What did I use? The windows come in the kit. The broken window panels are in the frames in the kit. The little angled windows are part of the window in the kit. Are you talking about the glue? I use a Testor's glue which is specific for windows and dries clear. You could also use a "Canopy Glue" which dries perfectly clear.
@@MuskokaCentral I was actually referring to the small metal looking rectangular frames used for the window pieces...so I have to buy the kit to get them? I was hoping I can just pick up something similar from a crafts store..
For a base? The kits are very strong and could sit on XPS foam. I use 1/2" MDF because I want to be able to move the diorama around and have it match up with the track, which will be on 1/2" XPS foam. Both the foam and diorama will be mounted on 1/2" plywood benchwork.
@@MuskokaCentral well, for the overall buildings.... Like if I had used a mix cardboard and xps foam for the exterior walls with other little craft accessories for the mini crates and lights to make something like this diorama.
@@RoRo-zh4uf If you are thinking of making a structure out of foam and cardboard, it's certainly possible. Print out some photos and glue them to the outside of the cardboard.
What did you use for those mini window frames? I was at a michaels craft store but couldn't think if the name if them...🤔

Is xps foam and cardboard still good enough to make a diorama building at this level? Since that's all I have access to use..
