In these videos, it would be great if you can do a reminder on the grip of high backhand volley. I believe you use the continental grip for all volleys which is the most common grip for volleys? Anyways thx for your videos. Really appreciate them
You played the volleys at eye level, which is the easiest ball to kill imo. I find it much harder to hit the ball slightly over your head, when you’re not able to straighten the arm and “smash” the ball. I always rely on my two handed volley at that height
I do t want to be disrespectful, but do you even play tennis? At the net you want to take time away from the opponent and not wait for the ball or backup…
Interesting that you still use prep with racquet head laid back, so it's 50/50: you snap at the ball, but hit with rigid form high to low. Sometimes I found myself sending the balls too high with this motion. The "ensuring" fix it preparing with high racquet head, higher than contact. But it's longer in prep, so I get that you still need that "partial snap" at the beginning.

Thank you for your advice
You're welcome
Nick would you move your grip on the handle higher?
Question: is the backwards momentum (foot steps) ideal when executing a forehand or backhand volley when the arm and body are moving forward?
how about using a double handed backhand volley in such cases

Wait for it to drop then a little then
Balls that go past your shoulder and are fast are usually always out don’t even bother.
