…Such a comprehensive video you put together. During the 1970s, we had those plastic dowels and sandpaper coverings. I am so happy for the many varieties that we have to choose from now. My birds were afraid of the Wacky Wood perches, but learned to love them to swing on. 😁👱🏻♀️💕🐩

Great video; very informative. I'm glad that I got rid of all the plastic perches that came with the cages. Your summary of "one is never enough" is right on. I also like the variety of perches that can be used, and the birds look good on them.

I had a love bird get her foot stuck on the puffy fabric of a snuggle toy and she died (I suspect from exhaustion and stress) as it happened when I was at work during the day (8 hrs.only). Her nails were not over grown so it wasn't a case that clipping her nails would have prevented the situation. So I'm always afraid to use those spiral rope like braided hanging perches as I'm afraid the claws will catch inside the fibers and the same thing will happen to them. It's the same with many toys.
You are so attentive and caring with your birds I love your videos! I just have had a bad experience with the bird product I had so I'm really trying to prevent an experience like this ever again. I felt so guilty and so sad about what happened.
