Possible but not definite. The injury certainly hurt their chances in this series but Tim Duncan was just on another level in 2003 so nothing would've been guaranteed either way.

@lilzack24 Aside from TimDuncan (I'm a spur fan) my favorite player ever has always been finley starting from the suns until he became a spur and I was so happy as were the fans that Finley got him one a ring that was well deserved. He took a step down on the option list and become a team player but hit clutch shots. Dirk got his. And I doubt Nash will get one poor guy. Ring or no ring he still is going to be in the HOF...

Maybe game 7, but SA would have won that series at home in game 7, they were just too strong that year when it came down to it. Every series went 6 that year, this one did as well. Spurs were too dominant inside for the Mavs, period.

They won 60 games, sure Manu was not a star yet but Jackson was lights out in those playoffs, they had Speedy and Kerr to back up Parker, Malik and Willis off the bench, that team as DEEP AS HELL!!!!! I mean they were deep as hell that year, they were not weak at all, you must be crazy to say that there. The Mavs had no frontline to stop Tim, David nor Malik, they would not have won that series, period end of story. They were up 2-1 when Dirk went down, shoudl have been 3-0.
What a bullshyt fukkin loss, SA would blow leads alot that year, but they clearly when focused were clearly the best team in the NBA that year, BAR NONE.
I doubt it, they squeaked out GAME ONE ON SOME LUCK SHYT! Game two SA dominated them, Game three SA won as well with Dirk, they were not going to beat SA after they beat LA, period end of story! Noboyd was messing with SA that year when they put it on PERIOD, but keep thinking that way.
