- Medellin is the largest city in Colombia's mountainous Paisa-landia. In this one I travel into El Poblado to find the action. I may have encountered too much action in this one. Due to the political and economic situation in Venezuela, migrants have flooded Medellin, creating and interesting dynamic in the night time streets of El Poblado. Let's investigate together!

Because Medellin has such a bad reputation with foreign men getting set-upped and robbed unfortunately you can't just take somebody you meet on the street back to your room... especially when they ask "can I go back to your room?". I'm sure it was tempting though...

There's zero legitimate work available to them, due to both legal barriers and the fact that any legitimate jobs were snatched up by the first wave of Venezuelan refugees 6 or 7 years ago. So this woman is doing what she has to to survive and save her child. The alternative is likely starvation. To write her off as a "picky whore" in this context... Jesus.
