This was 5 years ago. He is Danta Wright and the mother of the victim didn’t want to sit through a trial so the judge sentenced him to 25 to 53 years as agreed to on the plea bargain. I give this mom credit because I couldn’t sit by and watch as the person who ended my child’s life has the audacity to smile, laugh and make a mockery of what my poor child had to endure at the hands of pure EVIL! I hope and pray that he NEVER sees the light of day in any other setting besides prison where he belongs.

His lawyer is disgusting for saying that his smiling and laughing was not disrespectful to the victim and his family. What a disgusting lie! That disgusting killer purposely laughed, smiled, grinned and acted like a real piece of crap and was about as disrespectful to the victim and his family as you can get. For that they should forfeit all visitors and mail for him in lockup for the first 3 years of his prison sentence. Absolutely no contact with any friends or family for 3 years.
Sentencing should be up to the judge not the prosecutor.
