That intro is just chefs kiss perfection!! I got mine off of Hiyas website as soon as it dropped. The paint design is like when you’re bbqing and the coals are glowing which I like a lot
6:21 While this probably isn't intentional, it ironically works consistency wise with how the rest of Godzilla's scales and plated armor are painted. Think of the segmented plates on Godzilla's tail sort of like roof shingles with a very bright light source under them. That's pretty much what it looks like to me. The same thing is going on with the plated armor on Godzilla's thighs as well
The problem is that shma puts out so many repaints, with each being garbage QC with each re-released sculpt. With hiya, at least each one is amazing within each re-release. One is plausible, one is sloppy and doesnt feel worth it.
Yea repaints are inevitable and help these companies fund the brand new stuff. Basicallly every figure company does it. But at least Hiya puts in effort like you said. They make repaints that are worth owning even if you have the original. Versus SHM repaints that are really only justifiable to buy if you missed the first release.
I have never owned a Monsterverse Godzilla anything. While I'm still not big on the design of the monster itself, THIS is exactly the kind of look and quality that had me open my wallet!
I had already purchased the original Hiya Burning Godzilla but wasn't too impressed with it. I like it but I think it could have been better, so the Battle Version is definitely something I want to have in my collection.

I’m really curious how a pulse effect could be done. Obviously I have no knowledge of how effect parts are done and correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems really difficult and definitely expensive, especially if you want the mothra silhouette in that effect too
I tried getting it from that one site that was selling it for $130 even though I didn’t really wanna get it for that price I got the first version so I wasn’t super pressed but I didn’t know if I’d get another shot, the site slowed to a crawl and it sold out before I could checkout. Now that I’m seeing the comparison I’m glad I got to order it from hiya! It looks way better than the standard one, I thought it just had better spike paint. 80 bucks is still a bit steep but I did try to bite the bullet for way more so I’m happy
Got it on the rerelease couple days ago, can’t wait! I’m planning on making him light up: does anyone have ideas how? I’ve seen Instagram posts of him lit up so I just assume they sneak some lights inside the gaps in the articulation right?
I absolutely love this one! Haven’t tried the neck swap yet with Ghidorah. I just hope there’s no issues. Can it work with both the left and right necks?
Nice review there, Steven! Honestly, I felt like Hiya Toys Burning Godzilla Battle Version is a much better improvement over the original one since it’s come to coloring and paint apps. And guess what, I successfully secured my preorder of the Burning Godzilla Battle Version exclusive, planning to rename it as Thermonuclear Godzilla.
Despite the ghidorah head, since we didn’t get a beam effect with this version I’m happy with the original version I picked up. Even though I do prefer the paint on this one

To be clear, they really did not lie. I made a video about exclusives a few weeks ago, and in it they were clear with their posting that it was first available at Shanghai WonFes, and it is common practice for things to be first available there and then order periods Later. Unfortunately, there are a lot of new content creators who don't exactly know what they're talking about in our experiencing things for the first time who are pushing information they believe they have the full aspect on, just like the minus one Godzilla heat ray and they don't have all of the correct information.
@jogibaer66618 officially they're marketing it without that right now. On the site and socials that's not there. However, that being said, even with Bandai and others even SDCC exclusive items have other order windows for their items, it's exceptionally common practice recently to make items widely more available. Note the ones from Shanghai, those have a sticker on them.

Also FYI, if you were successful with that retailer, check their RUclips page to see if they still have a list of people who "successfully purchased" the figure...

i specifically skipped on the first hiya burning goji because i expected them to make a translucent one and hiya did not disappoint
