    I did test drive a used 2022 with a stick with less then 20,000 miles. The clutch's throw felt a little short and a little harder then I thought it should have felt. I never had a chance to compare it to a new Versa.

    My 2024 with the Cvt turns 1900 rpms at 70 mph. And the best mileage I've gotten so far has been 40 mpg. In town 32. Mileage was calculated dividing trip mileage by gallons. The computer always shows higher then the actual fuel mileage. Sometimes I regret not holding out for a stick with the S package but I had been waiting over a year for cars prices to become reasonable to buy anything! I can remember a saleshole telling me a base model would cost me $26,000 - $25,000 out the door after offering MSRP out the door. He said maybe he could get me $24,000 out the door.
    After a year of waiting I still paid about $1200 over MSRP out the door for a SV model. And I had to trade my old car in for that price too! I'm happy with my new Versa. No looking back now lol.

      Congrats on your Versa! I think if you change the CVT oil periodically, it should last a long time.

      @@youtoobe169Yes I believe so to. Every 30,000 regardless. I just might do it every year regardless of the mileage. My old car had a Jatco Cvt transmission, same as The Nissans my first change was done at 80,000 miles! It lasted 14 years and 150,000 miles. I did a second change after 60,000. It never slipped. When I traded it in the trans was making a noise that you could hear when slowing down. A trans shop told me it was the cv joints but to other places said it was coming from the trans itself. The car needed a paint job as the old paint was coming off and then the trans noise or cv. I drove it that way for many miles. But the trans never slipped! That car also had an external trans cooler. I think that might have been the reason why I was able to get away with a 80,000 change. Nissans don't come with one. Plus Nissan switched fluid manufactures some time back after years of failed transmissions. I believe this might have been the reason for so many trans problems with Nissans. My Mits used a different fluid yet it was the same trans as The Nissans, plus the cooler. So yeah as long as I don't wait 80,000 miles to change the fluid in this Versa I believe I can get 200,000 miles or more out of this trans. I certainly believe I can at least equal the mileage of a clutch which is no small bill to replace.

    I have my music on a USB stick that's plugged into the front USB port. When i plugged my phone into one of the back USB ports it glitched the system & wouldn't read my music. The radio kept coming on saying NISSAN CONNECT then it would go black screen. It kept doing that over & over.

    Just bought one of these from a dealer in McAlester OK. It has been on their lot going on three months. Absolutely none to be found in Tulsa or Oklahoma city. I believe this is the only one in the state for sale. Just a bit of trivia. Since you bought your 2023 the msrp not including destination has gone from 15,870 to 16,130 to 16,390 (What I paid), and now I see some in transit where they have gone up again to 16,680.

    As with many things, nothing good ever lasts. Nufiinish is not what it used to be. There is at least one RUclips video out there that covers this. You'll notice...once it's brought to your attention...that even the liquid's color is different. Now, whether the other waxes/sealants have gotten better or Nufinish has gotten worse, the reality is Nufinish ranks as only average now.

    I've been in the market for a lightly used versa - until I discovered that 2018-19 Hyundai Accents have more power, weigh less and have folding rear seats 😅 gonna be a tough decision because I think the versa looks better

    • @BillyBlazeTheKeenest
      @BillyBlazeTheKeenest 4 месяца назад +1

      I'd be careful. Hyundai Accents are easily stolen, especially from those model years, due to the lack of any proper security features.

    I just bought a 2024 and my cvt transmission is always slipping around the speed of 35 to 45 mph, no check engine lights on. It started on day 3 also I never get over 37 mpg, I should’ve got the 5 speed. I really don’t know what to do about the transmission slipping 😢

      When I slow down and make turns around 10 - 15 mph and get back on it the CVT feels like it slips if I give it too much gas. Someone else told me the same thing about their Versa.

    How would you rate the manual transmission and clutch overall ? Smooth ? I’m just looking for the 70’s -80’s Japanese manual econobox feel. Had a 76 Corolla five speed - no gear grinding in that one or grabby clutch just very seamless . Some in the Nissan forum mention less than smooth clutch engagement .
