instead of trying to pay for 500 troops yourself. If you're trying not to join a kingdom, recruit wanderers and train them in Steward, Medicine, and Scouting, and then Tactics and Riding if able. Once they're a decent level in all of those (up to you and how long you want to grind training them) then go to your clan, parties tab, and create a party with them as the leader. Make sure you have a decent number of high tier troops to give them to start, say 20-30. They'll immediately recruit lower tier troops in friendly towns to fill out their party and you can then form an army and call them into it for free and with free cohesion restoration.
