- Three years after the release of their tenth album, Wilco is finally ready to present their eleventh. The "Schmilco" follow-up is titled "Ode to Joy" and is set to be released October 4 via Wilco’s own dBpm Records. The band also just shared the album's first single, “Love is Everywhere (Beware)”. Both the single and the album detail the band’s reckoning with the current political climate and the act of finding joy within it. Jeff Tweedy and Nels Cline of the band joined BUILD to talk new music and play a few songs.

Jeff Tweedy never fails to impress me in interviews. He is able to articulate his thoughts with candor and honesty. As crazy as I am for their music, I think I love the band even more because of who they are and how they act on their beliefs.
Infinite Jester Really well put yourself, Jester.
Great book he put out. Highly recommended.
Infinite Jester 👊🏿💜
Have you read his book? That's what the whole thing is like. I highly recommend it.
Nice name;)
Who needs an other Wilco record??? I do!
Love listening to Jeff even in a boring interview.
Jeff is so wise. I can't wait for the record!
I heard him chatting with an audience when someone made that comment. He said “Well wisdom is overrated.” Such a humble down to earth guy.
I love this song so much. Maybe their best tune in a deep catalog. ❤
But no song! :-(
Nels wearing Buffalo Daughter shirt, that's cool
That's crazy, I work right next door to that place
where is the live performance?
Awesome - now please get your talented selves and your new tunes out to California please!!! :) The 2016 Fillmore shows seemed WAY TOO long ago!!!!
The intro is We Three Kings....
Wow. Love these guys
Sucks they took down the performance from Jeff and Nels. It was really great.
Was hoping it had a performance!!!😢😢😢
good intv, not stoked about well placed ad peppered in right at the end there. maybe add before and after - i'll stick around for it if it helps float the channel.
Hey Jeff, where’s your jacket from?
Buffalo Exchange
duck brewster cheers
Which is it?
Recording in the studio everyday can be dangerous for some artists, he’s gotta have tons of unfinished ideas and some of those ideas turn into mediocre tunes which is why my hat goes off to Jay, his reputation stands on the few great records he helped write and arrange without any residual fecal matter from the following 20 years of the Jeff Tweedy Band.
The interviewer didn’t ask one coherent question
Neither of them are into this interview at all
I know right xD Jeff had a near heart attack with that last question. He sounded so nervous when the man stopped asking his question.
Sick of that attitude.
Damnit. I hate when I find out someone is a leftist
Most musicians are.
Well, you should quit listening to most music since almost every musician is more or less left-leaning.
