Yeah, I was saying it was my favourite line. "Headlights of my JUSTICE".....still good. Thanks for bringing it up again it reminded me and made my morning.
Bill thinks he's a boob who doesn't take anything seriously. Although he doesn't laugh at clowns he doesn't really care if other people do. That's impression I get anyway, so I don't think they would get in trouble in the slightest.
This is how you handle O Reilly. This is why brilliant men like Richard Dawkins can't seem to do it properly. They don't understand that O Reilly isn't an idiot saying stupid and illogical things because he fully believes them, but that he's a skilled debater playing a game to push a political agenda that economically supports him. He's a greedy, malevolent bigot but not a fool. Most people try to argue logic with him when he will manipulate, interrupt, yell, and paraphrase until they are left frustrated and tired and Bill comes out looking on top. Stewart and Colbert understand this. The reason they keep embarrassing him like this, is because they understand they're playing a game and they're better at it than he is.
You do realize that they were both just messing around with each other right? There was hardly an ounce of seriousness in the entire interview

Well, Dawkins does it more than properly, but he's playing a different game from O' Reilly. Dawkins debates things, 'O Reilly is making propaganda. Dawkins discovers and explains facts for a living. O' Reilly made a living out of dodging and twisting facts. They're like a mechanic and a compulsive vandal both going all out on a car, or the fire brigade and an arsonist both doing their thing inside the same building.
Colbert is an absolute genius, Bill tried to do his usual thing where he tries to make the guest seem fake and tries to get bits of info that "exposes" them, but Colbert flipped it on him to the point that he started shouting.
Exactly. I was just telling a friend the other day, Bugs was funny because he didn't fuck with anyone until they started shit with him. After that, you're fucked.
bill - "...you do fear bears?" colbert - "i do fear bears. they're giant, marauding, godless, killing machines." bill - "theres one right there." *shows photo* colbert - "right there... THAT"S NOT A REAL ONE RIGHT!?" bill - "no." colbert - "okay, thank you."

bigchunk1 I want you to know. That I spend so much time in the world that is spinning all the time. That to be in the no spin zone actually gives me vertigo. I laughed my ass off so hard when I heard him say that. Only Colbert could come up with that.
Bill O'Reilly took the time to find his third grade teacher and visit her? Not only is that a little bit creepy but its pathetic. He's really scraping the bottom of the barrel. His first complaint against Colbert is that he changed the pronunciation of his name. That's the worst thing he has on the guy!
I cant even watch him,his arrogance is very off putting..lol..to say the least! I like when colbert said he drinks pat robertson protein shakes for strength, and it went right over bills head...lol

Bill o'reilly does not have much of a sense of humor and in real life stephen colbert and bill o'reilly dont like each other, they have both mentioned that alot even colbert's last episode of his show he pretty much said F U to bill o'reilly
Tony Tony Chopper "Its a French name just to get the cultural elites on my side" Bill comes back to that question multiple times, how is that playing along. Everything that dumbass said is what he believes...
You guys defend O'Reilly, but Colbert was doing an amazing job making fun of him inconspicuously. While O'Reilly was trying really hard to cool his republican animal instincts down.
Yeah it baffles me how people keep highlighting this video as an example of O'Reilly getting his ass kicked or getting mad, when it's super-obvious that he's just having fun with Colbert the entire time. Like, I've seen enough bits of O'Reilly being a giant ass, and this ain't it. He's a really good sport here, aside from all his shots at Jon Stewart.
I guarantee to Bill's ego didn't let him notice that Colbert was mocking him the whole time. Bill sincerely felt flattered and ego boosted. Colbert is sharper than anyone. You can't argue with someone like Bill O'Reilly just like Trump. they only believe themselves.
They should have two debate teams talk about issues Hannity, orielly, coulture, limbaugh vs Maher, stewert, colbert, cenk And maybe throw in some lightsabers at the end ;)
bigmack0033 It's only funny because colbert is pretentious enough to change the pronunciation, and then reveals the origins on it and it's pronounced different.
He did know, he just allowed himself to enjoy it and make jokes back for once instead of being the stuck up jerk he is. This is just both of them poking fun at each other. He'd be tolerable as a person if he acted like this more
***** I agree. O'Reilly is playing a character just as much as Colbert is. Just playing it for a crowd that actually takes him seriously and that doesn't get the joke. He knows where the money is.
I think that anyone who sees this and believes O'Reilly is taking the interview seriously has never actaully seen him give a real interview. He's blatantly playing along with Colbert the entire time. And it's hilarious.
***** Not really ? If you think he's mad in this interview, you haven't seen him get mad. That whole "WHO ARE YOU" bit was just him goofing around. He's half smiling when he says it!
Goatmon It seems to be a combo to me. He comes into this trying to play along but also skewer Colbert. When he fails he covers it up by playing along, but can't quite keep up. He's come back with the idea of "You stole everything you do from me" many, many times in future interviews, it obviously bothers the shit out of him. But O'Reilly isn't a complete idiot, he knows he's being fucked with.
That is funny. There were some great cracks, very artfully made. That was a special moment of air time. Two "characters" doing their thing, head to head. One in character with notes. The other in character without.
John Uysal Sorry, but I really don't think he is. He's legitimately a moron. I used to think he just acted like a dumbass for his show, but then I saw some of his homemade, off the air videos and vlogs... and very much regretted it.
Lynne the Trendy Tetraodontiforme I don't disagree with you. He's full of stupidity, rage, and bullshit. I've seen him get pissed at the dumbest shit. I know the stuff you've seen. But I think they were intentionally trying to get views from both groups. Fox viewers, and Colbert views, and I think the way they played it out was for the enjoyment of both. I mean, if you think about it, someone who watches fox news all the time would probably see O'reilly as the "hero" of the conversation/debate/skit. True, I can in no way REALLY know 100%, but it seems like a play to me, even after seeing all that crap O'reilly has spewed.
Written Word I mean, considering it's an interview on TV, I'd assume most of it was at least loosely planned out, but I get the feeling that that smirky expression on Bill's face is real disgust. :|
Cobert's humorous sarcasm is pure genius. The title of this video is pure bullshit. These two guys enjoy sparring, and i think they actually like each other as well as respect each other.
+DARIVS ARCHITECTVS i doubt they like each other at all. they come from two opposing political worldviews. colbert is satirizing and mocking right wing bill o'reilly and fox, to his more intellectual, liberal audience and o'reilly was trying to get colbert to mess up his act of impersonation of an ego centric fox type presenter. they were civil but sneering. thats my understanding from a uk perspective
I don't know about like, but they definitely respect each other professionally. They were both enjoying the back and forth, O'Reilly isn't that relaxed on a normal basis.
Colbert: "Do you know what I hate about people who criticise you? They criticise you about what you say, but they never give you credit for how loud you say it". Bill: "That's true...". Colbert: "Or how long you say it".
Of course Bill O'Reilly isn't actually pissed off, well doesn't show it. But I'm sure that Stephen hit him pretty hard, he out right humiliated him on his own show and the only thing Bill could do was play along. I've seen quite a few of these videos where Bill just yells and speaks over his opponents and pulls them in to more brash reactions and responses, but Stephen handled this so frigin well.
Yes Bill, thank you for being such a simplistic, cardboard character that has made it absurdly easy for Colbert to mine continuous comedy gold off your self aggrandizing, shallow view of the world.
Moss Grande I think the video is definitely mislabeled, but I wouldn't really say they were both joking around per se. Stephen never breaks character, and if Bill were to do is usual "flipping shit" routine, he'd get trolled to high hell. Colbert personifies the devil may care attitude, and even though I have zero respect for Bill I think he knows it. So I wouldn't go as far to say that it was a back and forth of jokes, just Colbert doing his thing and Bill just kind of letting it happen. Hell, Colbert had O'Reilly's staff laughing in the background even.
This may be a shocker... but O'Reilly developed this megalomanic syndrome of his long before Colbert even came along... all on his own... and I'm sure he would appreciate that we pay him his due credit. I believe such a finely polished piece of shit deserves recognition, so there is no need to associate Colbert with him any more than necessary... imo :)
Well, to be fair Colbert's character may not solely be based on O'Reily, but it does draw a lot from him especially in tone and mannerisms, (I mean, just look at the two of them together--you can see how he parodies Bill's cadence and condescending attitude) something Colbert himself acknowledges. But Bill's ego is a force of it's own anyway.
***** Dont you get the point? In this 'interview' O'Reilly is simply too afraid to be serious with Colbert - if he were, the result would eventually be another O'Reilly style explosion. And even if he tries to be as nasty as possible in a seemingly funny way, he ends up being pathetic. From the other angle, Colbert is smart enough to understand that O'Reilly is so fanatic that rational argumentation would not lead to anywhere. Colbert vs O'Reilly 10-0.
"They criticize what you say, but they never give you credit for how loud you say it" -Stephen Colbert. I couldn't even breathe when I heard that, it was so go damn funny
I love how he immediately says he's not French and Bill still has to say he talked to his 3rd grade teacher... he just SAID he's Irish, can you not take YES for an answer?
Polar opposites : One Pumps people full of fear and hatred, the other full of laughter One is a blowhard ,self absorbed ,pompous ass, the other doesn't take himself seriously One is beloved and followed by geniuses, the other is on in every retirement home and morgue. One is worth watching................. Bill O'Reilly isn't .. He doesn't even belong in the same sentence with Colbert.. outclassed O'Reilly!!!! Stephen Stephen Stephen ....
+MrSkeezymak Of course he wasn't pissed. It was one character playing off another. The 'Bill O'Reilly' of the O'Reilly Factor is a character just as 'Stephen Colbert' of the Colbert Report is a character. Both men do share many beliefs with their on screen persona but as people neither one actually acts like that.
'People criticise you for what you say - but they never give you credit for how loud you say it'.
Amazing line.
It's just one of many examples where he makes fun of Bill. Amazing indeed
Genius line.
Or how long you say it

The sarcasm is strong on this one. :P
Regardless, they're both sarcastic as fuck in this interview.
Goatmon
the intellect is strong in this one
"I want to bring the message of love and peace to a younger audience-people in their 60's, people in their 50's, people who don't watch your show."
Stephen Colbert is funny even when he's serious haha
he was being serious?
he never dropped character for a second. he's seriously a good actor. also fuck bill o reilly what a turd.
Following Feynman I know he wasn't being serious. I was being sarcastic
Actually no, he's no where near as funny on his new late show.
"actually no" as if it's a matter of fact and not opinion :')
Colbert is so fuckin witty.
Obviously Stephen Colbert is a better Bill O'reilly.
And who are, a left-wing critic?
CodeSnap I am a grammar teacher. Would you like to come to my class?
CodeSnap daaammmnn i called 911, they said they're sending the whole fire department
Alex Mercer Woosh.
CodeSnap Woosh!
Hahahahahah he turned the entire interview into a joke xD
Bill, I am whoever YOU want me to be... genius.
Guys as much as I hate O'Reilly he was clearly in on the joke and playing along...
Yea no
clearly in on the joke.
It just appears that way. Because Bill knows if he didn't look like he's in on the joke, he'd look like a clown.
yeah, he made a good efford. not he just looks so stuck up
They should have two debate teams talk about issues
Hannity, orielly, coulture, limbaugh vs
Maher, stewert, colbert, cenk
And maybe throw in some lightsabers at the end ;)
Come on, no team science? Richard Dawkins, Bill Nye, and Niel DeGrasse Tyson would crush the Right wing team.
Don't forget michio kaku, he'd be the master of them all haha
Bill Maher: Anti-Vaxxer and Anti-GMO
Cenk Uygur: Denies the Armenian Genocide
orielly: Anti truth, anti common sense
colter: doesnt have a brain
Hannity: a sell out to modern conservitism
limbaugh: One warped conservative
John Gregson Wait, where's John oliver on stewarts team? he'd wreck the republican's ass.
O'Reilly is really obsessed about last names. Who gives a shit?
My last name is Native American. He couldn't even pronounce it. I wonder what he'd say about it!
And I thought conservatives lacked a sense of humor.
They do.
bigmack0033 It's only funny because colbert is pretentious enough to change the pronunciation, and then reveals the origins on it and it's pronounced different.
bigmack0033 It's about dissing the French people.
Did I miss something, or did O'Reilly not know he was being mocked the whole time?
He did know, he just allowed himself to enjoy it and make jokes back for once instead of being the stuck up jerk he is. This is just both of them poking fun at each other. He'd be tolerable as a person if he acted like this more
***** i was being a bit sarcastic...very good point though
***** I agree. O'Reilly is playing a character just as much as Colbert is. Just playing it for a crowd that actually takes him seriously and that doesn't get the joke. He knows where the money is.
Bill gave a very tongue in cheek interview. I honestly think that he respects Colbert and finds him funny.
KatotownUSA he does. And he actually likes jon stewart too.
the king of sarcasm, colbert
I think that anyone who sees this and believes O'Reilly is taking the interview seriously has never actaully seen him give a real interview.
He's blatantly playing along with Colbert the entire time. And it's hilarious.
I've watched him for years and still haven't seen him give a real interview
Goatmon As Colbert is playing around with him. It's a big giant goof. Which is all they could ever give.
Goatmon This man once stated "we don't know what makes the tides".
With complete sincerity.
No joke.
Salvage Pullen I LOVE YOUR ICON! ZORUAAAAAA!
I don't know how Colbert can do this with a straight face and never break character. He's hilarious!
O'Reilly didn't think Colbert would show up in character... He didn't know what to do! lolol
stephen colbert doesnt break character
@2:24 I think he broke character, his statement there was directly from the heart. Other than that, I agree
Look up "Colbert Suq Madiq"
demigod2324 haha, thanks, that was hilarious!
vinsanity982 I almost think that was add without his knowledge because he cracks up like he did not expect it at all
To be fair, neither does Bill
Best O'Reilly's interview to date
Colbert is waaay to smart for Bill hahaha he is just being sarcastic and mocking bill the ENTIRE time hahaha
Everyone is waaay to smart for bill
I like how Stephen was able to get the staff members to laugh out loud
Colbert is amazing at standing his ground. His satire is amazing, i guess bill isnt into that..
Oreilly isnt into any sort of debating or hearing or different opinions or intelligent conversation
Bill is fooling around too here guys, they're both having fun :) they're adults. Chill :)
John Uysal Sorry, but I really don't think he is. He's legitimately a moron. I used to think he just acted like a dumbass for his show, but then I saw some of his homemade, off the air videos and vlogs... and very much regretted it.
Lynne the Trendy Tetraodontiforme He is a dumbass, but this was an act. Learn to discern things better.
Written Word
Are you sure? Well okay then.
I can typically tell an act pretty well when I see it, but it's difficult to see with O'Reilly.
Written Word
I mean, considering it's an interview on TV, I'd assume most of it was at least loosely planned out, but I get the feeling that that smirky expression on Bill's face is real disgust. :|
Wow look at Oriley..He just always goes for the cheap shots...that is all he has
Cobert's humorous sarcasm is pure genius.
+andy765gtr and you would be exactly right
I don't know about like, but they definitely respect each other professionally. They were both enjoying the back and forth, O'Reilly isn't that relaxed on a normal basis.
+DARIVS ARCHITECTVS
But I doubt that Seven could stand to hang out with the creep.
N/C
mhikl
+DARIVS ARCHITECTVS i think you are actually high as fuck
Colbert: "Do you know what I hate about people who criticise you? They criticise you about what you say, but they never give you credit for how loud you say it".
Bill: "That's true...".
Colbert: "Or how long you say it".
Colbert is king !
Colbert for President! US, France, Ireland, I don't care... Pick one it doesn't matter.
Yes Bill, thank you for being such a simplistic, cardboard character that has made it absurdly easy for Colbert to mine continuous comedy gold off your self aggrandizing, shallow view of the world.
lol bill is trying so hard
Colbert is such a troll lol
this was a great watch. Colbert is a clever fucking guy!
troll level is over 9000 for sure
Hell Yeah! Colbert whooped Bill's ass!
to be in the no spin zone actually gives me vertigo. lmao
The Orange Gamer He did? I thought they were just joking with each other.
This is great. In Oreilly's megalomania, he thinks Cobert's show is solely based on him, and Cobert is totally feeding him in his delusion.
While there's likely a hint of truth to that, he is very much playing it up for laughs, neither of them are being serious here.
Colbert vs O'Reilly 10-0.
kuaran I think you pretty much summed it up perfectly lol.
This is proffesional trolling
"They criticize what you say, but they never give you credit for how loud you say it" -Stephen Colbert.
I couldn't even breathe when I heard that, it was so go damn funny
The only thing O'Reilly was trying to get on Stephen was his name. That was his big deal reveal, like the world didn't already know. LOL.
"I'm doing you, Bill!"
lmao
He's acting like Tony Stark and it's beautiful
I love how he immediately says he's not French and Bill still has to say he talked to his 3rd grade teacher... he just SAID he's Irish, can you not take YES for an answer?
Polar opposites :
One Pumps people full of fear and hatred, the other full of laughter
One is a blowhard ,self absorbed ,pompous ass, the other doesn't take himself seriously
One is beloved and followed by geniuses, the other is on in every retirement home and morgue.
One is worth watching................. Bill O'Reilly isn't .. He doesn't even belong in the same sentence with Colbert.. outclassed O'Reilly!!!! Stephen Stephen Stephen ....
This was a joke, do you understand that? Or does it need more explaining?
knuxfan23 finally someone who sees that.
Ikr
Omg xD colbert is so satirical and facetious in this interview. I'm fucking in love 😂😂
Bill wasnt pissed. This was great.
+MrSkeezymak yeah total clickbait.
+knight44441
+Artimes Snow I agree, but not gonna comment XD
+MrSkeezymak Of course he wasn't pissed. It was one character playing off another. The 'Bill O'Reilly' of the O'Reilly Factor is a character just as 'Stephen Colbert' of the Colbert Report is a character. Both men do share many beliefs with their on screen persona but as people neither one actually acts like that.
+popecorkyxxiv I don't know, if they were playing characters they wouldn't try to destroy the 4th wall
You can literally hear the crew laughing at what stephen says. Hes so clever I'm just amazed
