Slept over at a friend house after bar hopping spend the day and and he gave me a bottle of Tuscan leather to use and I was moved by how many compliments I've gotten I felt like a celebrity.
Its defo a really unique fragrance. I certainty appreciate it. Really brings out beautifully the Tobacco and Vanilla notes. However, i feel like your average person or crowd who isn't so much into fragrances will deem it over powering \ too strong. But then again its Tom Ford so its meant to make a statement. Also really strong longetivity which is one of my top criteria for any fragrance
Great to hear both of your takes on all of these neat fragrances. I️ especially liked Carlos’ discussion of Amber Absolute, which has also become one of my very favorite fragrances. I️ did a comparison of the vintage vs 2015 releases since I️ was fortunate enough to snag a bottle of the former, and I️ have a tough time deciding which I️ like more, but both are neat-perfection. I️ digress haha.

Next day he wore them , oh dear ... it’s just simply killed all the peoples perfume at work place , it’s a amazing and super long lasting. Tobacco Oud Intense is just hard to get and also ridicilously expensive. Actually every Tom Ford Private Blend parfume is incredibly expensive but that Tobacco Oud Intense is 430€ for 100ml.
I bought Tuscan Leather. I live in Houston, HOT and humid summers, only a few weeks of “ cold weather “. I’ve worn Tuscan leather and never got a compliment. I’ve overheard people saying they didn’t like the way it smell on me. I bought it cause to me it smelled super masculine and refined. Im going to keep my Tuscan leather fragance and only use it for super cold days. I’d not recommend it if you live in the south or if you are young.
I would love a part 2 . Im trying to decide which private blend is for me. I love the smell of tobcco vanille but I dont see myself wearing it. Soleil Blanc is lovely but I want something with a little more power. I'm going to try noir de noir and cafe rose next
I purchased my first bottle from this line oud wood intense. It’s very bold piney oudy gingery vibe. Perfect for winter and fall. I wouldn’t wear this in summer.
Wonderful video! I'm really stoked that Tobacco Vanille sat this one out! Short story, my first time smelling TF private blends saw me try Tobacco Vanille and Oud Wood (two most hyped). Oud Wood was love at first sniff. But to my nose Tobacco Vanille smelled exactly like Paan - an Indian recreational drug made of tobacco & areca nut wrapped in betel leaf! I was so disappointed, but at least I was amused too! :D

Ombre Leather 16 , in my opinion, is MUCH better than Tuscan Leather... actually smells like leather. But... let's talk about Amber Absolute... my circle of friends like all of the Tom Ford fragrances that I wear... but... of all of the TF fragrances that I own and wear... I have never worn Amber Absolute without have a stranger approach me and ask what I am wearing and where can they get it!
Tuscan leather does not smell like a new luxury car lol bc my car is brand new and they don’t smell the same at all. Tuscan leather, to me, has an Aventus vibe after about 5 hours. Sometimes I can’t tell if I’m wearing Aventus or Tuscan leather depending on the environment I’m in in the colder days.
I'm not a Oud Wood fan but it is way better when it settles. If I just spray it on me it smells like I rolled around on old fire wood that was burning all night but cooled down for hours and was sprayed with a something better. The blend needs to sit on you for a while. Tuscan Leather is coming in the mail. Ombre Leather is my Favorite until I get my hands on Tuscan Leather.

Sorry Carlos "TF Amber Absolute" is definitely an acquired taste & defo not for me... But as you say perfumery is subjective & all about personal taste. I have a decant of AA but have never worn any of it tbh, not sure when/where I'd wear it, as it is a very outstanding & daring scent? Oud Wood for me is amazing, was my 2016/17 autumn/winter signature scent & is still one of my fav winter scents to date, although this winter I've been alternating between. CDFP & CDHP. Tuscan Leather is indeed a perfume masterpiece but I much prefer the more "user friendly" Ombre Leather 16 or 18!!!!

tuscan leather: when you first apply it, it has the leatheryness to it, but over time, to me, the raspberry part comes out more
