Scuba diving in Grand Cayman is just awesome. I especially love diving the ship wreck, Kittiwake. The shore diving at Lighthouse Point is the best with a beautiful swallow reef right off the dock and the shear deep wall is a short swim. There is also a 15’ tall underwater bronze statue called Guardian of the Reef.
Amazing! Sounds like you've done a lot or it. I think it is definitely considered one of the best places in the Caribbean for diving. Thanks for sharing!
@@ThePlanetD In 1983 I married my dive instructor in Grand Cayman. Her Cayman dive company was Divetech. Awesome boat diving but her shore diving shops I really enjoy because there is no schedule and a fraction of the cost. Grab a tank for $10 and off on a shallow dive or a deep wall dive.

The Traveling Duo I’m a caymanian and I would really recommend going to the Cayman Turtle farm! You have the opportunity to swim with turtles aswell as hold them. And if you want the best pina coladas on island go to paradise bar and grill!

I hope things open up soon and the vaccines get rolled out so we can all start traveling again. Travel is so important and to have something to look forward to really uplifts the spirits. When you can go, you are going to love the Cayman Islands.

Only thing to me that was of interest were the Blow Holes..There was a local that pretty much made it an excursion... 7 mile beach was ok as well..The water was magnificent as expected to be in the carribean. Would I go again? Probably not. I prefer St Maarten. Headed there in November.. 4th time going (that should tell you something)

Glad the projects are not next to the vacation spot. Chicago il is a vacation spot and has the projects right next to it. That's lousy. I wish the projects never exsisted in a vacation area. The projects are all in downtown Chicago. It's not the perfect getaway. The islands are the perfect getaway because there are no projects around.
For my 30th birthday May 2019 I wanted to either go to Maui Hawaii or GC what would you recommend?
That's a tough choice, they are both amazing destinations. What part of the country do you live in? If you are on the West Coast, I'd suggest Maui, if you are on the East, the Cayman Islands.

Maui is 100X better! So much to see and do there and way more beautiful. Not really anything to see or do in Grand Cayman but sit in the beach or scuba dive.

Good point, we made sure not to lift them out of the water. It is very important to never take them out of water and if you do touch them, they must be held underwater as we did.

How is it to live there?
Grand Cayman is one of the top diving destinations in the world and you did not even mention that. This is a lame list for the clueless tourist.
We could have easily just put in a bunch of stock footage and said we did it, but we prefer to keep our videos authentic. You just sound like an angry person hiding behind a keyboard. Unfortunately, we didn't dive while there. we can't do everything and we only share what experiences we did. WE are not a television production company and we don't just put in stock footage for every tour on the book. We prefer to share our own experiences and recommendations.

2. Cayman is boring, why? I grew up there and know eveything now there's nothing special any more then just a bunch of non-Caymanians thrashing my country
I have lived in West Bay, Grand Cayman for 39 years and still love everything about this Caribbean life style. Awesome white beaches, crystal blue ocean, abundant marine life, scuba diving, and snorkeling with all my children and grandkids.
