Do i have to use open camera, though? Can i just use the Android samsung camera?
You do not need to use any APP. I had to comment about it because my phone like many Android phones are a hissing mess due to excess audio levels even with pro audio gear. Last time I used a Samsung phone, it had good audio without any APP needed. Some phones need an APP when it fails to auto detect the microphone.
Only use an APP if you have any audio issues.

I tried on my phone while streaming my game on twitch didn't work can't hear myself lol
@@lobocodyt2675 Hmmm might be the APP doesn't recognize it? I record myself usually with Open Camera. The Maono PD200X is a HUGE upgrade to this mic, night and day difference. If you want me to pre test an APP for you let me know... Than again I use Android phone and use a Xiomi 13T phone. Android phones like One Plus doesn't work normal, you need to change settings in the phone. What Phone are you using?
